Who are you kidding

Yes. I can focus on upcoming DCkino now.

No idea why you have to make it about companies but sure

Kind of, yeah.
I'll catch a doctor strange sequel tho.
That's about it.

Who is ffh?

I didn't watch Homecoming, why would I watch FFH?

>Oh...Mysterio looks like he'll be good...last one!
>Black Widow kinda interests me way more cause of endgame and Taskmaster is in it...last one!
>I just have to watch Guardians 3, they're great and Thors in it last one I promise..

The MCU story's over mate. There's just a buncha epilogues and wannabes coming up. I csn see that on home video someday. Or not. Who cares. I'm pretty tired of capeshit in general.

>Black Widow kinda interests me way more cause of endgame and Taskmaster is in it...last one!

I'm not one of the people saying they are ditching the MCU. But Black Widow seems profoundly boring, and that was before she died and made it a solo tier pointless prequel.

I'll just do what I always did and watch the ones theat interest me like Guardians and Doctor Strange

This, I'm only interested in Strange in the future as of now

I'll watch anything with Rocket and Bill if he actually shows up, otherwise i'm not very interested

I quit after Civil Airport

>tfw checked out after civil war because it was awful

Attached: 1467620876667.png (196x197, 34K)

>tfw I never got into it b/c they made Avengers without the duo who gave them their damn name

I did not even watch endgame. Shit time travel is shit

Honestly I would have quit if they didn't get the X-men and Fantastic Four.

I quit the MCU before AoU.

I quit because of aou

Why not watch both? You think those companies care what imaginary flag you stands by?

actually, yes. great place to get out. not one title interests me.

Yep.

I already did

I think it means Far From Home, which I'm probably going to wait for several weeks before pirating it.

I already quit.

I haven't watched Endgame, I'm not going to I am Sneakers O'Toole

Attached: 1467191880_tumblr_lrw17f88Y61qbrxrbo1_500.gif (500x270, 499K)

Wake me up only when there is more Ant-Man.

Attached: CELERYMAN.gif (139x226, 755K)

Everyone in this thread is lying

Not after Endgame but after vol. 3, I have yet to watch Homecoming and Captain Marvel. I only saw half of Ant-Man and the Wasp because it was on Netflix at the time and my cousins were warching it when i came in. Before Endgame I watched Infinity War.

I have no desire to watch more Marvel movies besides GotG vol. 3 and after that I'll probably just know what happens because of this board but I won't be that interested in them.

I haven't seen a MCU film since the first Captain America movie.

I'm out though. Literally no interest in anything they got coming up.

Can't quit what you never started.

Not gonna watch FFH or Black Widow, but I'll give the Guardians of the Galaxy one a whirl.

All the anons who said the quit.
Stop lieing

I literally quit everything Disney related. Just an hour ago, my gf asked me whether I'd want to go and see Aladdin in the theater but fuck Disney for only making mindless cashgrabs. Everything Disney makes in live action has become dogshit except for Christopher Robin. Sad as fuck. I'm glad that at least some of the animated movies are nice like Moana and Zootopia

I'd tell you to fuck off since I've not seen an MCU movie since GOTG2 but you're absolutely right. Yea Forums are a bunch of hypocrites who have probably seen Captain Marvel 5 times while saying it is shit.

Aladdin was a good movie, so was Endgame actually

Not the guy but I can't support Disney anymore because they are literally the reason for the industry going even more down the gutter
Avengers was the starting point for movies using comedy elements instead of proper dialogues and cheap effects and set pieces in exchange for effort. I'm not a company fanboy but I do enjoy the DC, Fox, and even Sony movies more at this point. Fuck me, Disney managed to fuck up the MCU and Star Wars AND they are now fucking up with the live action stuff

I only care for Dr.Strange new movies, and the third GotG.

Endgame was solid. Definitely the best Avengers yet and literally the first MCU movie that had me shed a tear (Scott meeting his daughter again). The last third was kinda crappy though but I'll take it due to the first half of the movie where they actually had great character interactions for once
I'm refusing to see Aladdin though because it looks cheap and because the songs I heard were horrible albeit having great instrumentals

This. Once Strange is done, I'm done.

Are people really so attached to the brand?

People just watch whatever's good.

Did Thor really say that while making that face? Why do MCUfags swallow this bile?

I'm avoiding everything with Captain Marvel in it.

>complains about bad dialog, cheap effects, and set pieces
>I enjoy DC movies

Maybe that and Fantastic 4 for me. Only way I'll see more is if they drop the comedy schtick and write a serious story for once. Ragnarok may as well have had a laugh track.

I really don't need another shitty version of Doom in my life.

Basically I'm out unless
1) I hear a new movie is legitimately great from people I trust, and not just typical MCU okay to good.
2) They bring in a director who is really surprising and out there (Coen brothers, Wachowskis, David Lynch, Jodorowsky, etc.)
3) Nextwave gets a movie

>Wachowskis
They haven't done anything worthwhile since the first Matrix.

Guilty. I'll probably see Dr. Strange 2 movie.

As of right now the only comic book movies I'd care to see are any potential Into the Spiderverse followup and Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 with Thor.

Less "I'm done" and more "none of the stuff we know about interests me."

I'm sure another one will come along, but it's at least a few years out.

Me too. It was like a shitty tv show I couldn’t be bothered to watch anymore.

I never watch them in theaters. Might watch the new ones in 5 years

More like Sneakers O'Sneed am irite???

Get over it, mousedrones

abloo abloo people should just wake up and stop watching MCU movies abloo

Nah, I'm done. From here on out its a pirates life for me.

Attached: 1554439000890.jpg (960x960, 87K)

>should just wake up and stop watching MCU movies
what if we ALREADY stopped?

What do they even have?
Xmen?
No way they are going to cast anyone good for those rolls.

I didn't even watch Endgame

Man, I was out before Civil War, Faggot For Homo isn't gonna sway me when Infinity Snap and Endgay couldn't.

Then congrats on be contrarians? Lmao'ing at your next possible retort

For me it was age of ultron and even by then i wasn't seen every MCU movie outside of Iron Man 1 and two and Avengers.

Attached: 1537884119854.jpg (669x470, 204K)

>Who are you kidding

I'm finished with disney until GOTG3 comes out and once that's finished, I'm done forever until something better comes along.

Disney movies can crash and burn until they make something original. Endgame ended the MCU for me.

Nah, i just don't care for these movies. And i don't if it makes me outcast in normalfags eyes.

I quit the MCU after Civil War, the only reason I saw Thor Ragnarök was because my cousins wanted to see it.

>ITT
DC virgin central

Whoopsie, dont worry OP, true Marvel chads are not done yet

Yes and if you dare to criticize MCU you get shit on by fags.

>Only way I'll see more is if they drop the comedy schtick
They won't because that is what normalfags want quipwest.

I’m gonna see FFH cause I like Spider-Man (though I don’t have much hope it’ll be great) and I’m gonna see black widow cause she’s earned it but I’m probably out after that

None of those are featured prominently in any DC movie except for JL. I love camp and comedy but MCU goes all out on that shit. Phase 1 was perfect

>FFH
I maybe torrent, not sure, the movie looks like shit
>Black Widow
Not for me
>Eternals
Not for me
>Strange 2
It could be interesting
>GotG3
I'm really interested in this
>Shang-Chi
the director looks bad and I don't really like Steven Yeun, Shang-Chi should be Andrew Koji to me, but it has Donnie Yen and i really like his movies
>Ant Man
Only If they introduce the FF
>Captain Marvel
No
>Black Panther 2
If they do Namor or Dr Doom
>tv series
I was interested in Scarlet Witch but it will be about Vision instead of Pietro and Magneto so no, i don't care about the others young Loki and Bucky and Falcon, it was rumored a She Hulk series and that could be cool, also Blade
>X Men Deadpool and FF
Sure, at least the next movie

lol

>None of those are featured prominently in any DC movie

I'll stop following the overall plot because fuck Captain Larson but if the Guardian and Dr Strange movies are still good I'll give them a watch

I have never found it hard to drop a series that gets too shitty for my liking, see Star Wars and SU

FFH?

I've seen

>Iron Man 1&2
>Captain America
>The Incredible Hulk
>Avengers 1
>Captain America 2

I stopped after Avengers, because none of the movies blew me away. They were all fine (except maybe Iron Man 2) and I enjoyed myself, but these weren't anything to write home about, especially after all the hype.

I only checked out Winter Soldier because everyone assured me I'd love it and it was really different and good. Overall, the Captain America movies were my favourite ones, but still not amazing.

I have nothing against the MCU. I think the idea of what they are doing is cool, and even if they aren't great Dark Knight-level flicks, at least they are competently crafted, which is more than one can say about Snyder's attempt at a movie universe, or the Amazing Spider-Man films, or Fox's attempts at the Fantastic Four, or Green Lantern, or… I really appreciate think the reason the MCU stands out is because the bar is so low. Fun but formulaic popcorn films are better than most shit we've been given.

But honestly, they are so studio-driven that I don't see them producing anything with the singular, unique vision m of Raimi's Spider-Man, or Nolan's or Burton's Batmans. Hell, Ang Lee's Hulk wasn't very good, but at least he made an attempt to make actual stylistic choices and do an early interesting interpretation of the character. Because of how corporate the MCU movies are, they may be good, because they have competent filmmakers on them who know what they're doing, but they will never be great.

I haven't watched anything MCU since before homecoming save for Infinite War and that was only because of family. MCU can get fucked.

I jumped off before infinity war, thought civil war was tradh and i didnt want to see anything else by the russos

>But honestly, they are so studio-driven that I don't see them producing anything with the singular, unique vision m of Raimi's Spider-Man, or Nolan's or Burton's Batmans
Fucking this. Same with Pirates of the Caribbean movies, first one actually felt like someone directed it and some kinda vision in it and not just bunch of suits making the movie to reach widest audience.

Yes, I'm not gonna watch FFH or anything post Endgame.

I quit after Age of Ultron.

Yeah, FFH looks underwhelming. I mean we all know its just going to be Peter mourning Tony and then Mysterio betrays him.

I quit the MCU back in 2014. I pirate a few films like Thor 3 or Infinity War but get bored an hour in.

Attached: 5E485C07-A31D-4EA4-8D57-9CF1970A99A4.jpg (720x350, 36K)

WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2 are the only things that pique my interest.

Fury and Carol?

I think they shut down their production facilities.

So who's going to be the next big MCU bad guy now that thanos is gone? Galactus?

I quit after Guardians 2. Shocking, I can go in life without watching corporate capeshit. Only seen the threads on Yea Forums/.

Not quitting the MCU entirely, but I am definitely cutting back compared to earlier phases. Only still in for GotG, Strange, BP, and Ant-Man until the F4 and X-Men come in. Huge kek at the implication that FFH and Iron Boy are even worth thinking about though.

Attached: 🚫🧢.jpg (750x698, 49K)

I'm not even gonna bother with this Iron Boy bullshit. That part in Endgame when Peter basically goes "Spidersuit! KILL" was the last straw. This is just not Spider Man for me.

this and guardians 3, couldn't care less about the others

Speed Racer was a better adaptation than any of the Marvel movies.

The only superhero flick I've seen since Civil War was Shazam, suck my dick.

I'll go see GotG3 for Boomer Thor and Beta Ray Bill. Other than that it really is over for me.

I've literally seen every single MCU film but the entire next phase G3 is the only thing I want to see and with Cap and Tony dead and the big diversity push on Avengers I don't even care about Avengers anymore.

Was a fun ride anyway.

Captain America is retired
Ironman is _dead_
Captain Marvel is an awful draw, and so there is literally nothing left to hold my interests anymore. This is an objective fact.

Final fantasy heroes?

There is literally nothing else on theaters on those dates :/

I would had watched anything but Captain Marvel but March had no other movies playing. I would had watched John Wick instead. At least I did not pay for the tickets.

Capes in general are approaching a territory in which people might watch it but they don't honestly care, merchandise will not make same amount of money it did back then like in the case of starwars.

I want to watch GOG3 now that James Gunn is back and because it is the last one, I don't honestly care about the rest except for the Sony movies because they are actually making good Spider-Man movies again.

The only capes I know I won't be watching is anything related to CW after Flash ends because CW shows have sucked real bad, there is too much lgbt pandering and the writers are terribad.

The Marvel tv shows are fucking bad. Runaways it the biggest disappointment I have gotten out of everything related to cape movies and tv shows.

This

The most charismatic leads in the overall plot are gone and replaced with bland to hideous new characters. There are still appealing characters in the universe but they are more side stories that you could watch without giving a shit about Avengers 6 or 7

>Black Panther 2
>If they do Namor or Dr Doom

You know they will adapt Secret Empire with tChalla replacing Steve as the protag as Marvel want to win an oscar that matters.

You know they will make the bad guys a thinly veiled Trump/alt right stereotypes who want burn down the outreach center while gleefully killing minorities with the Americops with obvious BLM and American History X references

And it will win that Oscar and make Marvel make bolder political movies

I am not. I have interest in the MCU now that Cap is gone.

Attached: 91809466-6F27-43C9-986D-1AC6A7FFD18C.gif (400x500, 1.79M)

Seeing as the MCU is run by comic fanboys, I thought their take on Spider-Man would be a faithful return to what makes the character great after Sony's run of abysmal movies. But I have never been less interested in or enthusiastic about Spider-Man films than I am now.

I know the entire marketing draw of this version of Spider-Man is "he's finally home in the Marvel universe!", but Sony is so eager to cash in on the connection to successful superhero films and getting to have RDJ cameo, and Marvel Studios cares so much about this being a shared universe first and foremost, that they've forgotten that you can have a narrative take place in a shared universe without making the plot literally revolve around Iron Man, SHIELD, and the events of some other Avengers movies. It's to the point where they don't even feel like Spider-Man films anymore. Then there's the fact that they are so self-conscious about retreading anything from the previous movies that they feel like they can't use anything that was already used before, including a lot of characters integral to his world. Like, I get it'd be lame to do Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin for the third time in 15 years, but that doesn't mean that everything interesting about the character should be off-limits.

How much money are political parties pouring into Marvel?
None of their current works felt meant to be enjoyed, they feel like they are there to make noise and they simply don't care about wherever it sells or not, leading me to the idea that someone is backing then up.

For example, manga still feels like a media format that still panders to an active audience of customers.

I think dementia creeping on you, amigo.

yeah, I'll probably see Guardians 3, but I didn't like most of the Phase 3 movies other than Guardians and Ragnarok so I feel no real need or desire to continue.

>Black Widow kinda interests me
Sexually yes, as a character no.

That too but comics do feel very preachy.
I mean Iceman and many X-Men books.

itt middle aged cartoonfags circlejerk about how they don't care about comic stuff

nigga I'll never see another Marvel movie again

half my fucking friends and family have said the same thing

as far as the general public is concerned "the Marvel Cinematic Universe" isn't a "franchise" it's a STORY, and that story started with Iron Man and ENDED with Endgame

Agreed. I was hoping Homecoming would really focus on street level stuff and the NYC identity, keep things a little more calm since Pete is young and we get tons of apocalyptic shit in other MCU films anyways. Instead we got a high school comedy which intends to have a more street focused narrative but still has Pete going all over the place, dealing with Iron Man/Avengers shit, etc. It sucks because the villain concept worked perfectly with what I wanted but the actual execution felt like a formulaic action film.

>as far as the general public is concerned "the Marvel Cinematic Universe" isn't a "franchise" it's a STORY, and that story started with Iron Man and ENDED with Endgame

Lol no. This proven by the success of Black Panther, CM, Spider-Man, etc.. They'll latch onto most newcomers and continue watching their movies. Fuck, did you miss all the Wong memes?

>You know they will adapt Secret Empire
I'm not interested in that, if all the other movies are really really shit or if some of the cast die they maybe get one, like Ledger. Capeshit is usually despised by the industry

The roster of heroes based on the phase 3 movies isn't particularly impressive
>Doctor Strange
The first movie felt like Iron-Man lite and I don't feel any real drive to see a sequel.
>Guardians 3
Only Phase 4 movie I have any significant desire to see
>Spider-man
Homecoming was ass, even if the Vulture was a good villain. I have no desire to see more of white Miles Morales when I can see a better Peter and the real Miles in Spiderverse 2
>Thor
He's in Guardians now
>Black Panther
The first movie was a snorefest.
>Ant-Man and the Wasp
If they got a new director I might see the the third movie, because I really like Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, but that second movie was dogshit.
>Captain Marvel
lol

Apart from Infinity War and Endgame I hadn't seen an MCU movie since Doctor Strange. I have no interest in the MCU now. The story is done

Endgame is the perfect place to stop.

I dropped it after Age of Ultron, apart from the two GotG movies. I saw Infinity War, absoultely loved it, got caught up and absoultely hated everything. Ant Man and the Wasp + Captain Marvel came out and I just told myself that Endgame is a good enough ending for something that doesn't really matter for me

I quit the MCU before endgame.

Faggot.

>>Shang-Chi
>the director looks bad and I don't really like Steven Yeun.
Please don't tell me they're getting that bland actor as Shang-Chi. Andrew Koji would be way fucking better, I agree.

Only sticking for GotG vol. 3 and maybe Nova depending how that starts turning out.

I have no interest in the rest.

This

I hated homecoming

I haven't seen a Marvel movie since Hulk. Not hard to stop when I never started.

user, i like the comics not the movie versions of them.

Okay, that's enough samefagging from me. I'm bored.

why? The first Strange movie wasn't that good and there are tons of Marvel characters left to adapt

>I'm pretty tired of capeshit in general.

why? They are diversifying into other genres

>wannabes coming up

adapting lesser known characters =/= wannabes

at least Doom will look good

>and more "none of the stuff we know about interests me."

let me guess, because you're a casual faggot who never heard of Shang-Chi or the Eternals prior?

Yeah, It's not right without Ms. Peel.

>and I don't really like Steven Yeun, Shang-Chi should be Andrew Koji to me, but it has Donnie Yen and i really like his movies

no one has even been cast yet, retard

>Implying I wouldn't just pirate
They keep pushing their agenda and they're not even being subtle about it. I'm not even going to FFH even though I liked the 3rd act of Homecoming because of Zendaya's insufferable SJW character.

>Aladdin was a good movie

Honestly, there's not much to look forward to these days...

>You know they will make the bad guys a thinly veiled Trump/alt right stereotypes who want burn down the outreach center while gleefully killing minorities with the Americops with obvious BLM and American History X references

why? That has nothing to do with Africa?

Attached: CCCEEEEEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEE.jpg (326x322, 20K)

I think Eternals is going to be the first one I don't bother with. I'll definitely see Doctor Strange 2, and Guardians 3. Beyond that, I can't guarantee anything.

Endgame was an actual closure to a lot of characters and actually felt like a true end to the whole MCU, they defeated the biggest bad of the universe, they went overboard with fanservice like for example Tony and Pepper fighting together and the survivors and revived managed to recover their lives and have happy endings in general or at least were able to move on. Doesn't matter what new bad they decide to pull out for a new saga, it won't have the same impact anymore.

That and this movie had some real tearjerking moments that I can't imagine seeing in the future ever again. Hawkeye and Widow fighting each other to kill themselves before the other in order to get the soul stone was probably the most powerful scene of the whole movie.

Could we see a film adaption of this in the future, or would it veer too closely into religious territory for Disney considering how aggressively they're pursuing the Chinese market? It could serve as a good way to introduce Doctor Doom into the MCU.

Attached: Triumph and Torment.jpg (1821x2800, 449K)

>The first Strange movie wasn't that good
I disagree, purely objectively it's an above average MCU film and for a Strange fan its just great. I'm completely on board for more of magic Marvel and Cumberbatch as Strange.

>there are tons of Marvel characters left to adapt
True, but I'm not interested in an MCU where Captain Marvel is the lead. I've never been a Carol Danvers fan, and Larson didn't do anything to change my mind. Now, if they had gone with Wanda as the new head of the MCU I would have been completely on board with additional MCU movies.

Joke's on you, I stopped watching MCU ages ago.

I don't watch garbage though, so I never watched this crap.

It's pretty much over, bit why 'quit'? It's not a job or a commitment. It's entertainment. I'll watch Spider-man, Doctor Strange, and my mom likes the Guardian's so I'll be taking her to see those. There isn't anyone else on the roster I really care about. It all comes to Netflix eventually anyway.

My interest on the whole might come back when they introduce Wolverine, Magneto, and especially Doom into the setting.

Attached: 1558078550875.gif (500x486, 1.88M)

I still havn't watch any of the MCU films.

Should I? Is it worth it?

I haven't watched a single MCU flick since Iron Man 3.

I've technical.ly quit a while ago. The last time I consistently watched an MCU film to hype up the next one was Age of Ultron, which was the movie that made me get tired of the whole thing.

After that I've seen GotG 2 and Thor 3 out of my own volition and Endgame just to hang with friends (and was honestly pretty good not gonna lie). I didn't bother with anything else, including Infinity War cause I didn't care too.

Just cause you give up on caring about the "Cinematic Universe" doesn't mean you can't watch a couple of these films because they interest you as standalones.

Attached: shrug.gif (300x300, 1.49M)

People hate on them for being average popcorn films but aside for a couple of duds they have all been consistently well made.

I haven't either.

>It's not a job or a commitment.
People take brand loyalty too seriously

They're like battered housewives at this point. They hate it and keep saying they'll never go back, but they always do. Whether it be because they lose a part of themselves without an enemy to rail against or because mousedick fits inside their asses too well, they'll always be back.

I ignored every episode Game of Thrones and all live action Disney remakes. My life is busy enough that I can find something else to replace the MCU in my life especially since many of the new heroes like Captain Marvel and the Inhumans were garbage anyway.

>watch a ton of movies every year
>like capeshit in general
>no matter how bad, I'll always want to check out a new Spider-man movie
>curious how they're going to handle my boy Incredible Herc
>X-men joining the MCU eventually is very intriguing
Yeah, I'm definitely not done. That said, I didn't really want to see Captain Marvel and got dragged by friends. I'll probably avoid her movies.

Attached: Cool Story Bro.jpg (571x570, 54K)

>They will never make a Hercules film since they essentially made Thor take his personality

Attached: hurts a little.jpg (600x715, 35K)

>saw endgame but not infinity war
Genuinely retarded.

Because it relates to how TChalla at end of the movie wanted to open up to the world and change the cultural stereotyping of Africans as anything but impoverished, warlike and easy maellable by foreigners looking to start a resource war. Wakanda does not have a true military to fight war beyond the wardogs and their armies in Infinity war which will crumble against a fully equipped hydra with NBC WMDs, spent their life improving their science and culture and is essentially a culture blackbox for any african looking to expand on their cultural pride and education.

That shit wont fly with Hydra and their stooges who want the Vibranium and any effort to raise minorities against their cultural stereotypes stopped by perpetuating cycles of violence.

Now imagine if Killmonger is not just right in one aspect but everything his father told him and he was exposed to was because of Hydra fuckery. That Killmonger was only spared from being at the receiving end of a CRASH funded attack on Black Neighbourhoods was because Hydra saw him as a useful pawn in justifying why the world needs to give them their resources and support so they can ivade Wakanda and take the Vibranium and share it among the UN security council to build more weapons.

I am interested in post Ragnarok-IF-Endgame Doctor Strange, and also Mysterio
if there is an 'Ant-Man and Wasp train Cassie to use pym particles' movie i'll watch that
especially if hank likes cassie, sure it plays into the 'sjw pandering' meme but it'd be hank memeing on scott which I enjoy
I'm interested in the Disney online shows, at least enough to try them out. I want more wanda, I want more of bucky and falcon being forced to work together.
Oh and GotG3, but ultimately I see Far From Home and that as the epilogues of phase 3.

>Implying Disney is not going to kill to two birds with one stone and remake the animated Hercules film but setting it in the MCU with a Thor cameo.

Read the post dipshit. I only went because my all my friends wanted to hang.

I literally didn't care beyond having a good time with my bros.

Still pretty retarded my man. Like you had no idea you were gonna see it till you walked into the theater? Shit it's been on netflix for like 10 months now.

>It was last minute
>I literally couldn't be asked even if it was planned ahead of time
Nigger, what part of "I don't care about the Cinematic Universe" do you not comprehend? It was a fun popcorn flick that's it.

>fun popcorn flick
Aaaaaand opinion ignored.

You shouldn't be so obsessed about what other do with their leisure time.

Normie trash

How long before the movies die and I can have my hobby back? They can't be popular forever.

At least 10 years

I really wasn't trying to change anyone's mind on anything or discuss the quality of the films, so I'm not sure what "opinion" your ignoring but alright.

Attached: I'm not black I'm OJ.jpg (355x351, 22K)

Fuck. You think so? Even without RDJ?

Even if the MCU dies capecomics will continue to be shit and will primarily be seen in television, film, video-games and really any other medium that is actually profitable.

I've been done for a while now. I skipped Antman 2 and Captain Marvel so I've been done for a while.

The MCU has been going on for 11 years, people have grown up with it

>I would had watched anything but Captain Marvel but March had no other movies playing.
Liar. You picked up a dank meme on Yea Forums that only came about because your local cinema hadn't bothered to update their playlist and didn't bother to check on the actual day.
Protip: most cinemas won't have their staff standing around holding their dicks for the 5-7 hours that only showing Captain Marvel would leave them with. Even if it's The Space Between Us or Alvin & the Chipmunks III there will be *something* else showing.

Lol no such thing user

Attached: 1556724363127s.jpg (125x84, 2K)

I'm rather bored with the type of movies Marvel does. I watched endgame but it wasn't a big deal and I have also skipped quite a few Marvel movies, so I don't really care to continue.

Is just apathy for me at this point.

Attached: 1545854931049.jpg (831x639, 128K)

I'm going to just wait for all the episodes to come out and then binge watch it, just like what I did with Breaking Bad.

>Yea Forums never shutting up about what they hate
Oh my, they'd never

Which was the last superhero movie you really enjoyed Yea Forums? Mine was Logan.

Attached: 1440614061_yado_full15.jpg (158x159, 14K)

I'm not going to see that in theaters, I can say that much.

I'll watch the movies.
Probably not in theaters or at a fast timeline like I did with endgame. Nothing really is hyping me up right now.

I guess I'll have to stick around and see if F4 can finally get a good movie.

Avengers Endgame

>DC

You need to go back.

I pick DC because it's kino

imagine being this triggered over people knowing your 'muh superhero' movie series is unironically shit and was written like a cats vomit in the dead of winter. its like they werent even trying when they directed this entire mcu thing. it went completely down hill after winter soldier and that movie wasn't even that good. infinity war didn't even need to be 2 parts, they literally just banked on everyone that saw it. never giving these shills my money again. then again i pirated end game so whatevs.

Tony is dead
BW is dead, and she was aging and not hot anymore
MJ is a 5/10 and a bitchy feminist cunt
Thor and Hulk are balless cuck faggots.
Even threw BP under the bus in favor of fucking ANTMAN for fucks sake.
Oh and Captain America is an asshole and doesn't even have any "he fought undercover" hints. Didn't even do the thing where his grandson is a bad ass normie who goes to spidermans school.
Captain Marvel single handedly ruined the entire fucking MCU and is being pushed as the IT girl.
MCU is now faggy grass eating pussbois and tuff pansexual man hating cunts with rey from star wars tier mary sue status and terrible story.

It's all fucked.

>Even threw BP under the bus in favor of fucking ANTMAN for fucks sake.
That sounds good

i'm only gonna quit when Thor dies with Hyperion against the Beyonders.

MCU was crap. Finally done with that shit

I unironically never gone to see an MCU movie in theaters or any capeshit for that matter. I have my ways to see them free

>Eternals
*yawn*

they should have done an actual Inhumans movie instead, would tie into the GotG better methinks

Attached: Lockjaw_Vol_1_1_Textless.jpg (938x1400, 325K)

Why would you waste you time with the inferior brand?

Well I'm not really looking forward to phase 4 because it seems like a bunch of C-list stuff only planned because they hadn't got the Fox stuff yet.

a proper old style inhumans movie maybe, but marvel would have just tried to use them for their whole 'mcu replacement for mutants' plan even though the core concept of inhumans completely conflicts with the core concept of mutants.

The god awful inhumans stuff in Agents of Shield was bad enough when they tried to used old xmen tropes and storylines for them leading to stupid shit like a person that literally calls herself a "inhuman" saying "hey, we're still humans even if we have powers! Please don't hate us"

FANTASTIC FOUUUUUUUUURRRRRR

Attached: oh snap.jpg (480x360, 10K)

In other words you only watched the earliest movies that played it safe and everyone agrees don't hold up today other than the first Iron Man. The movies that were overseen by a story committee, before they ditched that and actually started making good movies with their own identities.

So you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. None of the dozen or so most recent MCU movies are anything like those old ones. Movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor Ragnarok have far more soul and auteur vision than the old Spiderman and Batman films outside of TDK.

>They are diversifying into other genres
user, capeshit isn't like western where you can make it into more than just what it originally is. There will never be The good, the bad and the ugly or Unforgiven in capeshit movies.

>want a captain america sequel to a captain america movie
>get a mini avengers movie
it was boring bullshit and an unworthy followup to the winter soldier

>Alvin & the Chipmunks III
>he doesnt know

>they have all been consistently well made
That doesn't mean you have to like them. If i want to watch good action movie i just watch old Arnold movies.

>doesn't mean you can't watch a couple of these films because they interest you as standalones
But even those don't interest me because they just feel like too much of a studio driven kinda movies. They don't have same kinda charm as Raimi's Spider man or Tim Burton's Batman.

Attached: 1397272068776.png (441x389, 423K)

>Hex? What's that?

user, that is what it is and will never be more than that. It ain't fucking The Godfather.

First Iron Man.

Well maybe I'll pirate the movies when I have fuck all to watch, but for sure I'm done giving them money, and for years now I've only paid tickets for the main Avengers movies.
But Endgame was a satisfying ending, anything after that honestly feels superficial.

Attached: ADVERSATIVE CLAUSE.jpg (960x384, 266K)

>not bailing after the shit show that was guardians 2

I'd watch a movie bout dat squirrel girl. Have a fetish for buck teeth.

Aquaman. Shame to me and my famiry.

Attached: Sony-Bosses-Shame-PSN-600x370.jpg (600x370, 30K)

Aquaman was a perfectly enjoyable movie and if it was made by Marvel it would have got a lot more praise from most viewers.

Exactly. The film is stupid as hell, but near the middle of it I noticed that there is an idiotic smile on my face and I really enjoy the movie.

I've only been seeing MCU movies when people I know invite me to them since early in phase 2. I think the only one I went to of my own accord was Homecoming, and I'm not interested in FFH enough to have even watched a trailer. I've started turning down going to see the movies recently cause they're just too exhaustingly 'big' constantly. I prefer serial character stuff, if I'm gonna be into supers at all. Comics do that better than movies do IMO.

How could you?! Civil war was a masterfully executed political thriller filled with nuanced social commentary!!

I'm watching FFH because I'm one of those beaten housewife Spiderfags and I'm genuinely curious about the direction they want to take post-Endgame. Past that, I'm honestly hyped for GotG vol. 3 and Doctor Strange 2, because they're sequels to the only MCU movies I like as actual films, regardless of my appreciation for the genre and they retained the same creative teams.

Black Panther 2 could be interesting if they let Coogler do his thing, instead of slaving him to the Marvel formula and so would Captain Marvel 2 if they find different directors (the Wachowskis would unironically be a great choice - I'd love to see them tackle the Cosmic Marvel with their style and they could, and already have with their previous work, do some interesting stuff with the themes the first movie merely grazed upon). The Eternals are an unknown quantity at this point - I do have a certain idea of what I'd like to see, but I can't imagine Marvel ever trying to tackle a heavier material, more epic in the classical sense, after they backpedaled on Thor so hard. Shang-Chi and Black Widow I give absolutely no fucks about.

The FF is something I'm on board with, because it's such a vital component of the Marvel universe and such a rich source that however it'll be execute, it'll still be a landmark movie for the series. The X-Men on the other hand I'm not sure about. I can tell they're gonna go in the more teenage soap opera-ish direction to stand apart from the FoX-Men and their endless Xavier/Magneto social commentary, but it already screams Homecoming in the "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" sense.

One way or another, we sure aren't getting another Logan or Into the Spider-Verse out of any of these and that's just sad.

I'm just going to stick to the individual movies if I don't get sick of them. I'm only looking forward to sequels for Doctor Strange and Black Panther. I'm curious about the Disney+ series like Loki and the one with Bucky and Sam though but when I was interested in Agent Carter I was still too lazy to watch it and now it's canceled.

>The X-Men on the other hand I'm not sure about.
Same, for me it's because of how Wanda and Pietro were handled. They made great efforts to make them not mutants and their father isn't Magneto anymore, they had to kill off Pietro in the most stupid way possible just because of FOX so I'd find it too jarring if suddenly we have mutants who show up and we find out only after Infinity War and Endgame when half of the universe disappeared. They'll make us think they couldn't do anything to help or whatever.

Maybe if me and my friends decide to binge visit the local theater. Otherwise nah. Marvel always had hits or misses, but starting with plank, it's all downhill.

I'm quitting, I'm not interested in Spider-man, I didn't even like homecoming.
Everyone around me keeps saying "Spider-man far from home is the last part of Phase 3! You gotta watch it to complete the story arc." but I know that's just bullshit so people wouldn't quit after Endgame.

We need something new to overshadow the existence of Captain Marvel. So they don't need to make(bleed) a Captain Marvel 2.

>What?! Thinking of not shoveling down our shit and asking for seconds?!
I'm not touching anything Disney with a 10ft pole and there's nothing you or your marketing budget can do about it

Attached: beware his song about big butts, he streams that movie while he plays it.gif (491x704, 3.22M)

The first phase of MCU movies came out at a good time for me and I kept up largely because of how attached I was to Iron Man and Captain America at that point. I was already pretty tired of following the MCU by the time Antman 2 and Captain Marvel came out. With Endgame closing it out and Tony/Steve out of the picture I'm pretty confident I can just watch the ones that catch my eye as standalones and leave it at that. It's basically how I've been treating MCU movies since the beginning of Phase 3. I'll watch FFH because Spiderman has been a longtime favorite and I love Tom Holland though.

>but marvel would have just tried to use them for their whole 'mcu replacement for mutants' plan

that was Perlmutter's plan, not Fiege's.

>because it seems like a bunch of C-list stuff

imagine hating characters because they are obscure or lesser known

Honestly it's the teens who are the most obnoxious about it

You mean manchildren.

>no one has even been cast yet,
They have the director and he is a a really bad pick only because he's happa and had worked with Larson, all the others are rumored only

It’s a great jumping off point

I haven't seen a superhero movie since GOTG 1. That stuff just doesn't really interest me anymore and frankly now that ticket prices have gone insane in my country I barely watch movies.

Yes. I didn't see Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp or Captain Marvel. Endgame was enough of a conclusion for me to let go and Spider-Man just isn't grabbing me. I won't swear off cape movies completely, but I've grown past seeing every Marvel movie out of some completionist desire.

Not true, I can still call you gay.

Why would i watch the sequel to the worst spider-man movie?

just give me fantastic 4 and silver surfer/galactus, i dont give a fuck about spiderman or the xmen or anything.

Attached: based benelli.png (833x469, 285K)

>user acts like he knows film history
Grow the fuck up asshole. Ever heard of Dark Knight? Logan? The Crow? Guardians of the Galaxy? Listen here mother fucker, acting like an entire genre of film is bad is some stupid shit

Attached: get a load of this guy.jpg (496x496, 134K)

I haven't seen Endgame, so yeah, whatever.

X-Men has had most of their famous story-lines adapted already. They need to do something different, like have a Harry Potter style of movies, following New Mutants as the X-Men act as teachers.

But the Fantastic Four have some of the best villains in all of comics. Adding them fixes one of the MCU's biggest problems, boring villains.

yeah. im just not interested anymore in the MCU

None of those movies are same level quality as ones i mentioned.
Also i didn't say they that i know film history, i just said i think people who compare western movies to capeshit are idiots.

None of those sound interesting

I'm quitting after GOTG3, and will return if Gunn is making another movie

>so people wouldn't quit after Endgame
I have a news flash for you and the rest of the Assburgers consoling each other's contrarian bullshit.'
"People" by which I mean the vast bulk of humanity who socialize outside of a sad satire board, get enjoyment out of the MCU (and the superhero genre in general, if it doesn't stray too far from what they expect from the genre).
It's not impossible that the studio could throw out enough underwhelming movies, say 3-4 Thor 2's in a row, that interest cools. But films like Homecoming and Captain Marvel are well-regarded. Audiences are interested in what the follow-up to the Infinity War and Endgame are.

People would have also stuck with the DCEU, had WB not allowed it to be populated with shitty, annoying characters. It had all the flash and action of the MCU but it was filled with character interpretations that at best were tolerable.
I guess what I am getting at is that while you will stay in your little dark corner and hiss at what the "normies" are paying money for, you ought to realize that you are all the "abnormals", and you have no way to predict the future success of the MCU. Nor as Captain Marvel demonstrated, any means of influencing that future.
You'll just keep lurking these threads like Cretin Club. What a bunch of sad fucks.

Attached: 300guy.jpg (300x300, 20K)

>I like less popular Shit, but let me have a laugh at the idea of liking Popular Shit, am I cool yet?

>you ought to realize that you are all the "abnormals"
I know that already but why act like you have too see these movies even if you don't enjoyment out of them? What is wrong with liking non-blockbuster movies?

This but Ultron

Attached: 5e2.jpg (554x439, 38K)

Why are you defending those movies especially fucking disney's remakes of classic animated movies?

I only watch movies that look like they fit my interests. I make no blanket "I will stop watching this kind of movie"
I have zero intention of watching anything with captain marvel in it, but I have nothing against other marvel heroes.

I'll probably stick around for some movies, but I was mostly sticking around for based Iron Chad, and now that he's gone, I really don't have much left to stay invested in (unless they bring in another Stark from the Multiverse or something.)

Attached: ismark4516d-z.jpg (700x700, 43K)

And that's why you keep getting generic shit. Amazing how little effort Disney needs to put in knowing people will go see anything with the bright and shiny MARVEL STUDIOS logo on it.

James Gunn had a trash record before too

let's wait and see

There'll still be iron armors I'm sure, which is what I'll stay for. Tony's story has been done since IM3 anyway.

What are you talking about? Homecoming was probably the first truly street-level Marvel movie, other Spider-man films included. Everything about it was surprisingly grounded for a Spidey film. The fact that the plot revolved around circumstances caused by Stark doesn't really change anything but the context.

I like non-blockbusters. I like certain blockbusters. I enjoy the genre of Superheros in comic, animated and live-action.
I'm not "forced to watch them, the studios try to interest me enough that I don't buy/rent them to watch on my home theater. MCU has had the most success, as their box office shows.
Wives and girlfriends drug a lot of people (including me) to see Beauty and the Beast. The wife had good things to say about it, It didn't do anything for me. (I have to admit the animated version wasn't my thing either). I no more give a fuck about the live action remakes than I did about the direct-to-dvd movies, I'm not the intended audience for either. I also don't waste my time pointlessly bitching about them.
I enjoyed Lion King. I did not watch the tv spin-off, I didn't see the theatrical production, I likely won't go see the CGI remake. I also don't care that it exists. Directors going back and editing or changing their classics bothers me (when It makes it hard to get original versions). Remakes just don't bother me.

>And that's why you keep getting generic shit. Amazing how little effort Disney needs to put in
Disney puts a terrific amount of care into Superhero movies compared to their competition, and it shows. Sony and WB churned out poorly written, weakly acted schlock and threw it to the CGI Monkeys to polish up.
Fox was releasing pure, undiluted garbage solely to maintain rights to properties.

>I'm not "forced to watch them, the studios try to interest me enough that I don't buy/rent them to watch on my home theater
Well i am not forced either but it gets annoying when people look like that you killed person if you say haven't see latest marvel movie.

>Disney puts a terrific amount of care into Superhero movies compared to their competition
That really doesn't say a lot. And why does every fucking person who dares to even criticize any of these movies always get shitted on? Why do i must like these movies?

>And why does every fucking person who dares to even criticize any of these movies always get shitted on?
What you are asking is, "why when fandoms congregate online to discuss their stuff, do they get upset when I duck in to point out that "it's shit" and proclaim that "I would never watch that" like I have superior taste"?
That's the question you are asking, and I think you could puzzle out the answer on your own if you thought about it.
"People like me" shrug when you say you don't watch them. We really don't care. You get looks when you start getting loud, obnoxious or insulting about it. Or when you interject into 50 different threads proclaiming your dislike/disinterest. We get it. Now fuck off to discuss whatever shit YOU like.

No one's honestly stupid enough to believe that, right?

Attached: D7QBj9XXsAAmu3O.jpg (2000x2000, 518K)

I'm pretty sure I'll ever spend money on another Marvel movie again in my life. I might pirate some of them though.

The reality is that Godzilla is going to be just as stupidly written as Bayformers, but that will get ignored over Yea Forums's Kaiju-boner, assuming they don't spend too much time focusing on the humans.
It will do reasonably well, but suffer because females will not willing subject themselves into Giant Monster Fight Night.

>"People like me" shrug when you say you don't watch them
Well not in my job that is for sure. Also i don't do any of shouting or insulting.
>why when fandoms congregate online to discuss their stuff, do they get upset when I duck in to point out that "it's shit" and proclaim that "I would never watch that" like I have superior taste"
Again i don't do that. I don't go to MCU threads like at all expect this one.
>Now fuck off to discuss whatever shit YOU like
It is hard nowadays, fucking Yea Forums sucks nowadays and can't discuss anything that is not blockbusters. I miss IMDB forums.

Attached: 1422510120194.jpg (620x430, 23K)

>Also i don't do any of shouting or insulting.
I bet you give them the "I can't believe you plebs like this shit" look, followed with something pithy and dismissive about how low-quality the MCU is.
I expect you are just autistic enough to not realize that people find this insulting and aggravating.
>I don't go to MCU threads like at all expect(sp) this one.
Yeah, I don't believe that.

Attached: Affleck Dogma.jpg (415x260, 33K)

>It will do reasonably well
Not with a $200 million dollar budget and people being more interested in the Elton John movie

Christ, they pissed away $200 mil on a Godzilla movie???
Someone was doing serious drugs, there has never been a return on that franchise worth that investment.

It's WB blowing tons money on massive bombs is what they do

Great, now I get to listen to the usual asshats declaring that "$450 million box office is FINE" and somehow not a plop.

Attached: Alita3.jpg (395x488, 42K)

There's simply no way this is true

You just keep hanging on to your denial of subjective reality then.
Fake News, and suchlike.

>I bet you give them the "I can't believe you plebs like this shit" look, followed with something pithy and dismissive about how low-quality the MCU is.
Nope, i hardly talk to my coworkers because we have nothing in common.
>Yeah, I don't believe that.
You can believe that all you want.

>$450 million box office is FINE
Well it used to be fine but nowadays everyone are looking for billion dollars.

Yeah you morons said that last time and look how that worked out

Attached: DviHNEJXQAABOrW.jpg (1200x1200, 141K)

yup, haven't paid for the recent ones. Same for DC.
Don't care for propaganda, don't like what the companies stand for in the ideological warfare so I'm voting with my wallet

Fpbp

If Shazam and Detective Pikachu are any indication it won't even get that much

A lot of the characters introduced over the past eleven years or so were nobodies in the public eye before the MCU got going, so I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to keep things going into another overarching storyline. The biggest problem they're going to have is leads as charismatic as Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor (assuming Thor actually backs out after another couple movies). If they try to lean into Captain Marvel and Black Panther, for instance, I think they're in for a lot of trouble.

That said, since I can't really think of anything like this happening before in the history of movies, it's entirely possible that audiences will just become fatigued now that it's reached a natural "conclusion". But I'm of the opinion that, if the next batch of movies turn out to be solid enough, people will go see them. I mean, the idea that there are no other big plots to do is kind of ridiculous given that they're drawing from Marvel comics.

To be fair, every single army we've ever seen in the MCU except for *maybe* Thanos's main forces would be easy pickings for any modern military. To me, that's got to be the stupidest thing about the universe: They need to make the armies weak enough that characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye don't just get vaporized the microsecond a big battle starts.

>5
It feels like everyone is ignoring its coming existence.

SHAZAM

>anyone gives a shit outside of the original four avengers
They've had a couple of other okay movies but without Thanos theres nothing to look forward to besides mediocre movies written by people mad libbing it at this point

I only pirate these movies at this point because it's been years since they've been any good.

Cringe

...none of those sound interesting.

i liked the first half but the second half was so bad that it was like they weren't even trying.
(i did give black panther a chance but that was pretty bad)
it wasn't that civil war was awful but that its just really dull.

Man you're a prick. People can not like something and be respectful about it. I got weird looks at my old job when I politely said I didn't enjoy Skyrim but saw the appeal.

>X-Men has had most of their famous story-lines adapted already.
I suppose they want to introduce the Sentinels and maybe the BoEM as base for the Mutant movies, maybe not as main plot but as background, they could use all the cosmic side of the mutants but that will go in Captain Marvel and Mojo, Arcade, Savage Land, Sauron etc.. to Deadpool, they'll want the racist allegory, so the first 2 movies, after introduce them as cameo, could be X-Tinction Agenda and God Loves, Man Kills, and end with some crossover against Magneto, from there they can do Mister Sinister, Asteroid M, Stryfe, Legacy Virus, Mutant Massacre, Nimrod, Onslaught, Krakoa etc ... and reboot all with Avengers vs X Men, Age of Apocalypse or House of M, they have lots of story-lines more, they have been the main ip from Marvel after Spider-Man almost 30 years....

Wow, discount Bruce Lee/chink market bait and another Kirby property for them to fuck up. So excited.

I actually thought Black Panther was enjoyable on the first watch. After having to rewatch several time on home video with my nephew a lot of the holes started to show up.

I *might* watch Spiderman, depending on reviews, and I'm definitely watching Guardians 3, but literally nothing else interests me.

And they really should stop. It's been eleven years of this shit, all the good ideas have been done by now.
What's next on the docket? The Eternals? Who the FUCK has ever given a shit about the Eternals?

I mean, you could have said the same thing about Guardians of the Galaxy ten years ago, and look how that turned out. Though, to the Guardians' credit, at least they used the absurd lineup to their advantage, especially with Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The Eternals all kinda blend together in that distinct Kirby style.

Attached: 508.png (400x400, 133K)

>I mean, you could have said the same thing about Guardians of the Galaxy ten years ago
That thought crossed my mind. I think there's a fundamental shift in the zeitgeist between Guardians and Eternals, though. Like, we all actually wanted more Marvel movies when Guardians was announced. "I don't care about the Guardians of the Galaxy" was more of a challenge back then, as opposed to a dismissal. Also, there were six Marvel movies back then, not 24. There was still a lot of ways they could've gone with it. Lots of
>I can't wait to see what ideas they come up with!
And less

>he says while seeing all of them

This. Nobody cares about Marvel anymore, they're seeing diminishing returns with each new movie.

The reaction this post got is more than enough for me to guarantee that Marvelcucks are insecure about their buried cinematic "universe".

>tfw never seen a single marvel movie but watched all of the classic Spider-Man movies, Blade, X-men and DC.

>classic Spider-Man movies
I remember being a kid and thinking they'd never make one in my lifetime.
Now someone looks back on them as classics.
Please Jesus just let it end already.

I dropped it pretty early on. Got dragged to the first Avengers and felt no interest in continuing. Never saw Iron Man 2 or any Spiderman past 3. The whole idea of "you gotta go through all this to get caught up for that" has never appealed to me.

>you gotta go through all this to get caught up for that
The trick is watching Iron Man and thinking "hey this is good, I want more", not thinking you have to be caught up to be hip with the kids.

If Far From Home doesn't have a good hook i'm probably gonna skip watching MCU movies too

What would you consider a good hook?
t. not an intern

Either actually expand on the multiverse or introduce a villain who could actually carry the MCU for the next few years

I really didn't like endgame. It wasn't nearly as good as Infinity War. So, yeah, I can easily say that I'm done with the MCU.
I can't stop anyone from enjoying the movies, but I'm really not interested in the leftovers. Although I can kind of respect Pepper. She fucked so good that she got an Iron Man suit. Suck that she's pretty much sidelined the moment it breaks since she can't build power armor.

The real trick is realizing continuity is a meme that doesn't really matter.

You can't quit what you never started.

What do you think she did to him?

Wanda's best arc involves Chthon, Agatha Harkness, and Chaos Magic, along with Wundagore, New Salem, Whisper Hill. all that supernatural Elder God cosmic horror stuff that ties directly into Doctor Strange, that has absolutely nothing to do with Magneto at all.

Add to that Pietro, who, unlike Wanda, has an interesting dynamic with Mags, is dead.

Dead? Dead is nothing!

Attached: Chthon.jpg (1278x1364, 1.01M)

I quit the MCU after Guardians 2. I'm not into quips unless its Spider-Man

>Either actually expand on the multiverse
there's no need after the merge
> introduce a villain who could actually carry the MCU
I wouldn't want to do Osborn if I were Feige because that could be worse because Sony, they could do Kingpin maybe or introduce Doom in Europe but not gonna happen

Need a new villain? Why not MODOK?

Attached: Modok.jpg (2521x1720, 578K)

Kinda, yeah.
Me and my friends will probably watch Godzilla.
None of them will see Spider-man Far from Home.
Even I don't give a shit about
>Black Widow
>The Eternals
>Dr.Strange 2
>Black Panther 2
>Shang-Chi
I might watch them all on Netflix years after release.
The only one of them we will probably see in theater is
>Guardians of the Galaxy 3
That will likely involve me trying to explain who Adam Warlock is to my friends.

Attached: 1476512993540.png (384x288, 90K)

I can understand not caring about about Nigger Man 2 or Eternals or Black Widow but how can you say no to Doctor Strange 2 or Shang-Chi?

MODOK can't carry a crossover but he is fun and all that, he maybe could work better in X Force

what does "quit the mcu" even mean? They're movies. They're not supposed to be a fucking job

>Doctor Strange 2
Rumored Nightmare, I couldn't care less about that
>Shang-Chi
there's really good asian movies and series about martial arts, it will depend on the cast, the director hasn't done action movies and that's not good.

>I couldn't care less about that
The fact is that I don't understand it.

It was very visually impressive and Patrick Wilson was a great Ocean Master.

no one knew who Iron Man was and WS made people care about Captain America

watch how Shang-Chi's movie makes him well liked.

>for a Strange fan its just great
>Doctor Strange movie without a single spell chanted
>Eye of Agamotto is just another Infinity Stone and not a magic item
>BLACKED Mordo who's not even a Baron
>Gender bender Ancient One
>his cloak of levitation is now a magic Carpet from Aladdin XDDD
I'm not even a Strange fan and these things annoyed the hell out of me.

>discount Bruce Lee

is that a bad thing? We haven't had a martial arts blockbuster in a while.

>BLACKED Mordo who's not even a Baron
>Gender bender Ancient One
Don't pretend you care about either of these.

>they're seeing diminishing returns with each new movie.

all movies outside of Ant-Man are making more and more money

Nice cope, mauscuck. Tell me again about whether you've beaten Avatar yet. Oh that's right, you haven't!

but you're in this thread

Umm, captain marvel gave them their name

What is wrong with Raimi's Spider-man movies? Sure they are corny but that is the point.

die casual

>The trick is watching Iron Man and thinking "hey this is good, I want more"
The problem comes with that though is that none of those movies are even close to anything like Iron Man at least in my opinion.

All the racism

>Hurr durr I never heard of these characters before the movie so who gives a fuck if they look and act completely different amaright?

>no one knew who Iron Man was
Normalfags didn't know who he was but i don't give a shit about them and either should Marvel, it's not like they buy comics.

I'll just watch Guardians 3 and Kino Panther 2, the rest are overrated trash.

They gonna fuck it up either way. Also if i want to watch martial arts movie i have shit load of choices that are actually good.

The only good thing to come out of MCU was Agents of SHIELD, prove me wrong.

>>Eye of Agamotto is just another Infinity Stone and not a magic item
>>Doctor Strange movie without a single spell chanted
Not him but these are the only things that irked me.

I liked gender bent ancient one, mainly because of Swinton. Because let's face it, no one gives a shit about the AO, he's such a boring ass lawful good damsel in the comics. He's basically a plot device and not even a character

I didn't mind Mordo being different either, his motivation being different from "REEEEEEE STRANGEEEE, ALSO I WANT EARTH" isn't a straight up bad change

I like how they adapted Strange's character, so I'm on board

The movie not being a straight up copy is fine with me, given I actually enjoy the movie version of the AO better, and Mordo's niche won't work without a lot of build up which the movie's can't afford

the only superhero movies ive watched in the past decade were gotg1 and incredibles 2 and the latter was pretty disappointing

Let's face it, if AO was played by a different actor and not your favorite meme actress you wouldn't give a shit too. Movie AO wasn't really a very deep character or anything special.
>boring ass lawful good
Then I can assume you think the same thing about Captain America?
>He's basically a plot device and not even a character
True to his first appearance, but later comics explore him further, even going back when he was young.
Idk, I always liked this old Yoda-like mentor thing. It's a classic trope and there's nothing wrong with character being lawful good.
>I didn't mind Mordo being different either
Of course you didn't, you probably spend a lot of time searching for content on blacked.com
>I like how they adapted Strange's character
I can agree, but it just feels so wrong without Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, Seven Rings of Raggadorr, Bolts of Balthakk etc. You just literally can't do Doctor Strange right without this. It's almost like adapting Spider-Man without web shooters.
>Mordo's niche won't work without a lot of build up which the movie's can't afford
Yeah, and yet they can afford stupid ass jokes about wi-fi, Mr. Doctor and Beyonce. I bet you thought this was the funniest shit you ever heard in your entire life.

>Movie AO wasn't really a very deep character or anything special.
More special and deep than in the comics, that was my point. And yes, Tilda does elevate the character, that is literally what actors do
>Then I can assume you think the same thing about Captain America?
No, he is actually a proactive agent. The AO just sits there and goes "ahhh help me strange!" His passiveness is what makes him so fucking boring
>but later comics explore him further, even going back when he was young
You mean the robbie thompson miniseries? That shit made no sense to his previously established character, no matter how much I dislike it. You can argue that it was long ago, but then again it has no bearing on the AO in his actual role as a mentor because none of those contribute to that incarnation, and is basically another character altogether

If Yoda was so fucking useless I would hate him too. The AO barely even guides strange at all beyond his origin, just dumps him in some situation and then turns up in the end and goes "YOU HAVE DONE WELL, BYE". Yoda actually guides luke throughout his trials

I checked out after the first Captain America movie, I only watched Civil War and Infinity War because a bunch of friends were going. I really don't get the appeal of capeshit, the only ones I seem to actually like are the Batman movies up to Dark Knight.

>You just literally can't do Doctor Strange right without this
I actually disagree. There was a long stretch in sorcerer supreme when strange could no longer rely on entities, and thus had no incantations. Incantations are also only a subset of the magic he uses as a whole, and are not even close to a central part of the character as web-shooters. A more apt analogy would be magic as a whole versus the webshooters

>Yeah, and yet they can afford stupid ass jokes about wi-fi, Mr. Doctor and Beyonce.
They were what, 10 minutes at most? Mordo's whole deal in the comics is that his continued autism at his continued failure against strange, becoming close to insanity as he ramps up more and more. You can't do that in 10 minutes, and other movies can be better spent focusing on stuff more interesting villains like Nightmare instead of him. Also, the jokes sucked, but that doesn't take away from my point at all, that the change isn't bad just because it's different. Unless you just want a slavish adaptation, of course

I'm ignoring the frankly juvenile snipes

I only watch superhero movies these days so I'll never quit the MCU anyway.

Just because it's at number 5 on that list doesn't mean it's not going to do insane numbers

You misspelled can

Shazam is better than 85% of the MCU

Based and dcpilled

t.NPC

And made less than every single one of them except for Hulk

>tfw quitpaying for the MCU *before* Endgame

Attached: 1558725851197.jpg (228x221, 8K)

That means you quit shilling for them.

Ragnarok is taikas worst film to date and the gotg series is a zero calorie diet version of Gunn's work

Helen Mirren as Agatha with Tilda Swinton as AO would be awesome, especially if they go with Agatha throwing tons of shade.

>haven’t seen any movie since Civil War
These films are trash. I may catch the third ant man since I skipped Wasp

>implying Slither isn't a cinematic masterpiece

>comics
Lol, nobody cares about that lame medium anymore mate.

>Marvel shouldn't care about the people making them the most successful company on earth

Attached: giphy.gif (500x250, 819K)

Billion+ dollar companies don’t care about people only their money

I didn't watch Homecoming, Mysterio won't make me watch FFH.

I haven’t watched a single marvel movie since guardians 2.

they have 22 movies
how many are people suppose to watch?? They aren't like masterpieces

How many ever they want?

I mean, what else do I have to look forward too?
>Iron Kino is dead
>Cap fucked off to the past to ensure his future self will have incest
>Thor is fat
>Hulk is literally lame now
>Hawkeye got his family back
And that's the hero's im interested in
>Don't care about Captain Brie
>Don't care about pop-culture spider-man
>Don't care about Black Panther and the super advanced backwards land of Super Advanced Monarchy
>Don't care about Dr strange with all the white washing it's done
>Don't care about Chris Pratt or Edgy Groot
I mean, what happens when the restaurant you go for lunch has stopped serving food you want to eat? You fuck off home or to another restaurant.

>didn't even see spiderman 1 until a year after, and it was on an online streaming site
>implying 2 will be any different

>after endgame
>not before
Sad. Literally only like 4 movies of this series were good, I gave up after antman

>They aren't like masterpieces
Apparently some people itt think otherwise.

>It all comes to Netflix eventually anyway
I hate to break it to you, user...

No, I'm quitting the MCU after GotG 3. I have zero interest in anything after that.

Im sure people enjoy them but I doubt anyone actually thinks they are great movies.
I liked fast and furious movies too but at some point...how many do you need?

>Who are you kidding
Capeshit is already the mainstream genre for normalfags, there is nothing stopping it now for at least the next two decades, Super hero comic book fans (if there is any still alive) don't even matter anymore, (if they ever did).

>i'm quitting after GOTG3, that's it
>emm, well, maybe I'm quitting after Thor 4 BUT THAT'S FINAL
>oh well, I guess I'm quitting after this Silver Surfer movie, THAT'S IT
>OH FUCK WELL MAYBE I'LL QUIT AFTER THE NOVA MOVIE OKAY GUYS
>WELL NO I'M QUITTING AFTER THE BIG EVENT MOVIE WITH GALACTUS OKAY FUCK I'M QUITTING NOW
>OH THE X MEN GOT INTRODUCED? WELL I'M QUITTING AFTER THAT MOVIE OKAY I'M DONE NOW FOR REAL

never ever

Based and Clownpilled

>All this MCUdrone seething

Based. I loved it too

>Avengers will only be the second biggest movie ever (Not accounting for inflation)
Yeah I'm thinking people are tired of Capeshit.

>I doubt anyone actually thinks they are great movies
You would be surprised how many plebs we have here.
