First Stretch Armstrong and now this. Is Hasbro pretty much just ditching everything that isn't Transformers, Horses, or Power Rangers?

Someone at Hasbro must've really had it in for this show.

Usually when a show gets totally denied a chance like this, it's because there's something wrong with it, or it's just passable at best. This is the first time I've seen a show with such quality & effort get the shaft so completely.

Wonder if we'll ever learn what the deal was, because this is pretty messed.

Hasbro gives no shits if it's not Transformers or Horses. And Horseshow's current (and by far most well received) series is ending sometime this year, meaning that one of its biggest hitters will be off the air for an indeterminate amount of time. And they just cancelled Hanazuki, another potential big hit because they're fucking retards.

Plot issue I guess.

These are the same really really petty and unfathomably spiteful people who will send fullblown cease and desist notices to their own fans fir making content with their characters or otherwise drawing inspiration from them.

There's a very good reason why a ton of content creators for Horseshow stuff fucked off and never came back. Hasbro cares more for maintaining a collapsing monopoly rather than embracing the wonderful set of fans it actually has. And the instant shit starts to go under, they'll either blame the fandom for their own fuckups, or they'll pull some half-assed bullshit to try and make themselves relevant again.

Hasbro is fucking incompetent when it comes to running their animated properties.

I doubt any of those will even get through the pitch phase. Hasbro literally does not care if it's not osmething easily likable like the Horses.

Even if they do, it would make more sense to debut those before canning preexisting shows. That way they could transition smoothly instead of having a big lull period inbetween.

Hasbro didn't promote it adequately in the first place. Gotta get kids actually watching the show first, but they just didn't try to build the audience who would buy the merch and ask for more.

As someone who worked on this show I have no clue what the hell is going on. I haven't been in touch with the crew in almost 2 years. All I know is that I worked on about 15 episodes for season 2, about 15 shorts and stayed on longer than I was suppose to.

And why the fuck did Brian Goldner waste 2 billion on Boulder Media? Mike Vogel already micromanaged Boulder Media with the MLP Movie, he can still get sued to hell and back if somebody provides adequate evidence and a good lawyer

Well let us talk about the pros and cons of this show 1 more time before we end it.

As well as any potential to edit the show into something better; a better soundtrack and better dialogue.

Pros, the show did a good job at treating sadness and despair as emotions. It's easy to tell kids to be happy all the time, but the show went ahead and said "sometimes you have to feel it out".

I figured it was canned when I found a ton of those electronic bracelets at Dollar Tree a month ago.

Cons:
>took too long to get into a plot.
It took 6 episodes or so to introduce a new threat and when they did, we had to go back to character episodes. It's a kid's show, so it's not that big a deal, and the character episodes are great because they always have to tackle how the characters feel, but it's stuff like that that made the show an investment rather than something that can immediately grab someone's attention if not for the style and character designs, which evidently didn't attract enough people for it to keep going.

The Big Bad is actually not that bad as a villain, but it's too abstract and it takes a while for it to properly settle in that it really is an intimidating threat. At first it's simple to just keep up the emotion trees and you're good. First aeason had Twisted as an antagonist to liven things up, but he's in the middle and while they're still establishing character dynamics with two-three characters at a time. Which is why a new villain for the second season was a good idea and it seemed like it and the new emotion colors would've gone somewhere interesting... eventually.

It's been so long since Season 1 I'm not really all the invested anymore. I'll watch Season 2 eventually when it's all out in English.
