>left >barely killed thousands >heavily damaged the kingdom she was supposed to rule from >lost the respect of her lover >dies
>right >killed potentially millions, literally genocide >fucked up everything on a wonderfully chaotic and dimensional scale, both her kingdom and Marco's hometown included >gained even more infatuation from her lover >lives
where were you when Star Vs. btfo Game of Thrones?
>fucked up everything on a wonderfully chaotic and dimensional scale, both her kingdom and Marco's hometown included
Star didn't do that. And she only killed around 20 people. Spells aren't people.
Xavier Taylor
>Star didn't do that It was shown that the monsters started invading the city causing mass panic >spells aren't people They have friends, marry, have kids and were afraid of dying, they are people.
Alexander Diaz
>Spells aren't people This is what Nazis said about jews so it further makes me believe Star committed genocide
Josiah Wright
They where Self aware enough to form families, get depress for being useless or have a duty to protect protect their own.
>It was shown that the monsters started invading the city causing mass panic
It happened but was not the doing of Star. The reason Earth and Mewni merged is because as the magic was dying its last task was to put everybody back where they belong. 3 points caused the worlds to merge. Star belongs on Mewni, Marco belongs on Earth, Star and Marco belong together. To resolve these 3 points, the magic made Earth and Mewni the same place. That's why it's not something Star did. You can blame her for it but by that same logic, Marco is equally to blame.
Ryder Lee
huh, hadn't thought of it that way...
Thomas Perry
>both are crazy >both are blonde >both are entitled >both are white >both are women Really makes you think.
Yeah I noticed the similarities too. I'm pretty sure the writers didn't think this through and unintentionally created one of the most immoral and black hearted protagonist in childrens cartoon, with a kill/destruction count that would make some villains blush.
What bothers me the most is the ending of star vs is it kills off any fun speculation or ability for fans to create anything of the series after the ending point. It’s like how samurai jack’s ending erased everyone from the future but worse because while that show succeeded in it’s goal of going back to the past star vs is literally entirely about the premise of star, marco, and friends going on whacky magical adventures and fighting magical villains with magic.
This is partially why people care less about starco happening and more about how fucked up earth must be.
Gabriel Cook
stop spamming this faggot, you've been told you are wrong in every single thread.
Chase Long
Well, look on the bright side: you can't speculate about magic adventures anymore, but you can now speculate about a whole lot of post apocalyptic scenarios for Earth.
Jaxson Perez
Was there a perfect solution to Star's problem. Because the way I see it there wasn't. MHC were pricks right till the very end, the realm that is the source of magic in the entire Multiverse was being corrupted AGAIN (I don't think they ever really explain how it's happening either). Solarian warriors were basically megazord gundams with supersoldiers high on magic meth equipped with magic swords designed to screw over anything they hit, ensuring a slow painful death before being vaporized.... like Yeah you couldve gone with Eclipsas route and fight altogether, but as I was thinking this, I remembered the fucking anihillation spell. You know, the lovechild of a genocidal queen made hundreds of years ago that destroys anything it touches and is SENTIENT.
I keep thinking that if they had cast that spell again to get rid of the Solarian army, that spell's very presence would make it the reason Star has to destroy the magic, it's self aware, has a set goal of destroying anything in its path, and seems to go on forever.
All of this together and I've come to the conclusion Star had to get rid of the magic. It was a blatantly dumb idea on retrospect, but there was no clear solution and the person who came up with the idea was maybe have a nervous breakdown due to all the stress and craziness that happened withij the span of a single DAY
im sure fans have the potential to come up with a lot of stuff. you can always write an AU or perhaps a story about magic returning via cosmic regrowth or some shit
GoT was only disappointing because of how it got there. The ending itself made perfect sense, and the amount of viewers who still want a egomaniacal tyrant on the throne shows exactly how easy it is to brainwash people.
Star Vs on the other hand is literally that ending, because the writers lack self-introspection.
Jaxon Reed
I mean the series ends with a creepy magic guy on the throne, something Varys said was the WORST possible outcome way back in season 2.
Jace Lopez
well, Bran is a damn organic informational archive of the world. guess he would have the wisdom to rule. satisfying to know the Starks, after all they've been through, came out on top at least
Mason Martinez
Nefcy clot kickers are fucking idiots who’ll eat up whatever shit she spews out
Easton Martinez
But Star's ending was great. No it does not at all make sense in the show rofl. Are you kidding me? In the books it could with Bran's connection to the Children of the Forest. Though admit your point about the pleb viewers still wanting a tyrant are fair.
Jaxson Russell
I guess I was only comparing the Daenerys and Jon portions of the ending. Everything that came after was for me trivial. Couldn't care less who ended up on the throne. Anyone who thinks there was an actual good option for the throne hasn't been paying attention.
Connor Johnson
>tfw star vs actually did what people accuse the Diamonds in SU of doing and genocided sentient beings en masse
This is why you imply stuff instead of making it properly canon. It leaves you some wiggle room.
Leo Walker
Also in the book version wasn't Danaerys a little girl around Star's age? Nefcy is a GoT fan and said the show is like GoT for kids. At least 2 actors for the show were voice actors on SvtFoE.
Anthony Powell
>Was there a perfect solution to Star's problem. Because the way I see it there wasn't. "Easy Peasy Time Freezy"
Then move the frozen Solarians around so they cut each other down with their own energy swords.
That is not true! Star is a dirty commies who genocide on the nationalist magic creatures!
Carson Adams
>the pleb viewers still wanting a tyrant are fair. many people tend to root for the villains in fiction. Darth vader, magneto, the joker, and so on. She was also in a setting where there isn't anyone who is truly good and had the most badass weapon
Robert Ramirez
Star got rid of the MHC aka ZOG. She's clearly NatSoc
Levi Nguyen
It would have probably been too anticlimactic for an action type show, but talknojutsu with A resurrected Solaria would have been pretty optimal. Tom, raises Solaria from the dead, she explains that not all monsters are bad and removes the Solarian army's powers.
Well, of course magic would still be a problem, It is just too powerful. The total annihilation spell, time freezing spell, Skywynne's anti gravity spell, Star's suck transform spell that can send people to an empty void, and who knows how many other lethal spells there are... Shit, even just dimensional scissors are freaking over powered, defeat any normal security system, magic pretty much allows for anything and is too dangerous. Even in the hands of well meaning individuals, a big screw up can lead to massive problems. I personally, would have liked to have seen a massive nerf to magic, rather than complete removal of it. Leave only enough magic to create whimsy minor spells, like laser puppies; but no invincible solarian soldiers or gravity deletion.
Luke White
Monsters aren't people
Christian Ross
The perfect solution was not to give up power, not to kick everyone out of their homes, but start a gradual re-intergration for monsters who choose to come back, while using magic to build infrastructure where the monsters are currently living so there can be self-sufficiency, commerce, and eventually trade between the two nations. She has fucking magic, there is no limit to the amount of resources she could create, she can make everyone's lives better.
Instead, Star chose the final solution, which completely justified Mina's response. Displacing an entire population is a declaration of war.
Kayden Wood
It's the other way around
John Nguyen
If Star still actually had her magic powers, she would've just made up a spell on the spot that solved her problem for her. Plot got in the way of pretty much every single character in this show, but especially Star. Want some drama? Just beat the MC with the retard stick so they suddenly become helpless in a very typical fight so all they can do is cast the same couple spells the writers rehashed. Pretty fitting considering how much they dumped on her with this forsaking everything she ever cared about story (beating up monsters, fighting anything willing to fight back, putting stuff in her mouth, creating new spells to serve her every whim in the moment) to be responsible while simultaneously trying to hand off all responsibilities to go hang out with Marco. Really just doesn't seem like the same character, just a somehow even more selfish, boring version of her. She gave up.
Leo Diaz
>putting stuff in her mouth
I mean, she still wants to put something in her mouth.
Jason Gutierrez
here comes the cake stick!
Ryan Mitchell
>killed potentially millions You guys keep saying this but so far no evidence has been given, we saw after the dimensional merge that a lot of creatures that you would consider "magical" were still alive, I think you guy are confusing having magic with needing magic in order to live, pretty much the only ones that died because of this was Glossaryck and his spawn.
Lincoln Gomez
beating off to ptsc, why do you want to know?
Christian Diaz
SVTFOE Earth people aren't people.
People care about self-preservation and wouldn't tolerate a blond psycho massacring innocent students and police officers for a year. If they respect themselves enough to care about survival, why should the audience?
Only Earthling worth called a person is pic related as she always saw Star as the evil being she was. She'll make an excellent wife for Rich Pidgeon.
