With how doom and gloom these last few story arcs have been I can only assume the series will end on an upbeat note.
For a given value of upbeat, yes, I'd say so.
So many great final scenes, I'm sorry I missed the storytimes.
I was due to reread this quality comic. Really sorry I missed the wedding massacre and the time jump.
This page does a great job of panel weight.
The focus is on Tommy running back into the brink, while Truman's death is an unimportant hastily drawn square in the corner.
I'm not crying, you're crying.
This marks the end of the series proper, but Ennis and McCrea got together a few years later and did a Hitman teamup with the JLA, which goes as follows.
>t Ennis and McCrea got together a few years later and did a Hitman teamup with the JLA
Don't forget about All-Star Section 8 and Six-Pack & Dog-Welder - Hard Travlin' Heroz.

Rest in peace you boys
I somehow completely forgot about all-star section 8, I guess I know what I'm storytiming tomorrow
>you will never get a Hitman animated movie where this plays as Tommy runs back towards Matt in slow-mo and blasts Truman in the skull

Jesus wept
Kills me every time, god damn

All's well that ends well. I hope you've enjoyed these reading these storytimes as much as I have posting them. Hopefully it even got some of you into Hitman for the first time. I'm thinking of doing Preacher next, but it wouldn't be until next week. So until then, adios and good night.
Good night and thanks a load.
oh yeah, and come back tomorrow for All-Star Section 8, it'll be a hoot and a half.
It's always been kind of endearing how Ennis clearly doesn't like traditional super heroes but seems to have a huge soft spot for Superman.
Pour one out for my boys :(
>hearty chuckle
Fuck! This always gets me.
unf
I gotta say, as dumb as the event was, those things look pretty fucking rad.
>Haken has a fake hand here
So they reretconed it back into him losing his hand?
F
Really, Ellis?
I like to think that Tommy saw proper for just a moment there.
F
Looks like I got 8 threads to read.
Well worth it.
you would be suprised how often that happens, to new guys in police or military. Super crack shots, hands steady as if made out of steel. Guy pulls out a shocker and forgets to load the thing, and suddenly he has a 200kg dude on him that just got hit by two needles and is angry.
They referenced Hitman in the New 52. Batman comes out of some bootlegging tunnels straight into Noonan's
I'll post them for the sake of completion
2/2
>the lobo tape in the vcr
hehehe
I always remember this book for making me sympathize hard with Superman and hating Batman for being a little bitch. Which is kinda the opposite of how I usually feel about them.
Did Tommy ever show up in any recent DC book? Like did Blackest Night or some other event brought him back? Not saying I want him to come back.
classic
Do you people think Tommy is in heaven or something like that?
Hope so. He deserves to be at peace somehow.
I think if he aint then God's as much of a dickhead as Batman is and I wouldn't wanna be there anyway. He probably is though, who wouldn't wanna hang out with Tommy?
Man what is the Flash's problem?
Fuck ;_;
Thanks for the storytime. Loved this series, got me to keep an eye out for ennis books.
Such a sweet, excitable boy.
thanks for the story
I AM BUMPOR
He’s in hell
Kickin’ the shit outta the devil.
Tommy a friggin cute
Nah, he was referenced and maybe showed up in All-Star Section Eight but outside of the JL crossover, issue 60 was the end for Tommy and Natt. Hacken did get some cool development in the Section Eight Series
Did Baytor stick around? He didn't die right?
Genuinely think this might be my favorite page in a comic as well as the ending to this. Hitman is by a wide margin my favorite series DC or any company has ever done and I both live for and loath the day DC might bring it all back.
Baytor is fine and gets a bit of spotlight in the two Section Eight runs from a year or so back
I haven't read the previous Hitman volumes but can you tell me why Tommy likes Superman so much?
Tommy grew up in a literal melting pot of cultures; the neighborhood was called "the Cauldron" for fuck's sake. He grew up seeing people flee from their petty hatreds in the old country, but start them right back up again in the US like a child tracking dog shit all over the carpet. He sees Superman as the ideal American. Superman came from another fucking planet, but he's like an avatar of the American dream, accepting of everyone, and Superman just does the best he can to do good. Tommy believes in truth, justice, and the American way.
>bueno over and over
ehehehe
Huh, I never saw Superman like that before.
Does Tommy like Batman?
See Idiots in underwear, except for Superman. The Cauldron is part of Gotham, and the only time Batman shows up is to bust Tommy's balls; not when vampires are killing kids, or the mafia is chopping up his best friend, or murdering anyone he cares about. Tommy has to handle all his own problems despite being on Batman's doorstep; I can't really see any reason for him to like the guy. Also the first time they met he got punched so hard he threw up.
Thanks for the storytime, OP.
Goddamn, this entire final moment is just perfection.
Eh, they always just looked like Xenomorph knockoffs to me.
bump
First time reading this. It's now one of my favorite stories. Thanks for the good time, OP!
section 8 storytime is a go:
