There is something rather erotic about the symbiote as a concept (oozy, warm black thing that covers EVERY PART of you) and Brock's body-pride fused together. And his obsession with Peter Parker, of course.

I’ll post this here too, but I’m also confused if this counts, since I’m under the impression that Hercules probably didn’t need to exercise to become a true hero, as his power-levels were the same before and after.

I’m nearly sure that it was just cosmetic, and perhaps unnecessary, unlike fixing the clumsiness problem. Hard to be a hero if you destroy half the town doing it.

Growing a beard lands in the same category. I've had so many compliments from other guys about how awesome my beard looks and only like two from women.

The exercise didn't increase his strength, but it did hone it. Outside of being lovesick around Meg he was no longer clumsy. Plus essentially he was just going through puberty. Pre Phil, Hercules was about 13 and post training he was 18. So given his lineage his body changes would have happened regardless.

Women are incapable of understanding the actual effort it takes to have a /fit/ bod or a nice beard. Dudes no how hard it is to get to that level and can respect the commitment and time it took to get there.
Men don't have the pleasure of slapping on a pound of makeup to look good.

The muscle-gain gave him some much needed weight. I imagine stick-thin Hercules would be too easy to push around, regardless how effectively he might be able to push back.

But if the musculature would’ve changed due to god genes, and he needed to hone in on his strength and dexterity to eliminate clumsiness, what use would push ups be if he’s already going to look as muscular as a grown up no matter what he did? Things like endurance exercises and the loops thing contribute, but I fail to see how specific exercises for gaining muscles would.
