Some loose sketches. Playing around with the idea that the Live Wires are a pretty mishmash gang. Also trying a slightly different artstyle.

So the Live Wires are mostly getting stuff that looks like 1980s retro-future tech from the cult? Or is that an aesthetic they've decided to go for?

Ever since it reached a point where it was possible to make prosthetics that were significantly more capable than an equivalent human body part, there have been strict limitations put in place on the manufacture of anything that could be considered an "augmentation". There are certain frameworks that were manufactured prior to these limitations that are much easier to customize, which makes them popular among Modders. The Live Wires intentionally replicate these earlier frameworks, because their ownership is in something of a legal gray area. Because the installation framework of an integrated prosthetic is the most difficult part to replace, it's hard to legally mandate that someone undergo potentially life threatening surgery to remove the framework just to put in a modern framework that abides by the modern legal standards.

Sounds like someone at Carver Medical had a massive legal fight with someone else when they were first setting the groundwork in place for the technology in the 80s.

Carver Medical develops advanced healing technologies in the 1980s based off of the science of a super villain.

During the 1990s they branch out into prosthesis and make one major breakthrough after another.
Red flags go up since the Machine Cult had just been defeated and it might be a remnant of them.
Turns out the technology was developed independently, but harsher legal limits are placed upon the tech out of weariness over what happened at the end of the Super Cold War (body hijacking).

Carver tech is more plastic looking while cult tech is more flesh made metal looking and consistently several decades ahead of the curve making it all but impossible to reverse engineer without extensive resources to spare.
The Machine Cult views Carver prosthesis as "inelegant".

But would she enjoy because the cuts would be worth it if she did?

The extent to which Moira's "invisible body" she creates for herself to wrap up actually goes has never been answered. It might be that she creates a full hard-air facsimile of a body for movement and manipulation, or it might just be enough to act as a kind of basic "skin" of force keeping the wraps in place.

Leads me to wonder how much control she has over the shame of the air bubble or if it's a set, predefined shape as per the nature of the spell.

Yeah, I suppose it really does depend how exactly her force-blast powers work. I remember a discussion a while back about how she basically makes variably-hard blasts of magically enhanced air and mist or something. It'd make a lot of sense, then, if the reason she could fly was because she was basically just making a kind of controlled updraft for herself.

Then if her body is also a hard air construct, it really comes down to the level of control. It's gotta be enough that she's able to move like a person, right? She's shown in a few of the comics and pictures moving like she's got a normal body, with body language and everything. It's also possible that it's just her 'real body' when she's unbound, as opposed to her bound, limited book-only form. In that case, it really would be a literal invisible demon body underneath.

I think the book is as much her real body as anything.
But then again she's a demon, so biology is a non-issue.

We'd have to figure out demonology, and green demons all have that habit of being semi-incorporeal with only a few physical objects tied to their being.

Sure, I just mean maybe when she's bound she's limited to just her "head" to keep her under control, and only gets the rest of her body back when no longer bound. It's basically either she's got a fuckin weird mostly-invisible full body with a book for a head, or she's a book with a magic, hard-air doll construct she moves around and manipulates her environment with. Both are pretty weird and accomplish about the same thing from a narrative perspective, which is letting her have a body to move around with when unbound.

Demonology wouldn't be fun if it wasn't weird.

The thing I remember is she was able to do like an air focus blast canon thing. The "bullets" were in the shape of her hands/fingers. So Finger Pistol and Force Slap.

I don't remember exactly, but it was something like that. Blasts of air either in harder, more direct form, or like big gathering gusts.

We don't even know if they reproduce sexually.

The pink ones maybe, but the rest it seems more of an optional formality. Like with the old Crimson King marrying the Black Queen for political reasons and producing at least one offspring.

Well hopefully it'll stay up through tomorrow so some progress will happen with the Yea Forumsle story. With how much it gets discussed in the threads I'm surprised no one else has taken much note of it.

It's always been interesting to me how the Blissful Lady is the only one either smart or cunning enough to have a mole in Yellow's faction.

I still can't get over how many of the characters in that picture are actual characters in the extended canon of the demon planes.

I always thought it was just meant to show that the yellows buy her drugs.

Who is to say what's in those drugs.

About 16 of them are I think. Or at least 16 of them existed before that pic was drawn.

The only pics of the Supreme Duke of Moaning are in group shots.

I wonder what the side effects of her drugs are.
In demons I assume it's like a vitamin supplementary.

In people, maybe it grans temporary demonic magic powers?
But with a side effect of not being able to properly create your own dreamstuff anymore leading to insomnia and inability to get REM sleep.

Drugs that gran superpowers is a pretty common PSA sort of story, but it's one I think can still be fun despite being overly cliche. Feels like it could make for a good Yea Forumsntainment story where they have to do some cop stuff to figure out how and who is trafficking the demon drugs to Earth.

Continuing from the mellow drama, we're back at the studio, the action, once again, is pretty good, can't think of anything too add. So we can probably head over to 11, unless there's something you think I should look closer at.

Most of the issue is action, so not much to add on my part, only asking if you want to change up CG's offer? Do we want her to be the friendliest of the gods to SG? If so, is this still too friendly?

Do you think it needs to be changed? If you have ideas feel free to just lay them on me.

Up to that point CG has treated SG with at least formal politeness, willing to make champion clothes for her since that's CG's job and all. That's a step up from just out right ignoring SG exists or treating her as a lesser divinity like the rest of the pantheon.

I guess I'd ask whther WG's opinion on humans being "inside and out, so ugly" is a shared sentiment to the pantheon. that might make what I'd suggest make sense.

I'd say they all have varied opinions. WG is a war god, he only ever sees people at their most savage, he can only exist because people get so fucking pissed off they want some big guy in the sky to fucking murder their enemies and their families and scorch the earth they lived on.
Of course he'd view people as horrible and only good for prolonging his own life.

Most of the gods probably have a more neutral stance on humans as a whole.

Then something more neutral it is.

Instead I offer this line to end on.

An actual snag is CG having the pantheon like puppets. Now, if I'm reading this right, this is how she's growing in power, but you may want her to say something like "Hey , I found your little box!"

I'm not sure but she's in college, so she's between 18-21 right now?

People can still fill out in their 30s, even if they mostly just build fat and muscles, not height. However with girls, pregnancy increases/changes hormone production, so it is entirely possible that she'll grow tits due to having the baby.

Not a future suit concept in particular, but the idea was that ladybug changes up her suite from time to times as she tinker with it,. like poverty tony stark.

I guess that pic makes her taller than she normally is then. I guess the baby being so large should be a clue. On that note, the babies head is almost as big as the moms, which is definitely the wrong proportion, unless the baby is supposed to have a large head (which would make it a difficult birth).

But maybe she'd grow a little taller. It could be that she's an extremely late bloomer. It's uncommon but it can happen.

I mean, if she's still at the 18-21 college age. If she is in her mid 20s, then it is unlikely she'd get taller, she'd only grew some meat and fat on her bones.
