Because it's a lot more personal than other villains. Obie was pretty much the creepy uncle/father figure for Tony after Howard's death. I got similar creep vibes off Thanos during with interactions with Tony on Titan. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

I know but it would helped if he had unique attacks. He still seemed tame for a militarized version of the Mk. 1. A rocket barrage would have been sick. What I'm saying is that he's too limited and boring when the third act relies on him to carry. The dialogue is great but the action is disappointing.
