Gun to your head: You've been given billions of dollars and one goal:

Make an animated movie franchise that follows marvel's cinematic universe formula.

What do you choose to adapt to the big screen and how do you do it over the next ten years?

None because the MCU formula is fucking cancerous and it shouldn't be applied in concept to anything besides Marvel and DC

Characters from my OC Donut Steel superhero story

The entire life of Bruce Wayne, from childhood to old man.

Animated Star Trek series that follows the events of post-Kelvin universe existence but takes places within the OG Star Trek universe. Follows the lives of Captain Riker and other characters attempting to restore peace to a post Romulus universe and the Romulans and Vulcans coming together as a species throughout the course of multiple movies and shows that eventually lead to a unification of the two species.

MCU sucks dick dude.

The animated retro gamingverse. Have the endgame movie be a smash movie.

That isn't the point retard, the point is to have people talk about shit they'd like to see be equally as large scope.

Nintendo franchises. I could make them fucking garbage and cheap out, and people would still like them. Then I sell it to someone and run.

Don’t force crossover movies or individual players per movie and we could have a discussion.

90's indie comicsverse. Get some talented 2d animators from the liquid television era, pool from newer material, and built up to hypercrisis

its made billions of dollars and is the second highest grossing film of all time ever dude

What’s their formula?

Would a billion be enough?
I feel like making it animated is going to hamstring you out of the gate, at least for a big universe idea.

I'm tired of seeing this excuse.

What other franchises have massive multi title continuities other than cape comics?

not an excuse, bruh, just trying to annoy you by pointing out basic facts. obviously it worked.

Plenty of video game companies.

I would go with what is probably going to be the obvious and popular answer:Nintendo/Smash Bros.

This sounds like it'd be boring as fuck

>that follows marvel's cinematic universe formula.
I'm confused. What does this mean? Do you mean setting up a bunch of spin-offs? Do you mean it has to actually be a Marvel comic adaptation?

Hire people to do it for me.

Explain your actual problem with the MCU style of movies instead of just sperging out

Dungeons & Dragons long series of 22 movies.

First 4 movies is the solo story of each main character (The Warrior, The Cleric, The Wizard and The Rogue). Rogue goes first because he is the closest to human level (and therefore close to human relatability).

The group dynamic is supposed to be like this:
- Wizard is mysterious and resourceful, but pessimist and somewhat arrogant; He is not as powerful as he lets people know and has to use limited magic, limited magical components, wands with low charges and so on. That will avoid the whole "why didn't he cut thanos hand with a portal" meme.
- Warrior is serious, no-nonsense character that believes in solving things the simplest way, with a lot of fighting and using simple weapons and cunning. No magic, no tricks, just steel. Better if female and mid 40's.
- The Cleric should be adorable, naive and the heart of the group. However, it must be the most corageous and inspiring.
- The Rogue should be the audience surrogate. He knows nothing of magic, will say what the audience is thinking and will do most of his tricks based on common-sense.

The first Big Group Movie is a complete dungeon with each level defeated related to a great skill of each member of the group. The last battle should reveal the big bad behind everything that happened to the four guys and unleash some evil in the world that will not be solved in that movie.

The Horus Heresy.

Throw in Imperial Guard, but don't Shia Labouf the whole thing.

If you could imagine the Space Wolves/Imperium Secundus legions arriving to save Terra, it would probably evoke the same kind of feeling from the portal scene in Endgame.

Attached: Emperor V. Horus.jpg (1999x1464, 1.48M)

Movie adaptions of the entire Sam and max tell tale franchise.

Something in that pic is grating my autism. Shouldn't it say unintelligible instead of inaudible?

Family Guy, American Dad, Cleveland Show cinematic universe

>popular = good
has your soilent shipment arrived yet?

>popular = bad

How is your bull taking taking the news?

>What do you choose to adapt to the big screen
WARHAMMER 30K NAO NAO NAO

>and how do you do it over the next ten years?
First I hire the BEST screenwriters on earth for the scripts, and second the best (2D not 3DPD) animators in the universe. Then we basically start filming the entire prelude to the Horus Heresy - the very tail end of the Dark Age of Technology when humanity ruled the galaxy as literal demigods, the fall of Old Night, the rampages of techno-barbarians, daemons and uncontrolled psykers, then finaly the rise of the God Emperor and his Thunder Warriors as they fight across the whole of the world to unite the planet in preparation for the Great Crusade. Now don't get me wrong, I fucking love me some Text to Speech but fuck that noise for now. This series needs to be serious, epic and aimed at adults with script writing and animation that is A++ on every level. The whole thing should end with the launch of the first void ships going out to unite Emps with his sons.

Were it up to me though I would do this shit live action and on HBO.

Nintendo Animated Universe

Phase One:

Super Mario World: a light hearted adventure across Mario's world where he's joined by Luigi, Daisy, DK, and Yoshi to save Peach from Bowser.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Used to set up alternate universes and time travel to keep filns in their own lanes until needed. Go for a high fantasy feel.

Metroid: A moody and atmospheric Sci Fi action horror film.

Pokemon: I'd like to just incorporate Detective Pikachu, but whatevs.

Super Smash Bros. Master Hand as the bad guy. Save any big villain team ups for the second movie since that can really only work once (Bowser and Mewtwo would NOT play well with K. Rool and Ganondorf). Introduce Kirby, F Zero, Star Fox, and Earthbound characters.

Phase 2: Introduce some concepts as short subjects before each movie, like Game and Watch or Wii Fit

Donkey Kong Country. Spin off of Mario World. Introduce K. Rool.

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Earthbound

Warioware INC. Goofy heist movie where all the characters go after sone Macguffin but come together in the end.

Metroid II: Explore the possibility of Captain Falcon as a foil for Samus.

Kid Icarus

Splatoon. Jukebox musical

Super Smash Bros. The Subspace Emissary.
Have the big villain team up in this movie. Tabuu is final boss.

Phase 3:

Super Smash Bros. World of Light
Part one of the finale.

Super Mario Odyssey. Obe last globe trotting adventure.

Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Earthbound: Mother. Based off of Mother 3.

Star Fox.

Splatoon 2: Salmon Run.

Punch Out!!

Super Smash Bros. Restoration.

ace combat

The culture comes before the content.

I'm gessing that if it fails i get killed by that gun.
So i would do what Hanna Barbera did, a bunch of cheap animated series and some clone series, and then use the wacky races expy as a big crossover event.

The old sony boys. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro could translate well to the mcu formula. They are just as cheesey and do the mix of "let's make jokes and pretend the situation is dire". Possibly Ratchet and Clank as well, maybe Jak and Daxter.

Hanna-Barbera Extended Universe -- Space Ghost, Birdman, Herculoids, Galaxy Trio, Jonny Quest, Valley of the Dinosaurs, Dino Boy in the Lost Valley, Moby Dick, Mighty Mightor, Arabian Knights, Shazzan, Young Samson, ...you get the picture.

Power Rangers, and have the Shattered Grid storyline be the Endgame of the series. Have movies to set up the major characters from that story, not every single season, but the ones that play a role in shattered grid. Maybe have a couple of movies that are composed of shorter stories for the other teams before shattered grid.

Or or or you could fuck right off.

(No (You) for you, cunty)

??????????????

seething and sneeding

Basically a Cartoon Network Cinematic Universe, all building up to Fusionfall as The Avengers Endgame of it all

But I would exclude some shows, and it'd mostly be the classics

>Ben10
>Powerpuff Girls
>Codename Kids: Next Door
>Dexter's Laboratory
>Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy
>Samurai Jack

As some movies for example, and I'd get the original creators to help executively produce and consult on it all

I'll stop you right there, I'll take the bullet.

based

I could get into that desu

Redo TLA, except this time don't fuck up the most basic aspects. Split it up into 6 movies, 2 for each TV season. Copypasta the writing, character development, and plot beats directly from the show(if it aint broke don't fix it). Smaller sub plots and story arcs can be shifted around to pad stuff up, or cut all together.

>1st movie focuses on world building, fun fantasy action, etc. End with Blue Spirit as a mystery hook for next movie
>2nd movie focuses on humanizing Zuko, and painting a larger picture of the war, Ending with the Siege of the North
>3rd movie Introduce Toph and Azula, Anti-hero Zuko. End on The Library for a big action finish and the hook of Appa missing.
>4th movie is the Ba Sing Sai arc. Start with Drill, build with creepy mystery conspiracy, End on Cross Roads of Destiny
>5th is GAang in fire nation. Zuko and Azula bonding/humanization. Ends on Day of Black Sun, with the gaang totally defeated
>6th movie is the rest of the series

Time for the rule 34 cinematic universe

Attached: ED25AE20-7325-4F53-9655-EEAD90FF8BF8.png (1159x1500, 644K)

I'd take it a step further and incorporate other Capcom franchises.

Some ideas:

Final Fight - introduce Haggar, Cody, and Guy and have them take on Mad Gear

Street Fighter - retelling of the original Street Fighter featuring Ryu and Ken in the original tournament with Ryu defeating Sagat and giving him his scar, also incorporates elements of Zero/Alpha by featuring characters like Guy and Rose, set up Sakura as well

Street Fighter II - introduce Bison and focus on Chun-Li and Guile taking him down, Ryu and Ken are obviously featured as well as the Shadaloo bosses

Darkstalkers - set up the Darkstalkers in a non-tournament setting featuring Donovan Baine as the lead character hunting various Darkstalkers, Demitri is main villain and Pyron/Jedah can be set up later, set up Morrigan as a character who can cameo in other movies

Devil May Cry – retelling of the first DMC with elements of DMC3 as well, specifically Vergil

Strider Hiryu – retelling of Strider game setting Strider up as a character

Darkstalkers 2 – Pyron shows up and Darkstalkers face off against him

Street Fighter III – Bison is dead and the Illuminati appears with Gill as the head, Yun and Yang are the leads with Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li as supporting characters

The Vampire Savior: Part One – Jedah appears and begins collecting worthy souls of the Majigen, including characters from Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and Strider Hiryu

The Vampire Savior: Part Two – Capcom cast faces off against Jedah

But your question isn't really that good.
There's not much to fuel anything.
Just make them retread other properties to mash them into a no longer novel formula.
it's basically just asking "Okay that thing you like? What if it was a cartoon, that was like the MCU?"

If I had a million dollars I wouldn't give a fuck about capeshit.

Kingdom Hearts

2nd movie would be Mulan World for Chinabux. Third movie is the MCU.

Final Fantasy

I pretend to be doing another Spider-Man reboot for about a month, use a million or two to hire someone to kill the person threatening me and abscond with the rest of the money. Like hell im going to embarrass myself by trying to make a movie.

Battletech. We're going on a wild ride from the 3rd Succession War to the Jihad. You'll see characters grow old, die, their children, and everything to the beat of hammy space opera and giant robots.

I'll also use it as an excuse to train a new generation of 2D mecha artists before the last of the Japanese greats pass away.

Attached: Hanse and Mad Max.jpg (800x1164, 360K)

Who framed Roger Rabbit style movies starring myself and every hot starlet in Hollywood and some JAV/Porn actresses of my choosing. When I fuck them they turn into a real girl. The 2D/Live action hybrid turns into a graphic, unstimulated 3D sex scene halfway through.

Nickelodeon Action Universe.

Start eith a TMNT series, introduce Danny Phantom and XJ9 in episodes, have them all team up in a mid season finale.

Spin DP and XJ9 off into their own show

Include a TLA crossover in TMNT as a pocket universe.

Introduce Three Delivery as supporting characters in TMNT, basically their allies in Chinatown and preferred Pizza delivery joint.

Have The X's show up in an episode where they investigate the turtles before agreeing to keep their secret when they asisst in capturing Glowface.

Down the line have them all form an informal, casual team, with everyone betting communicators from Donatello

Final season, include a storyline where all the villains team up to try and divide and conquer.

All this happens in between regular TMNT stuff in their show and MLAATR and DP stuff in that show

Magic the Gathering

I feel like Worm could meet an adult audience's need for a GoT style grimdark interpersonal drama AND the fact that it's also capeshit could mean it's the perfect thing for the mass media right about now.

Of course it would need to be "Adapted," which I think should mean some serious changes to the S9 arc and just about everything that follows. Early Worm could hook people the way early GoT hooked people.

Dragon Ball Z

Start with the Saiyan saga end with the Buu Saga but rewrite a few things:

>Raditz survives and becomes good
>Gohan replaces Goku as the main hero in the Cell Saga
>Krillin has a nose
>Get TFS to write the banter.

Attached: bulma_and_goku___by_dbpictures.jpg (500x643, 75K)

Also Buu is more of a straight up bad guy. I'm getting rid of the whole multiple personalities and turning people into chocolate thing and making it more of a story about Gohan finally coming to grips with being the protector of the earth.

Not like it matters, it's not like Toriyama ever did anything interesting with Buu.

Neopets.
Start with the Hunt for the Battledome because that was when Maraqua was revealed and that’s a key universe location.

The real question is whether or not to make the Darkest Faerie or Dr. Sloth the main antagonist. The former definitely has the power, but the latter has greater lore.

Make Gorlix and Cylara be part of the space defense force that handles the Virtupets event, but keep them gone until Neopet v2 and return of Dr Sloth.

Neopets has a shitload of lore. bookofages.jellyneo.net/events/?sort=year

Elfquest

The Horus Heresy, the Endgame is Siege of Terra.

>Krillin has a nose
CAN'T LET YOU DO THAT

Attached: wolf64bb.png (90x89, 16K)

Mortal Kombat.
It sets up characters then goes into the first tournament as the series' Avengers.
And every film's main character is just Johnny in their costume putting on a voice unless he's in the movie too.

Fuck off, he has to have a nose. Where will I find an actor without a nose? I can't just get a regular nosed actor and constantly CGI the nose out of every single frame. That's way too much work.

You obviously didn't read the whole op you idiot

I misunderstood. I thought it was an animated franchise you turn into a live action movie franchise. Like the MCU turned a cmic franchise and comic book IP's into a live action franchise.

Nah, I'll pass then, I don't want to make cartoons into new cartoons.

Wholesome lads.

Attached: HB.jpg (321x157, 26K)

I'm torn on this. On one hand, I applaud the focus on the HB-actionverse, and an earnest attempt to be serious with this shit. On the other hand, you can't do HB without Flintstones, Jetsens, Scooby clones, and all the cheap dumb garbage they are actually known for

Attached: madman.png (905x740, 959K)

I wouldn't follow the MCU formula, but I would love to turn the SCP universe into a series of films. But I would much rather see it be made as a x-files, torchwood, doctor who type of series where you watch mobile task forces investigate and secure anomalies.

Prince of Egypt Style
Adapt everything from Paradise Lost to the Battle of Armageddon and the Final Day

Lucifer is an overarching villain present from literal to figurative forms

Everything is treated as Prince of Egypt was; with gravitas and deep character histories and growths instead of a simple diction retelling of the books

Feature deities of other faiths as demons masquerading as Gods and Monsters to lead the world astray

Several Phases

Phase I: Paradise Lost to Joseph

Phase II: Exodus to Samuel

Phase III: King Saul to Isaiah

Phase IV: Esther to Jonah

Phase V: Jesus Christ
Part I: Nativity to Lazarus
Part II: Entry into Jerusalem to Entry into Heaven

Final Film ties up everything painting the coming events of Revelations
Starts off with John the Apostle detailing the deaths of the Apostles and Paul;
Approached by Jesus to write down what is to come
Final moments has all the saved entering heaven and praising him just like he was praised when he entered Jerusalem before his death

Attached: The Bible.jpg (758x2177, 475K)

Fits pretty well to the formula, could have books 1-3 be akin to phase 1-3.

>at least 19 origin stories

As others have said, 30k or 40k would be great.

Besides 30k, a series of 1-2 movie stories set in the 40k universe would be amazing. No grand narrative (fuck 8th ed), just humanity's struggle against irresistible entropy.

>a long stream of movies offers no stakes
95% of movies have endings where the good guys win with barely any deaths on their side, and if they do they are minor characters no one gives a fuck if they die anyway.

Animorphs

Peter Parker is the main protagonist.
First movie starts out with him being a teenager reading comics about Captain America being a hero during ww2.
Movie mostly plays out like the first ramey movie only with gwen instead of mj and doctor octopus instead of the green goblin.
Movie ends with a newspaper article stating "the return of superheroes?"
second movie tells us of how wolverine joins the x-men. the movie tells us about the secret world of mutants. the government knows about mutants but tries to keep their existence a secret to avoid public panic.
movie is about magneto trying to attack new york with his brotherhood of mutants so that mutants come out of the shadows.
spider-man shows up during the final fight as well to help out.
3rd movie is about tony stark. it is more or less exactly like the original movie and takes place just shortly after spider-man. Spider-Man becoming a hero gives Tony the idea to name himself "iron man"
4th movie is a fantasy epic of Thor getting his hammer.
Basically Odin goes into the all father sleep which the ice giants use to attack asgard.
Thor and Loki are send out by their mother to the dwarf realm to so that they can forge thor his hammer. Lokis friendship with thor is underlined during the movie but Loki is a bit bitter at the end that Thor gets most of the credit for saving Asgard eventhrough tricked the dwarf to forge thors hammer.
movie is not scifi at all but classic fantasy.
5th movie is about ant-man and the wasp and is more or less a copy of those characters from earth mightiest heroes. Hank doesn´t want to be a superhero, instead he wants to help captured criminals. Cameo of Hank interviewing Doctor Octopus in prison. Janet starts out as Hanks secretary/friend of Hank who has a secret crush on Hank. Hank has feeling for her as well but thinks that a relationship is wrong since he is 10 years older then her.

animated epic of conan going from barbarian all the way to king

Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck as a trilogy of movies. Do not tone down any of its elements.

and for the cherry on top
have the entire universe crossover with marvel so you get Marvel Vs Capcom

Someone's gotta finish the Quintology.

completley original franchise

have really well done first movie

then "from creators of that well done first movie" is a seemingly unrelated second movie.

place subtle easily missed easter eggs in both that secretly reference one or the other

do a sequel to the first movie.

then continue on with movies that wax and wane in quality but never in style.
adding little references and ester eggs for movies in other movies.

other ideas include

mythology movies where the greek gods hint at hindu gods which hint at african gods
or maybe a multipart drama that fuses elements of those esoteric docs like baraka/samsara and koyaniisquaasty
and the red whit and blue trilogy
which explores why there are no more new ideas in art and entertainment.
would be structured like either or an apataphor, or like a recursive derivative,
or maybe a fractal.

possibly a world of darness series
hunters hint at vampires which hint at werewolves which hint at ghosts which hint at mages
or something similar like what the game secret world tried to accomplish being all myths and conspiracies and monsters being true.

reminder that the big crossover in 40k was with WFB in the end times, where the slaan i think saw some eldar spaceships or somejunk.
so i would just go 40k and fantasy movies with a big ridiculious crossover .

or maybe going further make a parody satire of ready player one, with all the franchises we love to hate
40k, EA,Bethesda.
make a 40k, fallout, elder scrolls, and call of duty and make those all cross over

The MCU formula is to make one good movie (the first Iron Man) and then complete unwatchable garbage for the next decade.

FACT

This means nothing. Popularity has zero correlation with quality.

How about we make an X-Men film series that doesn't reboot itself every three films? Follow the Dark Phoenix storyline or the Days of Future Past storyline and actually make it good. And make it animated in the style of the 90s cartoon. Worth a shot....

MK would be great
I could see it, but it would take WAY longer than ten years to tell the whole story
We have a winner!

Pull the trigger.
