"Nobody's watching or talking about our show anymore."

>"Nobody's watching or talking about our show anymore."
>do this

It works.

to be completely fair dishonestly virtue signaling way late into a shows run is also what korra did and it worked. And here its less forced and probably not just an attempt to win fake brownie points.

It's a children's morals show though

Who actually watches Arthur for entertainment past the age of 10 besides the parents sitting with their children?

Works for Overwatch.

>Alabama did nothing wrong

>it's only bad when it's gay shit
I understand marketing goes into making decisions like these, but these shows are marketing driven. Besides, it really wasn't out of nowhere and it made for a good plot.

>why is this kids show telling kids to be nice to people who aren't harming anyone

Arthur did the gay reveal better than most shows because they didn't make a big announcement media circus about their gay episode, they just aired it normally, and the character was already pretty fruity anyway so it's not like it's a stretch. It's Simpsons revealing Smithers was gay all along, whooaa what a surprise

But it is really virtue signaling when they had no commentary whatsoever from the characters or show itself about it being a guy? I'm not trying to go full SJW here but can't gay people merely exist without it being some grand political statement?

>lemme just slip in our wokeness please! we aren't doing much!!!!

They didn't, the number of late term viable infant abortions in the US is almost equal to the murder rate. It's absolutely gross and a negligible amount of cases are actually from rape. Alabama's goal was to get people talking about it again and it worked. I doubt they have any intention of fighting it through the courts.

>it's bad to do because bad!

They aren't doing much and it's as "woke" as having an episode about how some families don't have money to spend on the more expensive movie theater tickets. Some kids have two fathers.

They could have done that by making rape and incest exclusions but they didn't. They fucked up.

You're just mad that children's programs never tell kids to stop bullying gamers and comic fans

Where's the anti-censorship crowd on this?

What did they mean by this?

Censorship is only bad if it censors things I like

I dunno why there's still threads about this. Did anybody really not think Mr. Ratburn was gay?
It's not like they made Buster or some kid who has no idea gay. Guy was always a poof.

>still seething 2 weeks later

149 CHAPTERS

>"Now remember kids, some people like comic and cartoon ladies in spandex showing their booty to the reader and that's okay. What's not okay is expressing negative opinions about that subject matter because it makes them feel like they're being bullied and that forces them to rise up and be sexist and racist."

>rise up
GAMERS

>people who aren't harming anyone
>what is AIDS

Are we still in the 70s?

This
Shows like this have no reason to do publicity stunts, it's literally for tiny little babies to watch during the day, and Arthur has been so consistently popular that there's no reason for it to go off the air

>rats carry plague
>mr. rathburn is a rat
>mr. rathburn is gay
>gays carry the gay plague, AIDS
what did they mean by this?

Honestly, Mr. Ratburn always seemed like a homo.

Even back in 1996.

At least you admit that that's when things started to go downhill, starting with the 60s. Fucking filthy hippies.

Also, his husband is an aardvark. So he has a thing for male aardvarks. That explains why he's been so close to Arthur for all these years.

Apparently Alabama banned it from being aired on television. So they can't watch it, unless it's on the internet.

>the amount of retards that unironically think Ratburn being gay in an irrelevant kids show about morals for literal children is virtue signaling

Kill yourselves.

>show about morals
>teach them to practice sexual immorality
lol wut?

Attached: 2nce5z.jpg (500x545, 85K)

Every generation since the dawn of humanity has complained about degeneracy and the downfall of society, yet we're still here

That's not what's being taught, but rather if your teacher has a gay marriage or if your friend has same sex parents, don't bully them.

>probably not just an attempt to win fake brownie points

You naive faggot

Attached: 1533720989221.jpg (187x333, 32K)

Mr. Ratburn has always been a fruitcake

You just think that to be special.
You see how retarded these cynical accusations are?

>>Who actually watches Arthur for entertainment past the age of 10

It seems to be more popular with certain adults actually... judging by recent discoveries. Why would kids watch Arthur when they can watch a massive amount of more eye-catching content on Youtube?

I like that they finally gave the left a taste of their own rotten medicine, which is still just a small fraction of the censorship the left has inflicted on everyone else.

>censorship is okay when it furthers my agenda
We know, /pol/. We know.

That was always the irony apparent in the "I have to support nazis because they're the ones fighting for free speech" and "you shouldn't say 'you shouldn't say' because that's just as bad as censorship". It was always about a geek hobby culture war.

Yep you're so right pal. The left is absolutely frothing at the mouth right now, that an episode of Arthur wasn't played live. Liberals pwnd.

Attached: 3d6.jpg (680x527, 64K)

The left has been on a censorship rampage so bad that even Japan is no longer safe from them. One episode censored in one state doesn't even qualify as a drop in the ocean by comparison.

Well they are.

EVERY DAY WHEN YOU’RE WALKING DOWN THE STREET

>is also what korra did and it worked.
In what way did it work? Did the show get another season I didn't hear about? If you're referring to the comic book sequel, does anyone really care about that? How are the sales doing?

So, we're not gonna talk about the fact that a week before this aired, there was talk of a gamer episode in Arthur? And the fact that because this was paired with the gay rat wedding episode, we convieniently forgot about it?

Doing things outside of the norm usually does get attention. No one talks about Arthur anymore new episodes wise because there's nothing to talk about.

It’s called incel baiting and it’s very profitable

75% of Gizmodo’s traffic is incel baiting

so if mister ratburn's a weird gay creep, which voice does he use on arthur after school

he's not flaming or spamming, you retarded faggot

What moral is there in this that they havent already said.

NOOOOOOOOOOO THIS CANT BE HAPPENING BROS

Attached: 1557846726155.png (640x736, 474K)

>one angry gamer
Wait, I know that fucker

Did you know that censorship is now based (and redpilled)?

Attached: 1558486902354.png (558x450, 250K)

This, but unironically.

Censorship is only bad when it involves tits from Japan being covered up

I don't want to oppress anyone, but a moderate law like the Russians have against promoting alternative sexualities to children seems reasonable. Do what you want behind closed doors, but leave little kids alone.

I do use my baby as an excuse but I'd be watching it anyways.

You know this is the second time Arthur has been censored like this, right?

>In 2005, PBS chose not to distribute an episode of “Postcards from Buster,” a spinoff following Arthur’s rabbit confidant, which included lesbian mothers. The decision came after Margaret Spellings, then-education secretary under President George W. Bush, raised “strong and very serious concerns” about the episode.
>“Many parents would not want their young children exposed to the life-styles portrayed in this episode,” she wrote to PBS executives. “Congress’ and the Department’s purpose in funding this programming certainly was not to introduce this kind of subject matter to children, particularly through the powerful and intimate medium of television.”

But yeah dude feel free to pretend like this is nothing compared to the "censorship rampage" of things from Japan.

you cant marry your husband

lol actually liking the loosely worded law they use to oppress the population

YES COMRADE!

Well yeah, you can marry your BF though and then he turns into your husband.

>In what way did it work?
In that by making Korra a carper muncher, tumblr fans forgave all the shit post season 1. It will now be remember as that progressive cartoon with a lesbian protagonist rather than that one cartoon that blew up all its chances to be a great sequel to a great show.

that was my point

>unironically acting like Helen Lovejoy

Attached: 1529090864371.png (611x653, 300K)

Did this really work? I mean, nobody liked Mr. Ratburn growing up except weirdo Teacher's Pet types. He embodied every teacher we hated most when we were kids. he was evil, we weren't supposed to like him.

Attached: maxresdefault (1).jpg (1280x720, 68K)

I'm shocked they were able to do what they did in Current year + 3.

>Did this really work?
Considering all the news coverage it got and the fact that Alabama embarrassed itself even further, I'd say it worked.

Did we ever get an explanation? Sakurai seemed fine with talking about female character's underwear so I would be surprised if he was silent on this.

they just made samus more athletic and less "supermodel bimbo" and honestly im all for it
1. its more in character and 2. have you seen those fucking thighs

Were you seriously expecting Sakurai to respond to One Angry Incel?

>I don't want to oppress anyone, but a moderate law like the Russians have
That's a funny way to start a sentence. It's not promoting anything, it's just showing what is. Like if a character was revealed to be poor, you're not promoting poverty, you're just showing something real.

>Do what you want behind closed doors, but leave little kids alone.
...unless it's kids getting heart eyes about straight crushes, right? It's okay to "promote" minors being sexual.

>implying Arthur is about to be cancelled
As far as we know we're still in the early stages of our lord Aardvark's reign
