I'm going to make the lesbians friends at the start of the story and in both stories their friendship (and inevitable relationship) is important to the story. I'll give an excerpt of one of the friendships/relationships:
a previously wide eyed and optimistic girl trying to be an actor who realises the industry us worse than her previous ideas of it meets a washed up older girl who only worked in it briefly before bring kicked due to be too 'adult'. Eventually the two meet and the older girl tries to befriend the younger girl after the younger girl tries to drown her stress of being a lower rung comic and the older girl successfully convinces her that the older girl actually knows how the industry works. After awhile the younger girl realises she's just being used as an emotional crutch for the older girl, but pitied her because the older girl is a complete mess. Over the series the older girl realises she needs to change for the better if she and the younger girl want to turn things around for the industry.
The characters are funny animals.
