CGI RR doesn't bother me as much as the idea that they will place them in a standard generic human world, with a standard set of humans to face and rescue. I know the cartoon wasn't a world of dogs and ducks, but it had a heavy element of animals being some underground society.

I didn't think the two things were connected. The movie rescuers were caricatures of their actors personalities while Chop and Dale were pre established already from shorts.

I think the only time that's ever even obliquely addressed on the show is when Fat Cat pretends to be just a normal animal by not wearing clothes when his owner is around.

Nobody after the opening film ever seems to think it's the least bit odd that animals are wearing little outfits.

Chip and Dale are also pretty much the only major characters besides Fat Cat not to wear clothes in the first appearance as well.

Movie had the same art style and sound with a significant # of things. Main premise was obviously the same, too. hip and Dale were supposed to range between silly and ass-holes and they never showed a transformation of their personalities in the series to what they were in that.

I thought that they weren't allowed to use the Rescuers because of the second film being in production at the time and Eisner was one who pushed for them to use Chip and Dale since they could sell it more easily being based on previously established characters.

I want a reboot of animated Rescue Rangers. However i want it made by centrist or right wing writers. We already see how leftists handle cartoons like Star vs, Ducktales, Steven Universe or She-Ra. What I'm worried about with live action is that the movie will be 90% about the human characters.
All the regular cast will be turned into side characters with no moments to stand out, and Chip & Dale will share every scene to the point that they'd really be just a single character with two bodies.
