Honestly in the DCAU canon Supes unknowingly had it coming as he captured and caged a sentient being thinking he was just a mindless starfish for decades who was already imprisoned for decades. Centuries old being sentient being. Imprisoned like an animal for X number of years, potentially hundreds, shmuck shows up and imprisons him again for decades. That is correct. It isn't Starro. I posted a picture of the Black Mercy as I believe that is what the person I was responding to was talking about. That is why the damn image is labeled Black Mercy and I clearly state I believe he is thinking of the Black Mercy.
