can we have a thread for best girl?
Nebby thread
Let me guess, you don't actually give a shit about Nebula from the comics, and you just want a stealth thread about her actress?
Not him but I want to cum in Karen Gillan's hair
To be fair no one cared for comics Nebula
I liked Nebula from super hero squad.
I legit thought Tony left Pepper for Nebula during the timeskip for a minute there in Endgame.
I mean I liked Nebula in the comics...
I also legit didn't know that was Gillan. Never found her that hot really.
That actually would have been pretty good. She had a better dynamic with Tony in like 5 minutes than MCU Pepper ever did.
Also fuck the MCU for making Pepper Tony's default love interest now.
Shit meant
>best girl
>threw BW and HE under the bus
Why did they make her bald?
Marvel casual here so if its a reference to a more modern run its lost on me.
Nah, Nebula isn't emotionally developed enough to get into a relationship. She's got a lot of shit to work through.
Remember her hug in GotG2 from Gamora? She was so alien to touch and contact that wasn't abuse
I like both of them, comic Nebula doesn't have much character development but she was a pretty credible Pirate Queen that managed to fucked up a Skrull planet, Xandar, and a bunch of other places and give the Avengers a hard time. She just made the error of messing with Thanos.
Also her relationship with Geatar was kind of cute and I miss it.
Her brain was fucked up after what happened to her in Infinity Gauntlet and Geatar (her first mate) took her to see a Doctor Mandibles or whatever I can't remember his name. He made her half cyborg. It happened in the Silver Surfer comics and it was a subplot that went for awhile until there was a big reveal.
I do
Damn that's one phat ass
I hate that comic Nebula is now "sister" of Gamora considering how much Lemire and other fought to keep her as Thanos "granddaughter" fuck you Cates!!
The point of Nebula is that she never grew up with Thanos and Gamora, so she never developed that sibling rivalry that unfortunately became popular in the MCU... she was just a pirate that wanted to use Thanos fame, then she became the second-in-command in The Graces, a team led by Gamora, they had a good relationship until the MCU and Bendis fucked it.
Now you have things like animated series and videogames where Nebula and Gamora are sisters, they will never change that again, I know many here think Nebula from the MCU is best, but the last thing Marvel needs is another sibling rivalry... you have Thor/Loki, Black Bolt/Maximus, Clint/Barney, Xavier/Cain, etc.
Sauce? What artist is that?
Art is kind of shit but it's from Secret Defenders #10 (Nebula appears in #9 too) and the artist is Tom Grindberg.
That's Marvel Editorial being incompetent and not giving a shit what writers do. You can have another writer making her Thanos' grandaughter again and it wouldn't phase them. Cates is the one that brought that back and it's most likely because he didn't give a shit or cared to research and thought she was her sister in the comics.
And you know he also claim to have read Lemire's Thanos.
That said I think Tini debunked having Nebula in her Thanos mini but I am not sure. She did say that Eros and Mentor would appear and knowing her I am sure Adam will pop up too since she loves him
>Secret Defenders
Haven't read that yet, will check out.
What are your favorite Nebula stories Yea Forums?
Her debut in Avengers and the stuff with Silver Surfer that leads to Infinity Gauntlet and the aftermath with her becoming a cyborg. That's pretty much the biggest stuff that she got. Other than that she just appeared here and there in a brotherl planet where comes from in Larsen's Nova, and in Annihilation: Ronan.
I guess she was OK in Lemire's Thanos but I did not care for her fucking the Champion of the Universe though.
And whats wrong with that
I was hoping that while would use the Gauntlet to turn herself into Supergiant because she deserves to be less of an ongoing body horror.
I like Nebula, though anything pass Infinity Gauntlet is gratuitous imo
Nebula is way hotter than karen
This makes no sense, someone explain
I can see that being plot point for GotG 3, especially since it reportedly involves the High Evolutionary. I don't expect him to start out as a straight up antagonist, but someone who has something to offer to the Guardians, as long as they're willing to overlook his less than ethical methods. Maybe Rocket's limited lifespan finally catches up with him, and HE has the means to extend it, and since it was implied Nebula's modifications cause her constant pain, he might offer to restore her body.
According to the commentary track, Gillan improvised Nebula awkwardly hugging her sister back, and Gunn loved it so much he cried manly tears while filming.
And given her past, I think it was remarkable how tender she was when caring for Tony and consoling Rocket. I appreciate that her role in Endgame was actually quite non-violent and focused more on helping and supporting others. Not once did we see her lash out in rage like in previous films, the only person she killed was her past self, and it was something she clearly regretted having to do, resorting to violence only when it was the only option left to save her sister.
A lot of people say she was the one who deserved to kill Thanos, and while that may be true, I feel it would have undermined her character arc. All the abuse she suffered was aimed at turning her into the perfect killer, and killing him would have validated his methods. Instead she tried to become the exact opposite of what Thanos wanted her to be, demonstrating that despite everything he did to her, he still failed to turn her into something she didn't want to be.
