Why Zombies? Who the fuck puts Zombies in a Sonic the Hedgehog story?

They wanted robians without actually calling them robians. Sega's mandates do nothing but ensure stagnation.
But like they are just metal zombies, at least Robians had gadgets and stuff a normal Badnik would have.
Smurfs did it first.
Metal T-1000 zombies.
IDW does, obviously.
Maybe the thought is having the guy who runs very well against a slowly walking horde.
>muh mandates
fuck off, ian
Honestly Ian isn't really talking negatively about the mandates wrt IDW; it kinda feels like in some respects sega is actually more lenient with IDW than with Archie (outside of stuff concerning the setting)
People tend to think that it's Ian bringing up mandates all the time when it's just the fandom that does.
Zombies as a story isn't a problem. Heck, the best story in the comic so far is Rouge pretending to be a mummy to spook some baddies.
The problem is they're uninteresting zombies and the story is strung out over an entire year. It's a few issues worth of writing being stretched and milked for all it's worth.
