Same reason I still buy physical video games and Blu-Rays. I much prefer physical media in general, but especially when it comes to books.

This and the pleasure of holding something in your hand when you read. I pay for a lot of digital comics to own them, to support artists and writers, and I also spent $500 on a new iPad, and I'll still go to my library or to a pal's house and borrow trades to read the physicals.

Yes, I like books and physical collecting more than digital collecting.

I like having the physical item. Scans are fine for material that's expensive or OOP, but having the real deal is better.

I really wish I could support authors with Patreon or by buying their comics, but if I started to give a dollar to every person I like I'd be way off my budget, I need every cent for food and art supplies.
