Hirsch is levelheaded enough to realize that Gravity Falls season 2 had a bunch of narrative fuckups in it and wrote an epilogue graphic novel to specifically address and resolve those shortcomings (Pacifica's character development getting ignored and her getting shit on for now reason at the end of the series, Mabel being a horrible selfish person and nobody ever seeming to acknowledge it or hold her accountable for her behavior, etc.). That was pretty based of him.

But he'll never express any viewpoint that runs count to the narrative that keeps you "in" with the Hollywood/LA scene. And he'll certainly never voice any opinion that hasn't been approved by Dana, first. We can only expect so much of him.
