"The Flash: Year One" Part Two:
The Flash of Two Timelines
The Flash #71 Storytime
I dunno what the general consensus is on the past couple of issues so far but I'm enjoying it.
Thanks for reading.

Wait how is his identity going to be secret after this?
Im enjoying it but I do think having the title "Year One" carries a lot of weight to it and I dont know if its up to par
>first villain Barry fights is the Turtle
I'll give this to Williamson he at least knows his shit
And with other news I find it hilarious that he's gonna stealthily hit 100 issues
>Storytellers
What wrong with labeling someone as the artist?
I could be better.
They do Marvel Method.
Look, references!
the trick is that he's going so fast that no one will actually see him
is this a fetish
thanks for the storytime OP
He dabs into it.
Damn...
He didn't shit the bed like King did
Good story, a bit busy for an origin story but I can pass it off since this is just part of the clusterfuck that is flash.
Blurring his face like the Flash TV show
I saw the thumbnail and thought it was Jay.
Gotta say, I wouldn’t mind a mini or maxi featuring Old Man Barry this guy is fun as fuck
Only if it's also got Old Man Hal and it's just a stealth Flash/GL book.
cool page but what the hell is going on with Old Barry's shirt sleeves? They seem super short, to the point that his shirt might as well be sleeveless. As they are they would cause a lot of friction at the armpit area.
Dude does his research and doesn’t shit on the writers that came before
>more girl power crap and purposefully desexulized women
Boring no wonder flash is selling so low now
Oh look the wall from that flash cover.
Holy hell, nice catch.
>putting time travel in the Year One of the Flash
Way to make things complicated right out the get go.
Old Barry is sexy.
I mean Time Travel happened all the time in The Original Silver Age Barry Run, so not really
Wtf that is a really weird yet brilliant reference
No. That should have read 'It could be better' and not I could be better.
The Dance of War and Taekwondo is not a fetish it's martial arts were fighters mostly use their legs.
Are you an idiot? Iris has always run headfirst into a story without thinking of the consequences, and Barry has always been into her just for that reason
is that howard porter?
Yes
> if we were to create a time paradox we could destroy all of reality
uh... I haven't been keeping up with the flash after wally west died again. But are they just ignoring the fact that barry allen's existence as the flash existence is just one giant paradox a la flash rebirth?
The Brave and the Old
We’re only two issues in and I’m already loving it.
It’d be better than Old Lady Harley
Williamson had a real overreliance on evil speedsters, every time he gets away from it the book is better for it
Even this crazy other force stuff is just a means to tell new Rogue stories
Holy shit, that's some dedication.
Those face panels aren’t very good. Poor start.
Cool idea a joke villain that has been playing the long game from the very beguiling.
What would old man Hal look like, would it just be Parralax Hal?
I know this is Alan but I imagine he wouldn't look too different from this.
This story makes no sense. How can Barry treat the turtle like nothing special if he knows he will rule the city one day? Also jay is far better than using future Barry.
This is why Wally’s run was so much better. It did away with this bullshit and only slowly brought it in. Wally staring out only about to go a few hundred miles an hour and only then for only short periods of time was a far better year one.
This was such shit. I was hyped for this arc because I thought the Flash was overdue for a good origin, and due to the Year One title they would do it justice. But it's the same average schlock Williamson has been pumping out since Flash War.
Disappointed!
Gotta say I always thought that was Hal before I read it
Close combat Flash going al multiskill looks so much cooler than punching-at-super-speed Flash
>t. /pol/ crossboarding for first time
Gotta say with the look and the skills, I would love a Pulp Elseworlds featuring Old Man Barry
What no mask?
It was supposed to be, but Hal was recently dead at the time after years of being an antihero and there was no reason to believe he'd ever be coming back
Well, slow and steady wins the race.
No Carlos, No!
>I never took him seriously
>other Barry continues to never take him seriously
Yeah, that's what he said.
This waitress looks like anyone out of Part 8.
Respect.
Flash! Help me!
I thought it being Alan was basically a compromise. Ross wanted Hal, Waid wanted Kyle. They decided to just go with Alan. Same with Flash (though later stuff would say it's technically Wally at least in Waids eyes) Waid wanted Wally, Ross wanted Barry... so they just made him some sort of Mega Flash who's face can't be seen but wears Jay's helmet.
I liked how the Trickster story basically ended with him more or less winning.
A lot of people neglect to mention the impact artists have on the story
I honestly like how Williamson writes the Rogues, makes me wish he did that more
As if ANY DC character is overdue an origin. Like, ever again, EVER.
I like how vulnerable is Barry here. Instead of being this optimistic guy from the get go. Nice to see him struggle here.
get ready for bitching about Cold taking the offer from Lex
I’m a bit worried about that, but what we’ve seen of Williamson’s take on Snart has been fine so far so I’m Cautiously Optimistic
Williamson has been pretty good. Nothing outstanding, but nothing particularly terrible. It's kind of refreshing considering how most books have been treated lately. With all the Bendis shit and the King craziness. Then again, I'm easy to please.
I've never read any of the original Barry stories and Williamson has got me interested enough to go back. Probably going to just start from Barry's first appearance and read the whole run.
>Fuck the Speedforce!
I'll take a solid steady unimpressive run over emo King and WORDSWORDSWORDS Bendis.
