It was the wedding fiasco for me. It made me reevaluate why I liked the dark tone to Batman, and King wasn't delivering. You can't be depressing all the time, you have to have some reprieve. Like the appeal of Batman for me was that he saw how terrible the world was, had every opportunity to go insane and take the easy road out, and he doesn't. He's still a hero. Sure heroes have low points, but with King it's just non-stop.
