The people who were losing their shits over a couple photos have long since more on to the next outrage du jour. Meanwhile, the show itself wasn't bad enough to add fuel to their collective hateboner, while having enough positives to actually gain some fans (mostly thanks to the villains). Come Season 2 with some slight improvements and character developments and wouldn't you know it, the fans of nuShe-ra are the ones still talking about it.
TL;DR - People came in expecting shit, left when they got average, leaving only the fans to fill the threads.
I really liked the character designs but the show itself is meh.
