I guess it's less a point than it is a joke, but Argit is basically a joke character by the time of Omniverse. His character is perpetually an awful person and a con man that keeps getting away with it, and the culmination of that is him turning into a corrupt career politician and suckering the rest of the world into loving him. My point was, none of that changed that he was a horrible person, and he had no sort of heel-face turn, as the OP implied.
