Why do you still act like Bill lacking as a threatening villain in the finale is a good enough excuse to shit on an otherwise perfect show? Gravity Falls bit HARD. It paced its overarching narrative with a good mix of episodic and serialized episodes, and it explored the relationships between its main cast in such deep and heartfelt ways that truly affected audiences. The characters have always been the show’s main goal, and Gravity Falls exceeded those expectations by making us feel for these characters and their situations.
A show doesn’t need to be Game of Thrones to be considered good. The team behind Gravity Falls knew its characters and used them well in crafting a story that tested them and helped them grow. Knowing that Matt and Dana played such crucial roles in that show gives us hope that Amphibia and The Owl House will aim to do the same rather than fucking around like Star vs did. You should be bashing THAT show for trying to pretend like it was anything more than glorified teen drama and half-baked lore that couldn’t even follow its own paper-thin rules.

100% fucking THIS. The Hoot Crew has been doing a great job of keeping the hype and momentum up for The Owl House. Dana Terrace, Cat Harman, Matthieu Cousin, Charlie Bryant, and plenty of other crew members have shared doodles of the characters for the past year. They know that Disney won’t allow them to say much, but they still go out of their way to remind us that the show exists and will be coming soon.
I wish more people from Infinity Train and Splittin’ Rent would do the same. It’s mainly been Owen Dennis keeping up the hype all on his own.

I’d prefer more Tara strong then more of some squeaky voiced little shit who can barely read lines well. Best example I can think of to showcase how annoying child VAs can get is summer camp island. Amphibia looks like it'll be fun from the trailers, but I think compared to The Owl House it hasn't gotten as much interest because most of the former's "lore" is buried and hidden away in ruins. What people mainly see in the intro in the preview is just Anne living in the quaint little frog village surrounded by empty wilderness, while with The Owl House Luz seems like she'll be smack dab in the middle of some wild creepy demon city.
The Owl House is a little more unknown since there is no intro or trailers, but Luz (and Eda if you're into hags I guess) has the most appealing design out of all the protags in OP. Unfortunately, since Dana and Cotugno spew obnoxious political opinions on twitter, people they upset like to make up all sorts of crazy rumors that other people act like is true because they want to believe it.
Ronnie Anne is one of my favorite characters from The Loud House, but I'm rather lukewarm on most of her family. However, I like her friendship with Sid and hope the series will mostly be Ronnie Anne and her friends getting into hijinx with the family being more supporting members although a Bobby episode or Carlota episode every once in a while would be good.
I have no interest in Infinity Train.

I doubt Casagrande fandom will be bigger than Loud House's. Even though Casagrade stars a girl, Loud House has a more "waifu-heavy" main cast (Linc's sisters+Mom) that run the range from loli to milf and from super tomboy to super girly. Casagrande waifus aren't as numerous or diverse.

I think the main incident that raised Cotugno to infamy and made her the scourge of /svtfoe/ was that she tried to incite a twitter mob against one of the fanbase's most popular artists for Star/Marco lewds. No doubt the other writers and directors on the show have twitters where they spurg out all day about fucking white males and drumph, but they never attacked fanartists and thus didn't draw attention to themselves.

Having a bad guy named "Tonald Drump" is an exaggeration, but Star Vs fans saw how recent politics had an impact on the quality of the later seasons' writing. Because the depth comes of as jaden smith tier faux philosophical or completely fake, the lore cobbled together by a dozen storyboarders who all have diverging ideas about the plot and not enough professionalism to not spite the others by dropping their plot points when they get the chance, and the world building completely nonsensical and filled with retcons and plot holes.
The thing is, these writers, like most amateur webcomic artists on the internet are only adept in creating uneventful, inconsequential slice of life lolrandom comedies with tiny story arcs or in episodic format, and as soon as they step out of that they get way out of their depth, and the result is for all intents and purposes a bait and switch, and the end result a much more inferior work. This is why, as someone who can enjoy both styles, I much prefer comfy episodic cute slice of life shows those emphasizing on lore and continuity that would almost certainly disappoint me later on.
It only did well with the lore because it's easy to shit on a blank canvas and let the viewers fill in the blanks. But when the time comes to wrap it up they shit the bed instead. A good recent example would be AT

The reason behind this desperation is pretty clear, man. The Infinity Train pilot never really impressed me aside from the mere fact that it was the only pilot (along with Pillywags Mansion) from a RS alum whose staging and art style weren't flat and immediately reminiscent of Regular Show. It was one of the few CN pilots that actually felt fresh.
I'm mainly looking forward to the show because the art style looks kinda cute, it seems like it might have a more epic and sinister feel than most modern CN series, and 'cause Owen Dennis is a pretty cool and hardworking dude. Also, its premise could lead to some interesting alternate dimensions to explore.
