Monstar is super bullied for being half monster. She's not stupid like normal Star and was sent away because of how much the kingdom mistreated her. And then everyone on Earth bullies her too. So she bonds with Marco because he's the only friend she has.

We decided on her personality. She's more competent and compassionate than our Star but has really low self-esteem because of the world treating her life shit. She was sent away from Mewni for her own mental well being rather than because she's a danger to the kingdom. But the people on Earth bullied her too. Except Marco. That's as far as development of the idea got.

No. Cold-blooded creatures asorb your heat so she would be warm to the touch. Monstar would hug you tightly in bed to keep warm.

NekoStar, MewClipsa, MissyMoon and MeteRoar destroy magic to save the wild felines from Mewni (no need for a pun here) while killing the Magical Bark Commission in the process.

NekoStar even jokes about it later with her friend Princess HumanHead; after all Rhombudog and Omnihound were traitors.

A little. It's mostly out of the MoonToffee AU, which the main artist behind the ship pushed at the time. In the ship, Toffee is the king but gets tons of shit from the racist Mewman subjects. Thus, Star gets a lot of the bullying from them. Yea Forums took it to another level by throwing abuse into it.

I actually really like monster. She is cute, but the whole monster liberation front would make more sense.

Not so much the story, but the main character. I’m probably wrong, but usually the interesting and uncomfortable aspects of a story are relegated to the side characters, while the main character is usually more cheerful and upbeat.
Not saying it isn’t possible, but I can see American companies being hesitant to green light a kids show about a more somber and reserved main character with issues that could hit a little too close to home.
