How? Why? He was great in his few appearances in Spider Man TAS. How could an entire, multi year saga have not even one good, redeeming comic? Especially considering Spider Man had been consistently at the very least good up until that point.

He had one or two good stories in Unlimited.
Most of the rest is a blur, but there's about a handful more, not counting mediocre but vaguely enjoyable schlock like Planet of the Symbiotes (Michelinie write the best Ben) and the Spider-Carnage arc.
Also you say "multi-year" as if it was substantial. It was only two years. They just pumped out a fuckload of comics.
