>Brazil
Wow! I can’t wait to be stabbed and robbed by a brown kid on a motorbike, Just like the real thing!!

>Brazil coming to the world showcase
user you can't drop that big a bombshell without a source

>you are only allowed to be in galaxy's edge for 4 hours
How will they know? magic bands?

The mouse knows

pretty much yeah.
it's a reservation system. your time is on your band, once it's up, they're told not to serve you.

is it true they will be testing out a new no singles policy at Disneyland this summer?

disney got caught a while ago asking if people wanted a Brazilian steak house in as a new resturant.

>the light saber workshop will be hidden as the first order owns the area
Hidden how? Are they just going to draw some curtains over the entrance?

>Go to Disney-Cal for the first time
>2 hour lines for everything
>Get told this is a "good day" for lines
>Only ride worth the time was incredicoaster
What a fucking joke, so happy I didn't have to pay to get in

Attached: 1558116823756.png (329x374, 299K)

well, it's "hidden" you have to pay for the password. the room is in the back of "a shop"

Video of Galaxy's edge aerial shots.
youtube.com/watch?v=oH1qukOr59Q

Yeah that was a while ago, it's been rumored for forever but I thought there was definite proof it's happening
I'm really interested if there will be a ride

That sounds stupid, but knowing Disney I wouldn't be surprised

>It's goofy doing the penis inspections today
I wanted Iron Man because he does the cool laser scan thing

Attached: rdj.jpg (454x418, 33K)

Last time I went I was confused by it, but then Buzz Lightyear came in and explained me everything. He was a really cool dude
Tbh it was the best moment of my trip.

Attached: 1554663055562.png (852x944, 70K)

I love it when they interweave it into the currents going on in their movies
>Go early February, back when we knew nothing of Captain Marvel and the Skrulls

>Get stopped by Captain America
>"Halt citizen!"
>"The Avengers need to inspect your penis, it's the only way to tell a regular human from one of those nasty Skrulls! So lets see what you got!"
>Drop pants
>"Aha, nice form, bit on the short side, but so was I at one point.... alright citizen, it's obvious you're not a skrull, head into the park and have a wonderful day!"

Frankly it was the best memory of the entire trip

>Most South American countries speak Spanish
>choose the one country that speaks Portuguese

>Wonders why Brazil was picked
user have you been to Epcot

>you are only allowed to be in galaxy's edge for 4 hours. after that, you will not be served and be kicked out by storm troopers.
What the actual fuck? I mean, it's a good way to keep crowds to a certain limit I guess, but I imagine people will be pretty pissed at this.

There's no great way to deal with the crowds and keep everyone happy.

Quality

Thoughts on the newly refurbished Phantom Manor?

youtube.com/watch?v=IC17J363DEA

Sad they got rid of some of the original music in favor for using Haunted Mansion music which doesn't fit this version of the ride as much, but I like the more focused theming and getting the Vincent Price recordings back is fantastic.

Attached: phantom-manor.jpg (800x400, 175K)

>mexico and spain already in the world showcase.
>how dare they diversify!

>Already featured in Mexico
>Won't be moved out for Coco anytime soon
>Is Disney's main Brazilian character, so he'll definitely get a nod when the Brazil pavilion comes
Move aside this is Jose's park now

Yondulas

>going this July
So fucking ready brehs

Best of luck with the crowds user

Any tips for the day? How early should I show up?

Attached: survive.jpg (1024x487, 31K)

It's been a long time for me so hopefully other anons can help you before this archives
Use fastpass wisely though if you get them, that can really help make your day

who the fuck stays in a bar for FOUR HOURS, much less at FUCKING DISNEY WORLD?

The crowds are always the worst part of the Disney park experience. Always. Run-ins with bitchy patrons always ruins what could've been a fun day. I would pay extra to watch them kick some entitled assholes out while in those shiny white uniforms.

>brazil coming to the world showcase
Disney wouldn't come to brazil.
So brazil come to Disney.

I wonder if they'll have a pizza place.

>4 hour time limit for Galaxy's Edge
Oh boy, that's just enough time to get halfway through the queue for Smuggler's Run.

This isn't a permanent fixture, right? Fucking Universal made two Harry Potter areas full of winding back alleys and cramped wizard shops perfectly easy to navigate despite massive crowds, no way Disney could fuck up what is likely a near billion dollar investment so badly, right?

Villains' day is amazing
>"Halt!"
>"You stand accused of being a Skrull! What say you!"
>"If that is the case, pull down your pants and submit to the inspection of Ronan the Accuser!"
>"Ah yes, While your human penis is puny, I stand mistaken Terran, proceed into the park at your own risk then!"

Attached: Ronan.jpg (1680x1050, 420K)

Pretty sure Universal had to do the time slot thing as well when they first opened the HP areas.

Y'know what, I'm not even gonna ask

Attached: RangoWhut.jpg (333x392, 15K)

On the plus side, monkey on a stick food carts!

>after introducing more single rider lines
>telling more wallets they can't come in

I doubt it.

... dumbass, served means even the ride staff will tell you no.

>disney pizza
*shudders.*
even the muppets pizza place shut down cause disney pizza sucks ass.

ITT shilling and shilling accessories

They brought the Seance and Ballroom music back really quickly.

Good job posting this in every parks thread

no its just for the first few months

Attached: 1540434109673.png (1440x1078, 1.31M)

Oh, did they? That's good to hear. The Phantom Manor music is one of my favorite musical suites of all their theme park music.

youtube.com/watch?v=GLkjsKcOKfk

did you hear about backdoor disney stealing from the haunted mansion?

Me on the right

We must help him for Iger's sake...

Holy shit all his videos and social media got nuked

>you are only allowed to be in galaxy's edge for 4 hours. after that, you will not be served and be kicked out by storm troopers.
If they don't say "i'm sorry sir, it's time for you to leave", i will be dissapointed.

>prior to visit all I hear is "dolewhip this" and "dolewhip that"
>nobody mentions this actual kino frozen treat

Attached: Le-Fous-Brew-sign-Gastons-tavern-new-fantasyland-magic-kingdom-walt-disney-world.jpg (800x534, 165K)

Are the steins super cheap plastic or do they hold up for a while?

They're awful and they went up in price because Disney. Just get the drink.

Only for the reservation period during the first month. After that, you'll be able to stay for as long as you want.

>Disneyworld celebrates Rocket Day!
>Come celebrate with us by bringing your own raccoon to the park to meet Rocket
anyone else here bringing their pet raccoon?

Instead of two rides, some shops, and a restaurant you make it a whole damn theme park like it should have been, instead of just a section of another park that, for some reason, you have to have separate admittance to get in.

are you fucking retarded? a new section or ride always gets flooded the first month.
guardians and frozen had a 5 hour wait the day they opened and they were just reskins.

I'm going to disneyworld for the first time in november. What do I do

How long are you going to be there for?

4 days

Only ever been to Disneyland. Not sure what I want out of this trip.

Well if you need to find a spot for masturbating in a public place on your trip, I can help.

I haven't used it to drink out of because of how cheap it was. It was being used as a pen holder but somehow made its way back into the cabinet. I hate how Gaston is just a sticker slapped on, not sure how waterproof it is since it's still on the cup.
I'm more disappointed that the last time I was there they got rid of the stuff pretzel bread with ham and cheese. Also I wasn't satisfied with LeFou's Brew the last time I had it than when I did the first time.

Spain is not

Im more hype because the saber shop will be selling character lightsabers

A noteworthy one are Ventress', which are REALLY hard to get

Sure ill have to scalp off of Ebay, but worth it

Attached: 1555761287137-550362414.jpg (640x427, 27K)

I don't think I'd ever do that at Disney but I'm curious as to what you have to say.

>Go to Disneyworld
>Furiously fap on slinkydog ride
>Attendant asks after the ride if I rode with my fappass or not
>Fucking forgot it at home
>Start running towards the park exit
>A member of the Goofy Corps runs after and tackles me
>For my punishment, I'm sent to the animation gulags and am forced to bring water to the animators and clean out their pissbuckets for 6 weeks

this is fake nobody likes that stuff
meh ive had lightsabers before the real experience is gonna be the build your own rc droid

bald faced lies user. they havent had animators on campus in years. admit it, you were forced to clean out the sex tunnels

i wonder if the environmental interactivity for the droid will be better than just having the saber

Magic Kingdom has been doing that for years on holidays and in December.

There's a really awesome handicap bathroom on location at the Contemporary, you can fully lock the door. Used it to wash up and nap in instead of paying full price for a hotel. Can't say much more.

you caught me
>scrubbing section 24891 in Quadrant 3
>Find out to my surprise that Eisner is down here
>Ask him for his credentials, as if he did not have any on hand, I was required to fight him to the death
>Thankfully he has them, he keeps talking about how it was that damned Roy that ruined everything and as his last act as CEO, he got lifetime pass to the sex tunnels
>have to wait for Eisner to finish fucking Minnie before being allowed to resume cleaning the tunnels
>He grunts Katzenberg an unusual amount of times as he grinds
>Nice enough to give me his card, told me to give him a ring when I get out
>Get out, give him a ring
>Secretary claims that Eisner has never heard of me and hangs up

Anyone else annoyed with the vaccine lines? I miss the days when just bringing proof you were vaccinated was enough.

I was there when that one family who bribed to skip the vaccine lines was caught by the immunodrones. They immolated that poor child right then and there....

I can't tell if this would be good or absolutely disgusting

I had a great time with my raccoon! I got him a Rocket costume from the Bippity Boppity Boutique afterwards, I can't wait for next year's Rocket day.

>>guardians building is bigger then the ball.
damn

These Transformer characters are really impressive. How do they work exactly? I'm assuming there's a camera in their head that feeds to the guy doing the voice somewhere else so he can communicate with the people?

>DC BTFO youtu.be/zHmL_r6OXUg?t=150

Get Disney Maxpass. I think it's $10? Might be $15.
Either way, it lets you use the app to get Fastpasses, which is fantastic for maximizing your Fastpass usage.
You don't need to physically go to the ride to pick up a pass this way.
Also, unlimited digital photos are included.

Dear god he's fucking annoying

It's good but not really as good as he's making it sound. I had it on a really hot day and it was pretty refreshing.

5/15/19: Patrick "Backdoor Disney" Spikes is responsible for the theft of Buzzy's clothes (and is somehow involved with the total theft of the character itself), and has been arrested.

Sounds uma delicia.

Maybe after the debut of ScarletVision.

If you'd read the artist's notes you'd realize he was just having fun with kids reactions to the characters. Ad that he, himself, despite being annoyed with the park, enjoyed seeing Mickey.

What? You don't need a paid app for your fastpasses. The My Disney Experience app is free.

hes talking about disneyland

You really have to pay for the Disneyland equivalent? That's fucked.

>disney got caught a while ago asking if people wanted a Brazilian steak house in as a new resturant.

Churrascarias already cost a fortune in the outside world. God help us, what Disney is gonna charge to eat at one.

You don't have to pay for the app but you can use the app to buy the pass

It includes digital copies of all photos taken by cast members in the park, which is a cool feature for couples cause you can straight up commandeer a park photographer to take a bunch of free high quality photos for you... and fast pass I guess...

You'll never know what you'll find in the Disney/theme park threads
Best somewhat common threads here

Fun fact: Peter Cullen was the first person to voice Mario
youtube.com/watch?v=Zyfayak2djo

Someone made a archive of his stuff on Twitter
twitter.com/BDDArchive

I'm actually surprised... again. Being when he was busted the first time, he had a mental breakdown when being interrogated by police over his phone, which is pretty fucking suspicious. And amazingly bounced back with more content and a well fabricated story of Buzzy and his how Disney did it just to shut him up. And here we are again. I'll miss the backdoor content though.

I wonder if anyone here ended up with any of the stolen props and costumes that were going around online.
I also wonder if Disney is finally as good as Universal yet.

Attached: b8.png (625x626, 66K)

Well it's coming to Florida in 2 years
Universal doesn't have any princess qts tho

also universal won't let you bring your raccoon

The brought back most of it after 3/4 days. Honestly, I don't really like what they did with Melanie's character, I would have liked better if she was still the one saving us by showing us the exist. Now it just feels like there's no "hope" in there. Melanie is forever locked up with her father, he has broken her spirit and she turned crazy in death. Nothing we can do about it anymore, right?

Universal certainly has had the better 2010s compared to IP Midway Mania world

>you are only allowed to be in galaxy's edge for 4 hours. after that, you will not be served and be kicked out by storm troopers

>PotC is based on the Disneyland version, so it's objectively better than the one in Magic Kingdom
>Haunted Mansion is in Fantasyland
>Even on the day after Golden Week, Peter Pan still had long lines

>Couldn't go to Pooh's Hunny Hunt :(
>Went to the Monsters Inc ride, it was a really nice experience
>There was a parade and when it went though Toontown, there wasn't a way to leave to either Fantasyland or Tomorrowland until it ended
Overall nice experience

> there wasn't a way to leave to either Fantasyland or Tomorrowland until it ended

Remember, you're here forever.

Can Iger fucking leave already so new park shit can be good again? Yeah Galaxy's Edge looks fucking perfect and everything I wanted Star Wars at Disney to be, but I'd pin that more on the Imagineers and their passion for such a well loved IP and less on the fact this is just a Star Wars section of the park. That's not to say it's been all bad under him, but the parks (Along with the company itself if we're honest) have lost a bit of their soul since he's been in charge. Also, I bet if based Lee Unkrich didn't stop them from turning Journey Into Imagination into some Inside Out themed thing the conversion would have happened forever ago.

Good untill the Muppet vision bit there only doing time slots at dl

No couples either unless it's black male on white female. Cucks are allowed on leashes.

>Good untill the Muppet vision bit there only doing time slots at dl
That's because Galaxy's Edge at Disney World isn't going to be opening for a while yet, you can fully expect the four hour time slot thing to come into effect when they open up at Hollywood Studios, too.

Attached: 1558033189799.png (894x773, 48K)

nothing says screens quite like rollercoaster

If Bob Iger handpicks the replacement to be like him we might be fucked
They were flat out planning to replace Figment and it took a couple higher ups and imagineer planning to get them to fuck off. They were really close

Isn't it the big Imagineer dream to get a redo of the original ride there, but executives were pushing for an Inside Out retheme for years?

star wars should be its own park

Attached: lucas 2.png (477x306, 76K)

I thought the rumor involved retheming Cranium Command?

Yes, that's about it
It leads to the Figment conspiracy: not only several key members of Disney using their power to make Figment more apparent and to halt Inside Out getting a ride, but imagineers also doing so many projects at Epcot so that ride can't be revampt until Inside Out is long forgotten
Many different little aspects of it

God bless the Japs for making Orange Bird popular enough to bring back to Disney World
Love that dude

Use fast passes or the parks are useless

I just went there a few weeks ago and it was perfectly manageable as long as you fast passed everything and planned it all out

For unorganized people, yeah the parks are impossible to enjoy

I wonder how many people fall into the later category tho

I have like 5,000 dollars to spend.
I'm staying at the contemporary for a week, which'll run me up like 3,500 dollars.
Plus the 750 dollars round trip plane ticket.
I've already pre paid for shit like Fast Passes, and the Dining Plans.
What should I go/do? I've only been to disney 3 times in my life and I was a kid. This'll be my first time going as an adult by myself
Also whats the best time to go do this shit? I want minimal lines.

idk. We planned out the entire trip. Fast Passed 3 rides at Magic Kingdom on day 1, animal kingdom day 2, epcot day 3, hollywood day 4, magic kingdom day 5. Then Universal and Seaworld. Each day also had a restaurant reservation at the park. It wasn't that hard.

You'll be cutting it very close if you only have $5,000.

>Pre paid for Fastpasses
Whut? Fastpasses are free.

Hopefully you Fastpassed the following rides as they have the longest lines:
>Magic Kingdom
-Space Mountain
-Splash Mountain
-Big Thunder Mountain
-Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

>Epcot
-Test Track
-Soarin
-Frozen

>Hollywood Studios
-Slinky Dog Dash
-Rock n Rollercoaster
-Tower of Terror
-Toy Story Mania

>Animal Kingdom
-Everest
-Flight of Passage
-Na'avi River Journey

Anything else and you've wasted them.

Someone let her know!

So when I head to Didneyland in July, the right plan would be to be there as early as possible, get rid of Galaxy's Edge, and visit the rest of the park after, right?

Of course. I don't know about Disneyland but at Disney World the park will open from 6am I believe and resort guests can get in even earlier. Something like that.

>Star Wars Land opens May 31st
>Disney throws a Grad Nite event the same day
Who fucking planned that?

Versus being shot up by a white hick in a pickup truck

Not since they introduced the fappass

>in order to get the 2020 fastpass, you will be required to be test riders for some of our more 'extreme' rides
what did iger mean by this?

>some of our more 'extreme' rides
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is too intense for me

DLR does something similar, but early access flip-flops between one park and another depending on the day. (DL is Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while the other days are for DCA) You also don't have to get up as early (based on the peak hours I'm seeing, the extra hour is at 7am)

s-source?

>half of the train's wheels cleared the gap and the train inverted itself

Attached: ztJheDx.gif (728x408, 565K)

Well we went to when the park first opened, usually were able to do 1-2 rides without waits and without fast passing as a result

We did:

Magic Kingdom day 1
>Splash Mountain first thing
>Thunder Mountain first thing
>Small World
>Buzz Lightyear
>Jungle Cruise
>Standard wait for Tea Cups (only ~20 mins)
>Standard wait for People Mover (barely any wait)
>Reservations at Plaza

Epcot
>Spaceship Earth first thing
>Frozen
>Soarin
>The Seas with Nemo (test track was closed)
>Reservations at Moroccan restaurant

Hollywood Studios
>Star Tours first thing
>Slinky Dog (could only book 1 Toy Story Land ride in the day)
>Indiana Jones
>Tower of Terror
>Muppet vision (was a short wait)
>Reservations at Brown Derby

Animal Kingdom
>Safari first thing
>Flight of Passage
>Dinosaur
>Everest
>Reservations at Yak & Yeti

Magic Kingdom II
>Mine Train first thing
>Barnstormer
>Space Mountain
>Pirates of the Caribbean
>Hall of Presidents (no wait)
>Reservations at Crystal Palace

And here's where I realize it's potentially a moot point since GE isn't going to be covered during the extra hour. Unless they specifically forbid a stand-by wait during this time, I'm already seeing all the early hour arrivals lining up for first dibs since the virtual queue only kicks in once the land hits capacity.

If anyone was curious, they've got partial listings for the Galaxy's Edge merch up in the Shop Disney Parks app, they also updated info on droid and lightsaber building.

For building, you can only take one guest with you, and you need to pay before you go through the experience. Lightsabers also get a pin based on whatever hilt template they chose. Droids are $100 and you seem to get to assemble them yourself, Lightsabers are $200 but seem to come with a lightsaber blade, but if they're like the ones at Celebration, expect the hilt cover options to all be plastic.

Pre-made R2 and BB-8 are $100, and are supposed to interact with the other droids and Galaxy's Edge just like the buildable ones. No information on if the posable C-3PO interacts with stuff, but it's listed at $60. Rex droid seems to not interact with stuff, but instead has a bluetooth speaker you can play music/whatever through, and it's $150.

Short blades (26") are $45, normal blades (36") are $50. Legacy sabers have the blades sold separately. Vader, Obi-Wan, Rey, and Temple Gaurd, are $110. Maul (half of his double saber), Luke (RotJ), and Ventress, are $130. Kylo is $150. Ahsoka is $200. Windu's was on display at Celebration, but not listed in the store (my guess is it'll be $130), no listing on Kylo's side blades, so it might be included with the lightsaber or be sold separately and just not have a listing. And again, if these are like the ones they had at Celebration, then expect all ones from or based on ones from the movies to be metal, but cartoon-based ones (Ahsoka, Temple Guard, Ventress) to be plastic.

Yeah, I think I'll just get a t-shirt

Guess $160 for a lightsaber wasn't good enough. Not surprised, to be honest.

Wonder how one will be able to navigate the rides with either the sabers or the droids.

Guests will be given wristbands that match their check in time to the land. Just like disney after hours events. Different times get different bands

Reminder you get more creative freedom making rides and stories behind them at Cedar Fair then Imagineers do at IPworld now

Custom sabers get a "carry case," doesn't specify if it's the same sheath you can buy separately (top shelf, next to Maul's saber). Custom droids get a cardboard box with a handle on top and a little punchout area so you can see/hear your droid when it starts beeping (think build-a-bear, if you've ever done it). Sheaths are $50, and they sell mini backpacks for the droids (one picture I saw made them look like they're pretty much just those girl purse-substitute backpacks) for $40.

awh fuck hate when that thing happens in comparison to the standard expectations of the other thing!

The worst part is how like 80% of amusement ride deaths are from people being fucking idiots, which results in extra restraints and "toning down" to keep the tards under control. People that do dangerous shit on rides are the same level of subhuman as drunk drivers.

Booooooooo

In spain there was a fat dude who noticed the the security bar didn't fit well cause of his big belly, tricked the employees to think that the bar was well adjusted. First drop and the dumb fatass went flying defiying all laws of physics.

Other dude got scared in a mad house ride, tryied to take the security belt of and leave and obviously he got killed. His family said it was the parks fault because they were unable to accept their son/brother/boyfriend was a fucking idiot

it should, in the trash

Based

In Magic Kingdom, there was a kid who fell into the moat around Cinderella's castle and drowned. I've always wondered how the fuck her did that. It is not a straight drop down into the moat from any of the fences, you'd have to tumble gently downhill to fall in. And the damn thing isn't even deep, so not knowing how to swim is no excuse. And any moron could hop the fence and have saved him in, like, 30 seconds.

The kid died, but if the Cinderella moat hadn't gotten him, you know SOMETHING ELSE would have, eventually. Like a falling pinecone or a stiff breeze. I really can't blame Disney for that kid buying it.

Why isn't anyone talking about the new universal coaster with 7 launches a backwards fall and a drop track?

From what I've heard you choose a personality chip that decides if the droid is loyal to the Resistance or the First Order. They react accordingly.

IIRC, there's also a chip that lets it go smuggler route.

Just wait until people hack their droids.

Looks to be a reasonable expansion of Disneysea, even if having two boat rides next to each other is weird.

I'll never understand the popularity of Peter Pan's Flight.

Is there actually any word on these Frozen rides being built across the world being lengthened and having their capacity increased? Seems like it'd be weird keeping the issues of the Epcot version

The parks' going to easily hit capacity. It will be a living hell.

who else is going to Knotts BASED Farm this summer instead of Disney to support original themepark creations?

In Fantasyland, maybe. I'm expecting the crowds to be at the usual spots on this one. Pirates, the Mansion, Tomorrowland, any of the Mountain rides.

I imagine the Saturday is going to be even worse. God help me, I'm set up to go that day.

I know, but can you let a man dream?

Attached: FigmentGrowingStronger.jpg (1024x850, 120K)

Not too long now.

I'd expect a new announcement for Epcot. They're not going to go to all that effort around the entrance as something that'll look nice 6 months after GotG opens, there'll be something else new.

DLP will probably get more solid confirmation of what's in Marvel land (Iron Man coaster confirmed, Spider-man leaked, Pym labs and Doctor Strange stuff left vague) and what's in the expansion (Star Wars and Frozen but there's a whole lot of suspiciously empty space)

Would be nice for Gigantic to be confirmed back on in terms of movies but I doubt it. They'll be unveiling the new Latin America thing they're doing.

>Disney already blew their spaec load on Galaxy's Edge
>despite having much more potential overall, the Marvel land won't be cosmic themed
>we'll probably just get a generic campus or something
Fuck
Also, I will shit a brick if Gigantic gets reconfirmed.

They're literally building a Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster and a space-themed restaurant in Epcot right now.

>For building, you can only take one guest with you, and you need to pay before you go through the experience.
I get it, but I'd want to look and see the options before I'd dare drop the money. I guess enough people will post pictures online to help give you a sense.

May as well have Greedo there, same thing

I know a person who works at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom. They're calling the Galaxy's Edge opening countdown "Doomsday Clock"

WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA

THE OLD LOGO WAS FINE

I really think overcrowding, especially with Galaxy's Edge is overall going to cause a negative effect on the park and repeat vacation visitors

I'm going after the reservation period actually. But I got three days planned with my gf - one day dedicated to GE, one for the rest of the park, and the last for California Adventure. Pretty excited.

I'm glad I got to see it before they stopped doing it. It was beautiful

god that logo is just so bland

>mfw Disney has started doing penis inspections
great now I can't go

Attached: hello darkness my old friend.jpg (225x225, 6K)

It's already a big issue. You basically can't ride rides without fast passes and pre-planning, that's fine but limits you to only 3 rides a day unless you want to wait hours for even basic stuff like the Dumbo ride. Even something as simple as high-fiveing a disney character you see is a 40 minute wait now.

Moreover it's hard to just physically stand or move around in the park anymore, especially in places like restaurants.

The fact they're building THREE new hotels: Star Wars (~2,000 rooms), Riviera Resort (~300 rooms), and Lakeside (~900 rooms) but very little in the way of park/attraction expansion is a recipe for disaster.

They need to start putting daily quotas on the parks and turning people back after a certain number.

Almond/rice milk smoothies, sort of. Blue is melon/berry flavored, while green is lemon/citrus. Hate to admit it, but I am genuinely curious.

The saturday of opening weekend. Expecting absolute hell, but it'll be worth it if I can see people getting booted from the land.

i wonder how many will actually stay past their reservation just to be the FIRST to get removed. so they can bitch and moan online about it of course

Oh god, please tell me there's a TR-8R meet and greet.

I haven’t seen anything set, but there’s not supposed to be traditional m&gs at GE anyway. Just mostly random encounters. But I’m hoping they’ll use riot control troopers for the land.

You think they'll let you snap a photo with them as they escort kicking and screaming retards out of the land?

No, I want to snap a picture, at a safe distance, drinking my blue milk, while watching them choke out guests.

Always preferred the bounty hunter shit, myself.

Attached: 1555272403938.jpg (872x872, 71K)

It would be neat if there were bounty hunter missions in Batuu. We already got helping the first order or the resistance or neither and just smuggling to fuck over both groups.
>bounty missions are just killing guests who stayed past their four hour block

>Disney added bounty hunter missions to GE but didn't tell anyone and kept them as ultra secret rare encounters that get you an exclusive pin or something
Would be irl kino

Literally all they need to do is build a fifth gate. They've got the land for it, they've got the money, they've got IPand original concepts out the ass.

>Bounty Hunter missions require you to capture the control points specifically of people who fucked up on Smugglers Run
>Get your Magic Band in the same area as your "target" walkaround character in order to "perform recon"
>scan designated objects for points
>First Order rewards you for gathering intel, gives you credits you can spend at Dok Ondar's for like a badge or something

Can you build a custom RX droid? Or are they all DJ Rex by default while the BB and R2 units can be customized?

I went in hoping for a customizable RX, but from what I've seen only the BB and R-series (R2, R4) can be customized.

>The C3-P0 toy that interacts with the land will tell you the entire story of Star Wars in Ewok if you press his center button
CUTE.

We will not get a fifth gate anytime soon, probably not within the next 15 years, barring major MAJOR increases in park sales in all four parks. Like it’s gotta be hitting 90%+ capacity everywhere multiple times a year, not just MK hitting cap during its usual times.
It is more cost effective to increase capacity, internally, and by marginal numbers, like with a new ride or land or hotel. Adding a whole new gate would spread guests out more, sure, but execs see that as a loss. Plus, WDW is already at a large enough point, where guests are literally at their limit to do most of the things they would like to do in time. There’s too much to fit in for the average 4-7 vacation, and as much as Disney would love for people to only stay on property, they know most of the guests here for 5+ days will also spend part of it off property, at Uni or, maybe Sea World. It’s not practical, by exec standards, to add another gate.

Will destroyer droids roll around and btfo everything?

Update on custom lightsabers. The external hilt parts you pick are die-cast metal, but they still look like how they've been shown off before (plastic-y, especially for the nature-themed ones and the ancient Jedi ones). Also it does come with one of those $50 sheaths, so price-wise, it's comparable with legacy sabers, you're just forced to buy the blade and sheath up-front.

Waiting for the boomer Luke cosplayer that just bums around GE all day sipping green milk and just randomly saying shit loudly to himself like

Those people were literally ground to death, holy fucking shit.

The first bit makes sense, but wouldn't a fifth gate be a potential way to entice guests to forgo UV, SW, etc. for more Disney?

emotional that the falcon ride is literally just mission space 2.0

Knowing how many people there are out there that struggle with basic game controls, I'd be okay if the interactivity is minimal. Imagine waiting six hours to be flight engineer to some assbag who's crashing every three seconds.

From the sound of the review I read it's more like an arcade game than Mission Space, which is "Do exactly as you're told when you're told or nothing actually changes because hah."

Like they even went so far to put "autopilot" buttons at the stations so you don't have to do the interactive stuff if you just want the ride.

Mission space is pretty baller though
and its supposed to be all about the experience, personally Im looking forward more to walking around the Falcon in general

And the real E-ticket is supposed to be rise of the resistance anyway

Here's what I gathered from reading reviews. Big thing is that whenever a button or switch has a border that lights up bright green, you're supposed to press/flip it, and everyone's got mini-screens that are different based on position; this is shit everyone does regardless of positions. Engineers (in the back), especially if their groups suck, will mostly be hitting buttons to fix damage done to the ship, and they've got the most light up buttons to press; their screens just show how much damage the ship has taken and how poorly you'll be "paid" for the job. Main thing for gunners (middle) is to fire their cannons whenever TIEs line up on their screens. Piloting (front) is split, chair on the left controls moving left and right, chair on the right controls moving up and down and pulls the hyperspace lever; their mini screens tell them when to move and in what direction. You can see an example here, at about the 58 second mark of what it looks like when it's telling you to press it: youtu.be/SowdvPryB2g?t=55

Who on Earth would want to be anything but a pilot?

This is all lining up with what I've heard, too. The screens giving directions seems like a good idea, I wasn't sure how they could implement guidance without breaking the illusion.

>preparing myself to get shafted as flight engineer
I'm gonna be the best fucking engineer in the galaxy. Godspeed, brave pilots.

>not wanting to be the gunner
Don't get cocky kid

Also, I made pic for people trying to decide what to choose for custom lightsabers, or really, if it's even worth it I'm heavily on the fence myself.

Are real cameras really that rate these days?

You gave off that CM on their day off vibe. Guests seem to hone in on that shit sometimes.

I’ve been dressed as a guest, talking to a cm friend in front of their ride that they’re working at right that moment, and had people come up to ask me about the ride. Or asked to take pictures while five feet away from a photopass cm who had no line.

I was a cm but not photopass at the time where do you work?

I'm not a cast member but I've been so many times it seems people get that vibe from me when I'm there. I think I move with too much purpose, I'm not gawking at everything.

I don’t work there anymore, but I used to do attractions at DHS, and merch before that. I’m merely a passhole now.
That’s pretty much it. If you don’t look confused or overwhelmed, you’re already ahead of 80% of other guests.

>that will never be your wife

Fellow Yuropoors, what are your experiences with lines in DL Paris? Last time I went in early December 2017 was a little too crowded for my liking. I remember seeing pretty low attendance in January around 16 years ago but I'm not sure what it would be like nowadays.

still awful, the park has shit managment, too many dead ends, and half the rides are down for most of the days causing huge congestion, I wouldn't recommend it until they fix the second park and most of the rides in the main park becasue they keep on breaking down

t. annual pass holder

Yeah, if you're going to do a DLP trip, wait until after the expansion is done.

How to process this feel?
I thought about doing toyko this year but then I realized it would make more sense to wait

This.

Obviously they want us packed in as densely as possible, but the insane crowds and ticket prices are already pushing people towards options like Universal.

You can't relax at Disney World anymore, and that's gonna bite them in the ass eventually.

>spend two hours waiting in line
>Stormtroopers come by
>b-but it hasn't been 4 hours yet
>no, but you also haven't purchased anything since you've been here so your timer moves twice as fast
>what do I have to do
>just stop by any gift shop in the next 2 minutes and buy another 4 hours
>2 minutes? I thought you said 2 hours
>we're just compensating for how long it will take you to get on and off Smuggler's Run
>forced to jump out of line and run to the nearest gift shop
>pay $200 for another 4 hours and another $100 for a lightsaber since the shop owner wouldn't listen to me unless I purchased something else first
>timer on my Galaxy's Edge© Ankle Bracelet™ resets back to 4 hours

There's lots of annoying little things that the insane crowds have caused. All the amazing cake places have closed in favour of seatless starbucks that can serve 400 customers an hour. I used to love chilling for an hour or so soaking in the atmosphere.

>that cake shop overlooking the fountains and lake at Epcot

RIP

You can't even plan holidays for the quiet times any more. The first two weeks in December used to be ultra quiet (and you got all the comfy xmas stuff). Now it's comparable to peak summer at a normal park. People are just going to start not bothering and when the attendence drops, it will plummet fast.

Basically, this is why I get the seasonal pass instead of the annual pass, because I don't want to be there during the blackout dates anyway.

You ready for Midway Mania: Spider-man edition?

The answer is no
Also, you guys remember how much they fucking hyped up Midway Mania for some reason?

Is that the one that has two options, and the more extreme option actually does shit to your heart and stomach?

Midway Mania is easily my least favorite current Disney ride.
Its a shitty wii game on a shitty wagon.

They wanted to pretend it would outdo Men in Black

I'm getting a droid myself, it's at least somewhat better than having a plastic stick just lying around somehwhere.

Dear God. I always knew Disney parks are expensive but I had no idea it's that bad. I live in Germany and there's a bunch of kinda Disney knock-off parks. Tripsdrill, my personal favorite, is small but large enough to explore for a day at least. A day there costs about 100 bucks or less. Of course Disney is more expensive but I didn't expect the markup to be 1000%...

Attached: IMG_20190523_035654.jpg (1080x477, 423K)

You can do it for way less then 5000, they are picking the pricey hotel, plane tickets and such

I have a genuine soft spot for Snow White's Scary Adventures. Also the first half of the E.T. Adventure.

Still need to see it post-refurb. Then again, any excuse to go to Knott's and find my way back to the grave with the beating heart. Or at the very least check out Ghost Town Alive.

>Not sure, but this Peter Pan ride sure sounds neat! Hope I can ride it someday.

youtube.com/watch?v=YpH1X6PmHdA

Ghost Town Alive is fucking sick. I'm 24, went with my similarly aged friends last year and ended up spending the whole day LARPing in Ghost Town, didn't do a damn single ride, just acted like old west detectives trying to solve a conspiracy. Love that park, it's so underrated and has so much charm.

Congratulations on being the only other person I've ever seen on this website who recognizes Tales of the Okefenokee.

t. Okefenokee connoisseur

Attached: Liable to scorn ya.png (1061x615, 1.36M)

how about the waterslide that regularly decapitated test dummies that went through, they threatened the teenage lifeguards with legal action if they reported injuries, and the owner of the park went to the home of one of the lifeguards and threatened their mom because they were at school because he reported it

then it turns out it wasn't designed or inspected by anyone with any theme park experience and was just made to set records, and all it took was a child being literally decapitated to find that out

Defunctland did a video about it

I think I know a little too much theme park stuff for my own good, it's way out there and I kind of love it. No way with how corporate the park is now would it get another shot and that's a bit of a shame
I have never watched Defunctland outside that one Nick Hotel video so I could get people to shut up about the CN Hotel failing

Why does anyone pay for any of the fancier hotels. I'm never there to use it anyways. Waste if money. Between parks and Disney springs I'm always gone.

I loved this movie and the book they made as well. Seems like everyone missed the point. But I also enjoyed john Carter of Mars and the lone ranger.

Have to admit it was quite comfy, and gave some badly needed optimism.

It did the opposite for me. It felt like a pessimistic nightmare barely got better.

>twentieth
That was in 2015. Next year will be 25 years

youtube.com/watch?v=gNTLC_uiGFA

Someone didn't watch the movie..

This sounds comfy

Only if I can suck it directly out of some space tittymonster's titties.

There was a lot of effort put into the themeing of the park. It has arguably the best Haunted Mansion (called Phantom Manor) and Big Thunder Mountain. The biggest difference is probably Tomorrowland being completely retooled into Discoveryland, a very brass steampunky version of Tomorrowland based on Jules Verne's books.

I need it. Latest reports say it's going to be in Hollywood and Orlando, but Japan is getting Zelda stuff. I'm ok with that.

Attached: dkc_rollercoaster.png (827x396, 146K)

I really hope they make it work. I remember a partial design for like a coffin-esque coaster car for Universal ages ago, for a potential Classic Monsters expansion. It was almost completely enclosed but they didn’t do it, because “people of size” wouldn’t be able to ride. And then they never expanded the monsters part of the park, at all either, so it didn’t matter.

Lol no I wish she did comment that she wasn't looking for a suitor at the time lol way to turn me down in character
Im pretty sure all the princess hairs are wigs btw
This is gonna be kino

Bored CM checking in. AMA.

Considering how many Brazilians visit and work here, why is that a problem?

Where do you work at the parks

When did Spain happen?!

It’s running sometimes when I walk to my car. I liked to watch them for a few minutes.

How's the fuck room?
Also have you been to galaxy's edge yet or are you stuck in fl

CM here, with experience in crowd flow and attendance projects.

Come at park open. Full stop. You are making a severe mistake if you don’t. Book constant FastPasses, and don’t do things that won’t have lines until after everything else has a line.

If you don’t intend to stay all day, then leave at or after lunch, and come back at or after dinner. If you need a nap, take one at the resort and come back.

11-5 is the worst time to be doing anything,

With a time limit and no FastPass, and a capacity close to 2000 an hour the line will actually be really short. You’ll be able to ride repeatedly.

>When did Spain happen?!
It hasn't. The world showcase is:

>United States of America
>Japan
>Morocco
>France
>United Kingdom
>Canada
>Mexico
>Norway
>China
>Germany
>Italy

And a little African themed refreshment area.

Magic Kingdom front entrance and Guest Relations CM here.

We’ve done what now? No.

Project team for the new rides. I sure as hell will not talk about that. Except really vaguely.

Worked a lot of attractions and other stuff prior to that.

I’m in GE every day.

Word on the campfire is that it'll be possible that they might implement only one ride per reservation period.

Do CMs still get the "Here's a blank fastpass for anything" passes like they used to, to give to guests? I got a couple of them years back, but I haven't seen or heard of them in a long time.

There are literally "People" who pretend Disneyland is as good as Magic Kingdom.

youtu.be/SaNKVhFex7s

I don't think it's that people are entitled. It's just too many people sharing a small amount of space. I wish the foreigners would stay home. They have no respect.

It's the best part of all the theme parks.

I used to love his channel. Too bad he's a thief.

Test and adjust? Or Imagineering?

Give us the goods man it's fucking 4channel

>but Japan is getting Zelda stuff
Does this mean USO and USH won't be getting anything Zelda-themed? If not that kind of sucks. I thought Japan is where Zelda was least popular?

I believe that's the case, but they haven't even broken ground in Orlando so it could end up there anyway.
I'm mostly just happy that they're giving DK some love, even with the Retro games and K. Rool's return it feels like the series hasn't gotten its due since Rare got bought out.

Attached: DonkeyKongCountry.jpg (869x600, 92K)

So....... why did Disney built a Disneyland in Shanghai if Hong Kong is a 2 hour and 30 minute flight from there?

It was an experiment if Disney could do Budget parks; smaller and cheaper then regular disney parks, sorta like Six Flags, but better quality.

The mouse operates on a strict basis of making money moves that are either insanely profitable or a huge waste of time and resources. There is no in-between.

Iger created his own Eurodisney with failing Hong Kong this way

Not convinced that pic would work in practice.

That is a fucking lot of strain to put on a steel beam

Based on my own experience they're able to do it digitally now. They just search for your party on an iPad they have on hand and then register the fastpass to your magicbands.

I’m loving the donkey Kong design but how much weight can this hold? It seems like a lot of stress is out on that been connecting the bottom cart and the real one on the track

>Remodel Tomorrowland to make it more retro future
>Without realizing that if they just left it alone it would look retro future on its own 10 years later.

Yes I am a bit mad. Original WDW tomrrowland has some crazy good looking late 60s futurism going on. The 90s interpretation of Buck Rogers they have right now looks pretty chintzy.

Doesn't help that when you first come in, the first two attractions are empty.

Discoveryland at DLP is worse.

2 closed theatres, Star Wars and Buzz Lightyear fucking up the theming.

Empty lots?
Truly a bold prediction at the future

Pretty damn late. It's been here for close to a week. Then again, it's not like there won't be others (mostly the insane coming to blog about their experiences in GE, and how they were booted by stormtroopers to the Goofy Time room)

We'll be back real soon
Well I mean I'm here regardless if this is here but still

I've thought about going but I've heard it's too crowded

>light and dark side lightsaber made/bought in the same place
Immersion ruined

I heard it was fucking terrible in attendence and especially if you want to buy or actually do something
So just your average day in Disneyland

>we might eventually get a rapids ride set to the tune of Gangplank Galleon

Ok since we're nearing the thread's end anyway, which one of you bought Buzzy or knows where he is; I'm betting someone here knows.

I hope Knoebels bought him because they actually give a shit about amusement park history unlike Iger's IPCOT

Going to Wizarding World for the first time next month. Fortunately/unfortunately, it's right after the new roller coaster opens up. Any tips? Only have two days there. Possibly just one, since plans aren't definite. Should I buy a $50 wand?

knoebels is based for sure and might be the park ive had the most fun ive ever had in a single day but what would they do with him?
the new coaster is confirmed to have a single rider line so thats probably your best bet

Make it 4 steel beams on both sides of the cart and reduce the vertical distance, keeping the illusion hidden with darkness and magic and I could see it working.

Based, and dare I say, redpilled.

Get the express pass if you can manage. It's unlimited, I rode Spider-Man, Gringotts, and Simpsons like 6 times each last time I was at Universal.

It's tempting. Unfortunately the friends I'm going with are skittish about the money. Understandably so since it ain't cheap, but I figure might as well maximize the opportunity since we'll never get a chance to go as a group again.

thanks brah

I can't wait for it to malfunction and decapitate someone.

What a shit 500th post for this thread, you can't even say anything good about Knotts? Or their new rapids ride? You fucking cock gobbler.

To anyone going on vacation soon, enjoy.

Attached: disneyland.jpg (450x300, 55K)

>Does this mean USO and USH won't be getting anything Zelda-themed?
USH will probably get the shit end of the stick as usual due to space issues, remember that they had to tear down the Gibson Amphitheater to make room for Harry Potter. But if The Mummy closure is true along with the confirmed sound stage closures then I can see more space being given to Super Nintendo World.

Honestly, themes in parks do nothing for me beyond a small initial charm. I'm really only concerned with the quality of the coasters.

>t. Brainlet

>Yea Forumsmblr not knowing about penis inspection day
I knew half the posters here were newfags, but that's something.

You have no idea how theme parks work and how actual quality ones have standards

That's fair, I can appreciate it. But Knott's theming is WED Works originality teir. And they have coasters too! It's like the best of Disney and Sixflags

Too far from me. I live near Kings Island and Cedar Point.

Nah it'l just get deleted, wait a few days.

>all these posts about how the DK ride system looks impractical
So do these anons just not know how Forbidden Journey works? Because it's practically the same ride system of "robot arm supports vehicle with passengers".

Sorry, got bored and left. I’m I hadn’t heard that but maybe. That would suck.

CMs were never supposed to get those, so they steadily restricted them. Now they mostly don’t exist, and it’s all virtual. I had a few because I thought it was a perk, then my friend got fire for having some.

T&A

This is accurate. We’ve even taken attraction options off of no strings attached forms.

These threads are best when there's space between them. Too many too quickly and they never gain traction, and also get deleted.

They’re dumb. People on a message board think they know as much about design and engineering as actual engineers.

>CMs were never supposed to get those, so they steadily restricted them. Now they mostly don’t exist, and it’s all virtual. I had a few because I thought it was a perk, then my friend got fire for having some.
What did they exist for, then?

Forbidden Journey is hydraulics based, dk would be a static boom. Gigantic difference.

Guest recovery.
