Dakota has a big bird butt and I would bake with her while respecting her personal space any time.

it was alright
Tuca can be overbearing at times
Bertie is just there
the plant people are nice
there's some good gags here and there
Speckle and BHS69 makes a good bro team

hope things gets better in season 2

What show name

Tuca and Bertie

Pretty good. I'd like a season 2 if it ever came.
Dakota was super cute and I want Speckle and Joel to have adventures.

I liked it

>masturbation scene
Post screens

i liked how speckle has the same voice actor as keith from voltron so now i know what it'd sound like if keith told someone to bend over, you little tart.

Liked it, but I don’t love it yet. I’m probably gonna watch season 2 but largely forget about it between seasons.

I liked how they didn’t go overboard with the feminism angle and they managed to make a “female oriented” show where enough of the female characters were horrible dicks just as much as some of the men, and the protagonists were held accountable for a lot of their own problems.

confusing on most parts.
On one hand she actually tries to better herself to suceed but then she muffles about the glass ceiling and feminism and how women are hold back by men.
Everytime they try to show the feminist agenda they show how stupid it is. but they seem so sincere about their message.

>Hey let's redo BoJack except this time it's about women
>Redoing something about a man only with women instead is always smart right?

>I wish I could protect them...
>From what?
>From the world, from men.
Woh... this show is so progressive

this is the same show with bertie lamenting in the first episode that it wasn't actually sexism holding her back, it was herself. relax.

I liked the animation a lot. The humor was hit or miss, but I probably would have liked it more if I was a woman.
I must be stupid because I thought the all the stuff with Pastry Pete was kinda dumb.

No. I didn't think pastry Pete would turn out that way.

Bertie cute.
I also liked Tuca's character development.

I really liked the 70s/webtoon style animation and the jokes landed with me. Despite that, I generally disagree with the messages, especially the whole "it's ok to be irresponsible, that's who you are". I guess they wanted to give a nuanced take or whatever.
Thankfully, since it's not a series for children, that's not a problem to me and I enjoyed it overall a lot, I also liked the casual take on sex instead of the usual grotesque/porno take most " adult " shows take.
I also think the execution on the feminist mindset was miles ahead to most other attempts at it. It wasn't annoying or over the top, and should at least be the low bar from now on.

And then in the second to last episode she figures out that she was only holding herself back because she was raped because of sexism.

having a fear of the other sex is pretty common after you're abused as a kid user. The show never portrayed it as 'sexism'' it's a shitty thing that fucks with your head for life.

Attached: circles.png (1163x907, 776K)

Couldnt even get past the first episode.
Everything felt extremely forced and the moment they made the 1000th "oh no, this sugar is actually my dead granny" i turned it off. That joke is 20+ years old and instantly shows the writers are creatively bankrupt.

I’m pretty sure opposite sex rape is generally considered a sexist act.

>Steven Yeun will never design the dream house he wants to live in with you and make you two types of oven fries

Well that's just silly. Humans do base and disturbing things pretty regularly, to say it's because of abstract social structures instead of personal choices and defects is deflecting responsibility.

I dunno' that sounds like something I'd expect someone who was sexually abused as a kid to say.

>not watching the show
>bitch about it anyways

Checked.

to say personal choices happen in a vacuum and societal structures don't groom that behavior through positive and negative reinforcement is deflecting our responsibility as a pack-bonding species

I'm not that user and am just interjecting a point in a conversation I've not followed, for the record

Well, so does Diane in Bojack. Granted I haven't watched Tuca yet but Diane seems to legit believe in what she says even if the show itself points out how stupid it is

I don't a single more negative reinforcement than being a child diddler, to say we positively enforce child molesters through sexism is a pretty long stretch chief.

I think you hit the nail on the head there. If they said something like "you've gotta change," then it might have been seen as too similar to Bojack Horseman and not it's own piece since every single season has had someone tell Bojack he's got to make a change. That's just my take on it though.

The show does say sexism is a real problem women face, but it isn't the cause of all their problems. Bertie was one of her boss' picks for a promotion but she was too afraid to ask for it until she got a boost in confidence. But she was also sexually abused as a child and she does get harassed quite a few times in the show, so I don't think that part (sexism is bad) is going anywhere, especially since her abuse is likely the root of her commitment issues. I don't think her boyfriend even knows about it yet.

Whoa, thanks...I was hoping it's the tucan

Tuca mostly just flashes her boobs

These three are adorable.

Nah, the tucan gets family issues instead.

It was just okay.

>ywn a noodlegoose

EAT MY ASS KEVIN

Shit trying to cash in in sad horse game.

It's a pretty mundane sentiment in modern feminism, though.

Does it establish that it's a pathological misconception of the world?

Aggressive Retsuko is much better.

Low bar. Aggretsuko is still shit

It tells a complete story in under three hours. It makes very efficient user of its short running time.

I want to rape loli bertie.

Yes, actually. Because Bertie's co-worker is sexually harassed by her boss too, and she immediately tells him to fuck off. Bertie acknowledges that the problem is her, not all men.

The harassment also really aroused her too given it occurred at a time when Speckle and Bertie’s sex life was at a low, hence the masturbation scene in the bathroom. She wants to be dominated but acknowledges that her fetish is really screwed up given the context we got in episode 9.

I wouldn't really compare the two

imagine being crazy enough to have sex with a creepy homeless vulture dude

That was just a one time thing she did twice.

I need someone to edit bertie masturbating to have the End of Evangelion "I'm so fucked up" dialogue over it

To go with: youtube.com/watch?v=P5yATAFDNW4

It wasn’t especially funny, but it did have an unexpected emotional core that carried it through

It's bad, pretty fucking bad. Like, S5 bojack horseman bad tier.

Attached: 155676043983.jpg (360x491, 63K)

Isn’t it basically S6 of Bojack?

I think if it tried to sidestep that by saying "Be your best self" but yeah it does sort of pitch an idea that broken people should just find their codependent puzzle piece instead of mending themselves. You can absolutely have people that help you take yourself to a new level, but you should be able to at least function on your own.

>Bertie finds it hot getting dominated
>later finds out she was raped
reminds me of that one report that said how women of countries that got invaded by Nazis had rape fantasies

First episode was pretty damn hilarious. Have yet to watch the rest because I'm busy these days. Still I know for a fact I can recommend that people watch the first episode and see if they like it.

It hurts so much

I want to fuck a plant

The tucan can pick up any guy she likes, she doesn't need to fap.

Tuca is more annoying than Todd
The last 3 episodes had too heavy a tone for the visuals and setting
They introduced Bertie's job only to ignore it for half the season
I'm confused of where it takes place considering there are places like Birdtown and San Francisco.
The talking plants served no purpose besides being wacky and could've easily have been animals that don't talk much
Real animals and anthro animals in the same setting irk me

Garbage.

>Real animals and anthro animals in the same setting irk me
user that exists in real life with primates.
I've never been bothered much by the idea of greater and lesser animal species, like there was an evolutionary divide where sapience popped up among some animals and over time stabilized into a new species in the same family due to geographical restraints, then spread across the world like how races of humans distribute.

I'm angry that there are animals that aren't bipedal and don't speak and act like animals in a setting where almost every character is a civilized bipedal talking animal.

>The talking plants served no purpose besides being wacky and could've easily have been animals that don't talk much

It's almost like it's an absurd cartoon

JAguar is close, she reads and understands English, but she still speaks in cat noises.
