Seems like Marvel Comics #1000 wasn't just a one-off like lots of people were thinking it was.

It's not like we haven't seen Marvel try and milk an idea for all the money it's worth. But I guess it's a surprise to shills like Rich.
most of us know what ad block is
But only a few know that ublock is better.
Literally why?
Hopefully, it'll be better than 'Tec #1000. Oof, that was rough
They'll be shut down if they don't sell a million.
How does this add up? Is it just the anthology titles added up?
They pretend that Marvel Comics (renamed Marvel Mystery Comics) was never cancelled and ran until today.
But also went weekly at some point because they are still at around 970 if they pretend it was never cancelled.
But why? Why is Marvel doing this?
It doesn't and I don't think it's supposed to.
No one is stopping DC and Marvel from making Batman #1,000,001 and Deadpool #1,001
>Batman #1,000,001
A sequel to the DC One Million series? Maybe.
>Marvelfags will defend this
40 years ago they would have.
+Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel and Marvel comics Presents and marvel team-up, etc...
>DCucks will get triggered by this
>DCucks
Incoming ban.
Rape incoming.
Money, retard
More like not enough people cared enough about #1000's gimmick since they're constantly restarting/resetting/rebooting issue numbers so they're doubling down hard.
I better not. sounds like a nightmare
wtf even is marvel #1000?
>let´s celebrate marvels history by lying and censoring parts we deem problematic
ya, we get that Yea Forums doesn't read any comics.
>censoring
Avengers 200 was just referenced in Carol's own book. It's not being cut out
I knew that was too much Ewing for one book.
>Desperation + 1
RIGHT? I mean: just look at those numbers!
HOW WILL THEY MAKE THEIR BONUS THIS QUARTER???
sauce:
comichron.com
Exactly, they're desperate for sales.
>they're desperate for sales.
Like: ALL THE SALES? They're already making out like a fat kid in a candy store while the rest of the market flounders around cluelessly.
Destroying the market won't turn them into the owners of the market, user.
And you can hold the caps, they don't help your arguments.
>O MY INFLATED STATS
good goy believe everything you read from one of several hundred identical tabloid sites
>MUH FAKE GNUS!
diamondcomics.com
Oh, that's the biggest tabloid site of them all.
REEEEEEEE THEY SHIP MORE TITLES REEEEE
Exactly, they're flooding the market. Even worse, they also overship.
Would you like a time-out to go cry in a corner?
What does that even mean, user? Is it relevant to the matter we're discussing?
>double the sales
and they still keep canceling all their reprints of actual good material
Because it doesn't sell.
Based and blockpilled. Don't forget UBlock Plus
I misnamed it.
*Ublock Origin Extra
Only /shelf/ scum buys in paper format.
nor does current DC. So might as well pack up
That would kill Marvel, user. Especially when they have to steal ideas from other publishers.
Only thing marvel can copy from dc is how to flop
Marvel comics (and cartoons and video games and toys) doesn't need help to flop. They're pros at it.
>Marvel comics, which is literally 50% of the industry at the moment
>doesn't need help to flop
You're not very good at this, senpai.
>wtf even is marvel #1000
An 80 page comic, one page for each year that Marvel/Timely/Atlas has existed, with each page by a different creative team (though Ewing is writing like a dozen of the pages himself since he's the person in charge of the issue's overarching story). It's a neat gimmick for a one-off, but still just a gimmick.
Presumably #1001 onwards will just be a regular anthology book.
Have Marvel given a reason for why it's issue #1000 or are they just blatantly jealous of DC?
Nah, I think #1001 onwards is just Al Ewing continuing the story gimmick-free.
I think even with adblock I ended up getting virus pop ups. Back in the day I used to try to be kind and toss rich a few shekels by disabling ad block. I even used to go daily and be on the forums. Then the ads and virus warnings got worse. Now I van't even be bothered to visit.
Your mom went weekly at one point
Why would you try to be nice to Rich? Dude and his site are garbage.
I dont read marvel comics, whats the problem here?
Read Marvel Comics #895 and you'll see why
What kind of math did they do to get to #1000?
Surely they could've flubbed some numbers and got X-Men, Spider-Man and Avengers #1000.
FPBP
>Al Ewing
Based and about time to put him on the lead of something!
