I choose Final Space because it blows my mind how Yea Forums can continue to care about the garbage fire that is "Close Enough" when they can just rewatch 2 in the AMPM

My niggas...

where is the season 2 trailer I can't stand the suspense anymore.

How was the Valerian movie? I finished reading the comics and was wondering if it was worth watching.

Prophet was good
some Alien comics are good
Caliban was good.

There's two types of shows; shows that don't exist, and shows Yea Forums hates

It reminded me of something you'd see on the Disney Channel 15 years ago.

I honestly haven't read the comics but the movie felt very bloated and unfocused, like they tried to shove way too much shit from said comics into it. Also the two leads were annoying, I'm hoping they aren't like that in the comics.

You know what would be really cool? A space opera shared universe. Like, a line of different comics set in a space opera setting.

No Jerry Lewis reference
0/10

Isn’t that technically what Star Wars is? I mean, the comic did debut a month before the movie and all...

Right, so perhaps someone who isn't fucking retarded could perhaps point me in the direction of an original COMICS space opera shared universe. That'd be great. Assuming such a thing even exists.

Terrible. Its pacing is all over the place and it feels more like a movie pieces together from episodes of a tv series.

Sci-fi comics are barely a thing. For the most part, you have to get lucky and hope one of the big two has a decent cosmic book out, which they almost never do.

>Sci-fi comics are barely a thing
Wut

>Hurp, I'm just gonna pretend there isn't a massive market saturation that's lasted for decades!
Fuck off, delusional hipster. And before you even start, nobody gives a shit about your indie trash, so fuck off.

Wow, someone sure got pissy fast lol

Hey, notice how this thread is dead as shit? That's because nobody cares about what few sci-fi comics exist. Why is that? Because nobody knows about them due to the saturation of capes. Excuse me for pointing out a basic fact.

Intro is kino. Film itself is visually great but....eh. It was kind of all over and the two leads didn't have much chemistry.

So angry lol

I'm a sucker for (non star wars) space opera, wish there was as much of that as capeshit.

what about gaslamp space opera

>gaslamp space opera
never heard of that sub genre, got an example?

John Carpenter's Tales of Science Fiction. Expect gratuitous body horror, and with Carpenter involved why wouldn't you? Sadly a lot of the stories seem to rely too heavily on variations of The Thing, though maybe that's just a sense gained because everything in space will absolutely fuck you up on a biological level in these stories.

That user is being an obtuse retard. Gaslamp space opera is not a thing.

Does a non-anime, non-comedy sci-fi cartoon for adults even exist?

you're not a fucking thing >:(

love death and robots

There is more Space opera being printed today than capeshit. Image prints it By the tons.

The explorigator

The explorigator is fucking older than father time and it was written by goddamn idiot. Fucking regular opera was probably a new thing when the explorigator came out. That shit is not gaslamp space opera because gaslamp space opera isn't a thing you absolute crab-fucker

Good point. There's a couple of those that could potentially make good series.

so literally just cosmic marvel then
