>Yea Forums told me this was a load of SJW driven schlock that just rips off Deadpool
>It's actually fun, cute, competently written, was genuinely funny and sad at times (sometimes both at once,) and overall, had a lot of heart that most books at the time lacked.
What the fuck is wrong with you people? Do you faggots even read the comics you bitch about? This book was great and I'm kind of bummed it didn't last longer.
Yea Forums told me this was a load of SJW driven schlock that just rips off Deadpool
>It's a "I'm shocked that anonymous posters would LIE about shit to fit their own agenda" episode.
>Again.
>nu/co/
>reading comics
It was passable and mostly praised for a cute protagonist/art
post neet gwen
Yea Forums is full of outragefags that don't read comics.
Gwenpool was basically one of the only good things Marvel was printing for a good chunk last year
You must be new here, so let's make this clear.
No one in Yea Forums likes comics.
No one in Yea Forums likes cartoons.
People here find reasons to hate anything, specially if they can turn it into a political talk, no recommendation would be good and due to the state of the place, actual objective criticism is impossible.
Search literally everywhere else for recommendations.
Bitch, Yea Forums worships Gwenpoole. What the fuck are you talking about?
>Yea Forums
>reading comics
Your first mistake is listening to/co/
What the fuck are you talking about faggot? I've seen a shit ton of people talk about how they like Gwenpoool here. The board isn't a hivemind so of course people are going to fucking disagree, that's why you have to come up with your own opnion.
What agenda WAS there, though? Usually, Yea Forums lies about books that actually have some content that offends them, but this book was through-and-through devoid of anything that could be interpreted from a political perspective. It spends nearly the entire time just being fun and cute with an occasional break from the levity to show consequences.
>listening to Yea Forums
Nobody knew who Iron man was back then though, he had a cartoon sure but he was never that popular, at least not as popular as Spider man or the x men
Strong female hero replacing a white male.
Not saying that's what it was but it's the way these people think
>Yea Forums being wrong
Today, on "obvious news"...
No one ever said Gwenpool herself is SJW. She's the type of quirky, manic pixie dream girl that SJWs love to write, but the book never forced in identity politics or DRUMPF references.
But she IS a Deadpool ripoff.
>muh outragefags
See pic. You're just as bad.
I haven't seen people call it SJW shit, just seen it called "le quirky" garbage with anime art for waifufags.
Nigger lover.
I don't know what Yea Forums you people were going to but i rarely saw people talking shit about Gwenpool here, seriously whenever someone tried baiting someone saying things like OP did there were always people defending it
I blame you for not getting a large enough sample size of opinions, this book was PRAISED here. If I were Marvel, i'd let Christopher Hasting write whatever he wants.
I mean, those are two of the most popular superheroes/teams of all time. Iron Man wasn't even close to being an unknown d lister like people would have you believe
>Yea Forums loved it I swear!
Every storytime thread had it's fair share of brainless shills and shitposters. Gwenpool was neither universally praised nor universally hated. Waifufags just loved it for the art. That's all.
pic unrelated
>if they're not the most popular character then they're a literal who despite having a cartoon about them.
So i guess OP is wrong either way
But Gwenpool IS trash OP.
>But she IS a Deadpool ripoff.
I was surprised how well the book used this perception of her to it's benefit.
I remember most of the shitposting coming from some guy with almost-broken English. You could tell it was the same guy because his writing style was hard to miss.
>but i rarely saw people talking shit about Gwenpool here,
you must not have been active when the comic was being published then. It was a daily shit show of false flags and fake praise threads organized by like one or two autists that may or may not have been mexican.
>Deadpool rip off
She is a Superboy Prime rip off.
It was praised but also had at least some contrarians that shitted up every single storytime.
It started out as one guy but then there became 2 or 3 dedicated copycats that would love to mimic him then shout
>Ha! you thought i was that prolific shitposter, but i'm not that shitposter i'm a completely different shitposter doing the exact same thing!
infact was like 90% of their argument.
aww man that's the wrong one. The one where he "Screams in mexican" is the better version.
>This book was great
How so? Everything about it was subpar.
>Yea Forums told me
Only new people let Yea Forums tell them what they should and shouldn't enjoy.
No one here watches the shit they complain about.
It's just as annoying when you make these threads.
Seriously fuck off with this evil Yea Forums shit you retards always do.
Wait, Gwenpool isn't Gwen Stacy?
IIRC, her name is literally "Gwen Poole" which made the costume designer she hired assume an approximation to Deadpool, so she made a Deadpool-approximate costume, but ran out of fabric when she got to the legs (hence her leotard)
>Do you faggots even read the comics
This, desu. It was a alright comic with decent characters, okay dialogue and it did some interesting things with the comic perception and alt reality angle, but Gurihiru art is the main reason to pick it up.
The issues where they didn't draw her are bearable, no more.
It's entirely related to the whole dumb milkshake thing.
t. make my opinion on out of context obviously edited panels
>Yea Forums told me
The part of Yea Forums that actually followed the series enjoyed it.
>trusting Yea Forums on anything
that's on you OP.
Well, she's gonna be coming back in August... so, YAY!
I liked it because of Hastings' writing mostly but yeah the replacement artists didn't do the book any services.
It was bound to fail
Not even the lewd artists gave a shit and we got character thats a white teenage girl who runs around in a tight costume. Youd think there would be piles of the stuff, but nope.
This. Burn the coal pay the toll.
Doesn't matter if it's not by the same writer, but i'd like to be pleasantly surprised with more interesting meta stuff like that page with Deadpool physically and verbally kicking her ass about her 4th-wall-breaker status.
nice lips
>Yea Forums told me this was a load of SJW driven schlock that just rips off Deadpool
No one said that.
Oh yeah, it was definitely a team effort. Even a talented artist like Gurihiru can't save a shittily written series Case in point, the Last Airbender
But now she's taking the Big Mutie Cock.
Part of the "we want cheesecake back" crowd hated it because she has the same hairdo as Heather Antos. Priorities amirite.
even though it was the other way around and Antos got the hairstyle after getting the gweenpool editor spot.
This comic was just not fucking funny
>illiterate jesse ventura
Or The Unstoppable Wasp
Imagine this phrase being "censored". That's actually just sad.
Whose?
One literal autist ESL and a handful of copycats pretending to be him for easy (You)s. There's no shortage of good books that outragefags pretended were awful to push some political agenda, but this wasn't one of them. The mexican shitposter's complaints weren't even about SJWs, they were about... not being as hot as Harley Quinn and her legs looking similar to Megaman? It was kinda hard to pin down what his actual problem was.
Better than expected.
After reading Leah's tweets concerning the mini, I feel assured Gwenpool's in great hands.
