Not that poster/op, and I don't want to argue your stance. However I would like to put forth how clumsy the show has been in telling this story and making its point.

Historically, monsters did eat humans. Magic was the equalizer that put an end to that.

The issue is that the show takes sides. With a single edict, Star made her entire people homeless. People who are generations apart from the first mewman immigrants, who've known no other home, invested in the land and built infrastructure. They have a claim, they're entitled to fight for it.

These are fair points. The question is why, if all of these things are justified for both sides, would Star betray her own people and cause untold levels of misery?

The only way this show could justify taking Star and Eclipsa's side was to conceal and ignore the real logical consequences of Star's actions. I don't mind that a cartoon wants to tackle such serious topics, but serious topics come with a responsibility to be intellectually honest. This is where the show fails.

The position the show seems to take is
>monsters do bad stuff, its because they're oppressed
>mewmans do bad stuff, it's because they're selfish, greedy and stupid

Remember Moon's Mother got killed by the leader of a monster army. A couple of decades in nothing for a person that has lived 300 years.
