When one personality takes over, the physical body changes too. They can do this at will or upon mortal injury. Say Marc gets shot in the head, then Stephen gets back up. Stephen then takes a brick to the face, and Jake gets back up. Jake wears the classic MK costume, Marc wears the Ellis run armor-ish suit, and Stephen wears the Mr. Knight get up with the suit and tie.

All three of them did something bad the nights they were killed and Khonshu's deal involves them banding as one to be the Moon Knight, and leaving them to figure out how all three can live their lives.
