His strength of will is strong, but his imagination and creativity leave something to be desired. The series paints Kamina as the wild and creative one, whereas Simon is the serious and diligent one. And ultimately Simon becomes the better fighter because of his hardworking nature, but as far as the GL corps is concerned, I think that gives him a disadvantage compared to at least a few lanterns. He'd be in a similar tier to Hal and Guy. Just a bunch of raw power and simple shapes/drills. Kyle and John are much more versatile and would probably be able to win in a prolonged exchange.

Simon's drill is literally all he needs. His imagination is put on a single point, his drill is an unstoppable force that can overcome anything no matter how insane an insurmountable it is
