What are those things you can't enjoy for personal reasons?
Personally, I can't stand Lion King. I know it's not a bad movie, but it isn't as deep as people like to believe. Specially, I hate when people says: "It's Hamlet with Lions". Fuck 'em. Hamlet has 9 tragic character lines which fit perfectly with the theme of the play (an old generation corrupting the new one, that's to say, a new generation accepting the corruption of the old one). Lion King is just a good Melodrama.
Early Simpsons It never had "that quality" people say it had, and it feels like people spamming the memes are worse then what Pickle Rick was

Also, I can't enjoy Superman. I love Jerry Seinfeld, but I can't see what's behind his taste about Superman. I just fail at seeing the symbol in Superman... if there's even a symbol. For me, Superman is a literal god that punches hard.
Haven't seen the first season, except for that infamous episode about the nanny. That nanny episode is, for sure, kind of boring.
However, season 2 onwards is great. Season 2 has a special feeling about middle class feelings, worries and hopes. These episodes aren't funny as hell as season 3 onwards, but they definitely had heart (Bart Gets an F, Three Eyes in Every Fish..., Lisa's Substitute)

>Specially, I hate when people says: "It's Hamlet with Lions" That's just a blatant lie Disney made up so they don't have to admit they plagiarized Kimba.
Gavin Hernandez
Star Wars, I just find the whole thing boring, none of the trilogies
Jordan Torres
I could never get into Batman. ANY Batman. He's always edgy, paranoid, and prepared for anything. He eradicates gods but gets pummeled by a random mook.
Nathaniel Brown
I believe Disney doing that, but what makes me really mad about that is that people don't even think about it. I've heard people saying: "Of course the Lion King is great, it's like Hamlet, they couldn't go wrong with Shakespeare" Anyone who can go beyond anecdotes can see that Hamlet and Lion King are pretty different. People just like to keep in mind simpler concepts. "Ah, it's similar to that... ok, now I can stop thinking about that..."

I loathe how Lion King took the mantle of greatest animated film of all time so easily from the masses when Prince of Egypt still exists.

Frozen. The music blows and the plot is a fucking mess. Marshmallow is cool and I like the 'and the reindeer' joke, but the rest is just awful.

Me too. They say that it's based in the One Thousand Face Hero, and of course it is... but they can't see why Star Wars is not a good example of the monomith. Hero's Journey is something you learn from your own experiences. You can write something with that soul only if you already lived it. And, when you write that, it automatically becomes the Hero's Journey structure... from your own heart.
Star Wars was made with the steps in mind. It has an artificial structure of the Hero's Journey. It just doesnt feel as natural as Gilgamesh Story, The Oddysey, the Ramayana, Peer Gynt, or fuckin' Shrek 2. Yes, Shrek 2 is a better example of the Hero's Journey than Star Wars.
Juan Wood
Nolan's approach to the character is pretty kino. It's still kind of simple, but at least is exciting and funny as fuck. However, I agree with your point.
Brandon Fisher
I'm pretty certain nobody calls The Lion King "deep" m8
Exactly. Prince of Egypt is miles deeper than the Lion King. Imagine those people truly amazed by the symbols of the Old Testament and making a movie about that excitment. That's heart and human soul.
Also, you can't say Lion King is the greatest animated movie ever when Fantastic Mr. Fox, Watership Down, The Tale of Princess Kaguya or L'Illusionist exist. I know it's about how much money Disney has, and how that money can change people's minds... but it still makes me mad.

Does OK KO count as popular? I know that there are plenty anons that bash and plenty that like it.
Either way I can't stand it. Visually it's a mess that disregards many of the foundational animation principals just to be whacky and for little payoff. Exaggerated movements and designs can't really be effective because characters are so very rarely on model. The character designs are almost too simplistic and it's a shame because there are some kernels of greatness lying underneath if they'd just add a few more details.
That's not even getting in to the narrative or characterizations which tend to be very ham fisted in execution. There's clear biases for certain characters and the interactions feel so forced and unnatural. Overall I just absolutely hate OK KO and am shocked something of its quality could get more than one season.

>I only like classic MGM and WB cartoons. Based

I know Frozen isn't a very good movie... but for personal and unconscious reasons that I don't fully understand, I fuckin' love it. However, of course I would never recommend it in an artistic aspect. I think I just like musicals, snow, girls like Anna and stole girlfriends (like Anna) from other guys.
Dominic Powell
Fuckin' based.
Dominic Cox
First time I saw that on TV I changed the channel inmediately. It was a natural reaction because of thar uglyness. However, months later, I saw a bunch of episodes because there was anything else on TV. It was certainly still ugly, but it has some ugly charm. It's consistenly a mess, but an intentional mess. I would not recommend it, but I like to watch it as much as like junk food once in a while.
