>What is this thread? Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books. Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere. Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't). If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how. Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.
>Where can I find downloads for other comics? Warez forums/blogs, DDL-indexing search engines (like FilesLoop), torrent trackers (like WorldWide Torrents) and other P2P networks (like DC++). If a link has been posted on Yea Forums, you can search for it in the Desu archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links). If all else fails, just >buy it.
>Where can I buy comics? comixology.com/ amazon.com/ On the various publishers' webstores, and at your local comics shop.
>How do I download from websites that only give me .exe files? Untick the checkbox under the download button.

Things looked bleak for comic books throughout the 1970s because of plummeting sell-through rates. With each passing year, the newsstand became less and less interested in selling comic books. The industry seemed locked in a death spiral, but the Powers That Be at DC Comics had an idea to reverse their fortunes. In 1978, they implemented a bold initiative: Provide readers with more story pages by increasing the price-point of a regular comic book to make it comparable to other magazines sold on newsstands. Billed as “The DC Explosion,” this expansion saw the introduction of numerous creative new titles. But mere weeks after its launch, DC’s parent company pulled the plug, demanding a drastic decrease in the number of comic books they published, and leaving stacks of completed comic book stories unpublished. The series of massive cutbacks and cancellations quickly became known as “The DC Implosion.” TwoMorrows Publishing marks the 40th Anniversary of one of the most notorious events in comics with an exhaustive oral history from the creators and executives involved (Jenette Kahn, Paul Levitz, Len Wein, Mike Gold, and Al Milgrom, among many others), as well as detailed analysis and commentary by other top professionals, who were “just fans” in 1978 (Mark Waid, Michael T. Gilbert, Tom Brevoort, and more)—examining how it changed the landscape of comics forever (136 pages).

does anyone have star wars 66 and aquaman 48 files that actually open?

Ok, so which bad writing is the one deserving of hate?
I remember Yea Forums being incessed a while back with Unsolicited Opinions on Israel and some stupid t-shirt on a cover.

Here's a tip, change the extension, unpack it, and repack.
never had a problem because I always repack every comic I download because I like to delete the ads.
Nathan Flores
you know you can just open a comic up in winrar and delete the files that way without repacking them?
Gavin Walker
Yeah, but I prefer to unpack them to make sure what I'm deleting and such.

Question for you all. Every time a thread is archived, I have a really hard time finding the new one. Obviously, that doesn't happen when the "new thread nerds" user is around. How do you find the new thread without the link in the previous thread?

Apparently I am, thank you for pointing that out. How you doing, by the way?
You missed the part that he'll do it if you give him the money to rip it.
How do you think some of the series jdcox and kimiko have been doing are getting ripped? they're being ripped on commission.
Asher Jenkins
>You missed the part that he'll do it if you give him the money to rip it. I would if I could, user; it's just unfortunate that I'm currently a neet with little disposable income. I hang around /ic/'s artbook threads and shared the 2000 AD Script Book a couple months ago; not sure if any of y'all would be interested in it but, here it is:
you can do one book at a time, no one is expecting all dedededede to be ripped at once.

Hunter Gonzalez
Based. But seriously, they only had 4 more issues left, the last arc. Did they ever reprint it digitally?
Juan Morris
I don't think so. It looks like they only produced those two reprint collections of the first eight issues physically, and never did a third. Those "DC Comics Presents" collect the most random stuff that they want to reprint, but don't think a trade would be economically feasible. It also looks like the contents of those most recent (2011) reprints isn't cataloged that well.
Mason Rodriguez
It's a pity, because I'm reading the TPB and Mandrake's art is godly. Also, funny how the coloring looks better in scans.
Christian Martinez
Does anyone have "The Story of Sex" by Philippe Brenot and Laetitia Coryn?
>>never again thanks to fucking Bendis Jorge and Scott don't seem to give a single shit ( this was from last weeks Justice League after all ).
It's even MORE comfy w/o the text, but I really liked the 'Robot Gorilla' bit. DC ( and comics in general ) need to get back to Robot Gorillas, senpai.
>In the Flesh - Stories by Koren Shadmi, not on libgen, bookgn has no link.
Libgen has a Spanish version: En carne viva, Historias - Koren.Shadmi [jbabylon5] [CRG]
and BookGN hasn't simply uploaded new links for it since they dumped Filepost quiet a few years back, which means they must not get many requests for it, but if you can't get anywhere else, you might register for an account on BookGN and see if they respond to you - they haven't been responding to comments since 2017, but they may be doing it elsewhere and I'm frankly not going to waste time paging through their website to solve your search problems, when you could have figured that out yourself.

>Also, funny how the coloring looks better in scans. completely digital rips do sort of lose something in the translation. They are usually "perfect" in how the colorists originally did the work. Except, the colorists knew that their work was going to be printed on to paper that was shitty at times, and thus diminished in vibrancy. So without the slight tarnishing of the paper, colors look brighter than they were originally.

>10 days ago That's not really that long and I'm assuming he's not doing that as much as he used to due to the lack of people donating. There's a certain amount of work to simply uploading the current stuff. I'm sure if you donated you might get your request fulfilled as I saw that happen recently.
Kayden Gonzalez
don't those usually get ripped after they go on sale? unless it's KnightRipper, I wouldn't expect it, I think those are Salem?
Am not getting enough time since last year because of job and personal projects. I mostly focus on 0-Day comics only. Sometime I do requests instantly, sometime I do all requests in mass.
You can request right here and I will look right into it as i am online right now.
Well...if that's the case then the donation for his site is always gonna fall short of his target. Getcomics has always hit its donation target because it uploads stuff other than the weekly releases. And it's not mentioned anywhere on his site that one has to donate to get requests fulfilled. I have been following his site longer than I can remember. I think he has kind of moved on from uploading additional stuff. Elite was always reliable in fulfilling requests, that's why I go to him first.

I needed individual issues from a series, man. I had to skim through a lot to pick the issues that I need in particular. Just look at your request page.
Dude, do you really expect to be fucking spoon fed that much, especially on O-Day.
Point him to the fucking request, don't be such an asswipe
Both of them do not cover everything, there's stuff that ComicCodes mirrors that GetComics doesn't and likewise. GC doesn't do request and while he's good at re-upping stuff if ALL the mirrors are dead, he doesn't replace Mega and MF (or even losercloud) when those link goes down, if his proprietary link or magnet torrent, etc. still work.
Fortunately, his Zippyshare links seem to last a lot longer than anyone else, whereas ComicCodes Zippy's seem to die out pretty quickly.

Art is fantastic. The story is pretty good too.

Yep, at least a good third of them are still unripped, there were 51 books total for FCBD this year.
I think the (db) guy has ordered some and plans to scan them, but you gotta assume delivery wait time, plus some will definitely end up on digital at some point (like the Dear Justice League book) so no point in really scanning it, DESU, given the amount of time it takes.
Also, I don't know if those manga FCBD day books will ever be scanned or ripped, anyone know if those ever are, I don't pick those up so I don't remember seeing any before but that's definitely something I missed - I looked at some FCBD day pages on some of the download sites from past years and most are just 20-25 books with none of them being manga.

The War of the Realms looms — but how did it begin? Watch the Dark Elf Malekith’s plot unfold across these key chapters — beginning with his first appearance, his untold origin and his return to plague not one Mighty Thor, but two. When the Odinson is rendered unworthy, Jane Foster wields Mjolnir to fight the chaos spread by Malekith and his dark allies. A new League of Realms, the Norns and the Queen of Cinders all feature as Malekith’s power grows — and the stage is set for war!
Collects Thor (1966) no. 344; Thor - God of Thunder nos. 13, 17; Mighty Thor (2015) nos. 1-2, 13-14, 22 and material from Thor - God of Thunder no. 25; Mighty Thor (2015) nos. 4, 700; and Mighty Thor - At the Gates of Valhalla (Marble: 228 pages).
A fiendishly ingenious tale of treachery, tenacity, and tragedy, the acclaimed Grandville series concludes with its largest and most shocking volume yet. Graphic-novel pioneer Bryan Talbot fashions an anthropomorphic steampunk roller coaster of thrills, humor, and mystery. Wanted for murder and on the run, Detective Inspector LeBrock is the victim of a diabolical scheme engineered by gangland overlord Tiberius Koenig. But LeBrock is a fighter, and now against insurmountable odds the British Badger risks all to thwart Koenig’s plot and save Queen, country, and all he loves (Dark Horse: 178 pages).
I'll give them props for at least trying to give a cliffnotes version of this, because part of the reason why I'm not bothering with the event is because it entails reading Aaron's run from the start and fuck that.
>part of the reason why I'm not bothering with the event is because it entails reading Aaron's run from the start and fuck that. I actually read his Thor run right up until they relaunched it as whor and I'm still a bit boggled that they went with Malekith as that was, BY FAR, the weakest arc in the whole run prior to him being replaced by Jane. It was a transparently obvious cash-grab attempt at synergy with Thor: The Dark World at the time it came out.
Between that and the fact that Original Sin sucked as hard as it did I'm sitting this whole thing out as well.
