nonsense. All that is superfluous if the show is well-animated and directed. The second episode of Samurai Jack season 5 is possibly Genndy's best work, and it's almost pure action.

Samurai Jack has enough setup to give the action meaning. Story doesn't even need to be the main thing, but if an action scene wants any staying power it needs to give the audience at least some context as to WHY the dudes are beating eachother up.
