And there are SEGA characters that also make others SEGA redundant, in vice-versa ways. Mighty invalidates Knuckles, Nack invalidates Rouge, Tails invalidates Wave, Ray invalidates Tails, Jet invalidates Shadow, Shadow invalidates Blaze, Cream invalidates Charmy, and so on. If you are willing to go for this way, then we might as well do this with the SEGA characters themselves.
No. Pointing out who's redundant doesn't help on anything, and it only serves to hide the fact you actually just dislike the characters, especially as long SEGA continues to pumps out more and more new characters to a cast that already has been more than enough ever since the Adventure games, or even, before that, rather than opting to recycle the old and obscure characters, and bring them a chance to both shine and be playable, not for just once, but for also sometimes, when it's their turn.
Your comparisons here are not comprehensive and logical. Amy is not the smart leader type and Sally has stopped being a love interest for Sonic for a long time, Shadow has always implied to care about more of other things than just being Sonic's rival while Antoine has maturated and has been in the married status, Knuckles and Bunnie aren't anything alike at all other than both being strong, and Rotor and Tails both specialize and lean on specific respective sub-fields of technology that interest them and both have their own different perks and traits.
The fact that you chooses to be quite narrow-minded and vague here, rather than believing not just theses but that also many other characters can attain unique traits and more perks that makes them feel more separated and different from the others, as well feel more diverse on their acting and behavior, says surely something about you.
Sonic as a whole is dated. It's a 90's mascot animal character with radical, cool and cheesy attitude that dates back to the 90's.
Bad argument.
