I came across this book at the bookstore today and was intrigued by it as well as surprised that I completely missed it back when it was released last September.
Does anyone else own this book and if so what did you glean from it as well as do you know a torrent or download for it online?
>It's just a theory >There's no evidence to support it
Nigga wat. I thought Batman was a scientist
Caleb Hernandez
So this book is essentially Batman using his friends as guinea pigs again without their knowledge, huh?
Hunter Murphy
I own it. It was interesting - clearly written at the beginning of Rebirth, but reaches back to at least the 90s for details and history. A bit too much of Batman narrating "Maybe this is how a superpower works, but we just don't have the science." Gorgeous book, though.
Xavier Hall
I mean I guess theres no way to know for sure for him without
a. Killing Clark and digging around in his body or
b. Getting Clark to stop saving the world long enough to get somebody like Star Labs or something to run numerous and extensive tests over possibly years.
Anthony Lopez
I wanna see Aquamans insides
Lincoln Lopez
I'm intrigued about Batman's opinion on Plas and Wonder Woman.
Parker Roberts
>superman's eyes are behind his nose That's fucked up
At what point was Cyborg's machine parts retconned to being motherbox tech? Seems like something they added in only recent years as I never heard anything like that being mentioned before.
No, I mean a scientific theory has the weight of mathematical, analytical, empirical, or at least observed evidence. To say that it's just a theory, and that there's no evidence is scientific schlock. Gravity and relativity are theories. It's a nitpick, but too many people think that a theory is just an arbitrary guess
Leo Richardson
This book would be more interesting if it was done about Marvel characters. Imagine all the shit going on with mutants alone
Dylan Carter
Unless you mean someone like Salaak or Killowag, there's no point in bothering with GLs.
Lincoln Davis
Not yet digitally released afaik, so you have to wait for a painful scan OP
Chase Watson
More like Bruce playing Charles Darwin. He's humming an hawing while he scribbles notes instead of poking and prodding.
Angel Parker
Where is his dick?
Noah Rodriguez
I guess if you wear a white coat and have a 'lab' you can CALL yourself a scientist....
Jackson Thomas
It's called 'art'
Kayden Brooks
What's weird is he ised hypothesis correctly on the same page
Bentley Edwards
The entire Superman chapter is Bruce offhandedly saying “fuck I have no idea”
Caleb Richardson
It’s showing how big his eyes “should” be.
Hunter Morales
>Poorfag here Scans pls
Brody Harris
or a link
Nathan Robinson
This is actually pretty cool
Owen Hill
I also own this book, bought it from Amazon It's a pretty fun read. Bruce trying to come up with a logical explanation of superpowers, only to come up with nothing. The little notes are always funny
Brandon Rogers
I need to get it someday. Manning is great, probably has a better grasp of DCs continuity than all of the current DCs editorial take together.
Jayden Kelly
Rent free
Caleb Lewis
Nu52 gave him a power boost so he could join the JL, basically as their transport since the biggest new ability he got was generating boom tubes, and all it cost was his characterization and history with the Titans.
Got it on release. It's a fun book only problem is that it's huge and doesn't fit in my normal comic shelfs, so it's off in another bookcase with my coding books
Evan Sullivan
kek same problem user. I ended up using it as a flat top to put my plastic models
Kevin Lee
I feel like this kind of thing would be great for the X-Men and Inhumans far, far more that semi-magic supergods like Wondy, Supes and other humanoids, it kinda takes away some of the magic surrounding them, unlike Marvel's heroes. Now, seeing how say, Cyborg operates due to his machinery would be interesting, seeing some non human GLs or something like the parademons would be cool or how any of the martians actually are.
