Say Steven and the Gems come across a completely unrepentant monster, A character who knows they are evil and enjoys every single bit of it, character that no amount singing, tears or talk no jutsu would work on; do they have enough power to take down this foe or are they fucked?

I would love if Steven was faced with a genuine villain for once

Depends.
Could they kill the Joker? Yeah.
Apocalypse? Nope.
Man, we have seen them fight monsters they could not persuade. A lot.

he left, defeated

Bismuth was never evil tho

I would pay to watch an Irken vs Gemworld war.

Presumably yes but clearly they'd prefer that it not come to that except as a drastic last resort.

Depends on power levels really. Obsidian is strong enough to cut through whatever material the Diamond mech is made out of, but it's also pretty big and possibly slow to make up for it.

>The gems realise that giving up the space conquest means no new gems
>In hopes of fixing this, they seek out the creator of the gems
>They track him down to a world so advanced it makes homeworld look like the bronze age
>On this planet the strange artificial lifeforms and other things seeming to be impossible to comprehend for the gems and are tough to get around.
>They eventually find the creator who simply let them walk in. At first he seems to ignore them because he's busy but eventually answers when he's done.
>The gems request that he helps them out with the production problems but just dismisses it.
>They ask why he won't help them and he says it would be a waste of time as he moved on to far more advanced projects a long time ago, the gems are little more than outdated tech to him, not worth improving.
>When they try to force him to help through violence, he just teleports them back to earth.
TBC... If you'd like I mean.

Slight correction on that first point:
They'll most likely be able to make gems without colonizing worlds if Peridot's ramblings were anything to go by back in S2.

Why? That's like letting a mildly retarded pitbull loose into an infant ward filled exclusively with lesbian babies.

Bismuth is a freedom fighter. Reminds me of a militant sjw.

I like to think that upon their persistence he gets annoyed and releases a race of all male metal humanoids that he created as a contingency to try and wipe them out. Seems like the kind of angle tumblr would eat up to push the whole toxic men thing.

As much as people hate on Connie, she's got a lot more aggression than Steven. She's also pretty vulnerable, anything that legitimately threatens her life would really fry Stevie's bits.

>filled exclusively with lesbian babies.
What in thrice boiled hell?

Yeah, they could probably breed some form of super lichen that meets their needs without having to sterilize and salt the earth.

Connie's worst "crime" is that she exists in a world with fascinating alien characters when in reality she's just...a bit bland. That's it. But you're right about the rest.

Bismuth's rage and frustration were valid, it's her methods that crossed the line. You don't let a mad dog run free and whether he meant to or not Steven did the right thing in poofing her and explaining the situation to her after she came back.

>do they have enough power
Steven unleashed is pretty powerful.

>Why?
It would be fun, specially if Zim was "helping" the Irken.

The scariest part of this is that he's not even angry. He just complied with what White asked of him ("answer me) and did that, but louder so she could hear.

I thought a cool villain for them would be a Gem hunting jeweler who had somehow taken power from Gems they'd 'cut' and started wearing
no hugs, no singing, just someone who wants to skin, wear or sell your entire race

She's almost literally a combination of a Haitian rebel and Robespierre. She even made a portable guillotine.

You forget that if left to his own devices Zim would fuck up the Gempire twice as hard as his own forces, it's just a matter of course that his own side would still sustain horrific casualties and losses. Dude's an idiot savant.

Connie is the kind of character that'd work a lot better in a book.

This is the read that makes the most sense to me.

I like the idea of enslavement via metallic settings.

He's all of the power with none of the emotion or empathy. That's the Diamonds before Steven, but even then they at least cared a little for each other if not their gems.

It would require that someone separate the two halves again though. Basic Steven is too big a pussy to muster that sort of power. He'd rather blubber on about morals and friendship as the big bad laughs and shanks his friends.

You think Steven "My Friends Are My Power" Universe would let someone actively hurt his friends?

I think he lacks the balls to actively put someone down. I mean hell, look at Jasper.

So another alien race? Or some humans?

I really wonder what will be the plot of season 6/Su sequel.

Smokey kicked the crap out of her and they're part Steven. If you mean the killing/poofing blow then yeah that's probably a step he'd prefer not to take.

Damn....

Aftermath/tying up loose ends. We already know there's something revolving around what Amethyst was like before she met the Crystal Gems. Probably things like that.

>If you mean the killing/poofing blow then yeah that's probably a step he'd prefer not to take
That's exactly what I mean. He'd never take the final necessary step to end a threat when faced with something he can't talk his way out of. Think back to bismuth. Bitch was going to put a hole in him and couldn't be talked down at the time and all he could do was whine. He survived only because he accidentally stabbed and poofed her.

Smoky is also part amethyst who is an experienced fighter. You also forget that a fusion is largely its own personality unless experiencing a rift between its components like when garnet was mad at pearl or when smoky saw Jasper's corruption taking place.

That's true, but he's also 14 years old and not trained to undergo the kind of things the CG's have had to deal with. Hell, not even Amethyst had to deal with putting down an ally before.

If he wants to try to play politics with genocidal dictators he should be prepared to play it the medieval way when necessary. If he's willing to tag along on violent missions he should come to terms with the fact that he may have to fight and kill.

This was before he knew he was a Diamond and had actual contact with Diamonds. It was before he'd even been physically close to one (Bismuth is an S3 episode, Blue Diamond appeared in S4).

2 arc :

Arc 1 : Human vs gem war because there's way too many gems now.
Have the big boss human using old gems tech
Have him be non redeemable showing steven that not everyone can change. Right now he managed to almost redeemed a fucking genocidal tyrant because she couldn't control her emotions. Let steven fight a guy who on the contrary control and accept his emotions but enjoy the shit he does.

Arc 2: snake people or other aliens VS gem.

In between the two arcs : some background /more slice of life shit.

No ideas about the movie. Maybe a pink diamond 2.0 prototype made by white diamond before that was left alone somewhere.

Attached: 1550751583568.gif (500x281, 991K)

Word of mouth from his allies regarding the diamonds and their deeds and the fact that he faced enemies who were hellbent on ending his life should've been all the impetus he needed to get his ass ready to play hardball.

The CG's don't talk about the Diamonds. The firs time he even hears about it is an off-hand comment from Jasper and the first time he sees Yellow Diamond is when Peridot steals a communicator.

I’d like a human villain.
Like the idea that Steven could face down enemy gems, a giant fusion superweapon, and even the dictators of a millennia old empire and somehow befriend them, but in the end his greatest foe who doesn’t fall for his friendship and love talk is just some mundane human asshole just seems very appropriate to me.

Unless Steven's got Vader's son backing him, he's screwed

Attached: uploads%2Fcard%2Fimage%2F414248%2Ff129d0ca-4149-4d9a-a933-605378d91f2b.jpg%2F950x534__filters%3Aqual (950x534, 62K)

And from that point on he should've been prepared by the CGs to kill or be killed who for some retarded reason up till then neglected to prepare him for such possibilities while bringing him into dangerous situations. This isn't rocket science.

That's why we have this guy, OP

Attached: Guts.png (656x705, 476K)

No we don't! Yea Forums has him!

She is clearly a commie, her weapons are hammer and sickle and she calls her enemies "the elites"

You know what show you're watching right? The CG's are just barely holding themselves together as is and Steven is the one who makes them all better people. He's prepared to fight by the time the Diamonds actually show up on Earth so the whole conversation is moot anyway.

>Steven tried to talk to this new creator and convince him to help with whatever issue
>Creator calls Steven an abomination and orders his security to destroy him
>Pearl and Earth CGs try to defend him only to get poofed and Pearl gets shattered
>Creator calls shattered remains of Pearl garbage and has one of his security to dust up pearls shards
>Steven realizes that Talk no Jutsu won’t work

What if the villain was a nihilist?

Writing a good nihilistic character especially in a kids show results in them being edgelords or actual threats.

Talk no jutsu rarely works in-show anyway. I count the number of times an enemy was talked down on one hand.

>Lapis (after a fight)
>Blue and Yellow Diamond (after a fight, imprisonment and another fight)

That's about it.

He Talk no Jutsu’d White Diamond then hit her with a No U.

Stop giving me hopes for something that will never happen

I think you're confusing apathy for cruelty/hate.

No he didn't. White tore out his gem and then got BTFO by Pink!Steven. The only thing Steven did in that fight was get a quip in which set off White's autism.

>Steven vs DIO

>Steven vs the Pillar men.

What if the Villain was so set in their beliefs and so convinced that they were right that Steven has no choice but to be Lethal. And no Bismuth doesn't count. She was more in for revenge.
