Because killing half a population is all he knows.
Because you fuckers can't elaborate on that. I mean what, more corn plants on every planet or something?
Why didn't he use the gauntlet to create you a better argument?
Are you crazy? It should have wished for world where everyone lives happily.
That would solve the problem
why didn't he turn himself into a fucking
>why didn't the villain create a perfect utopia
Why didn’t he just create a world where people didn’t need resources
Why didn’t he just mind control everyone to waste fewer resources
Because infinite resources would require infinite space, unless you made something that just keeps regenerating itself "endless resources" to last the rest of eternity would fill up all empty space in the universe.
because the mortal mind cant fully comprehend the infinite. Even with the mind stone that shit corsing through thanos and hulk is so much a mortal mind can bare. Even the mind stone is too much for for the mortal mind.
Why not use the guantlet to lower the fertility or sterilize half the population? It would have been a far more merciful method. Plus I think it'd be funny to have Thanos be a Bob Parker of the stars.
But I thought the universe is infinitely expanding?
comic book logic man, not all of it is based off reality
current projections are that after a certain point the universe will his critical dark mass and the forces behind atomic bonds will collapse, causes interaction between particles to cease and everything will get dusted on the quantum level and everything will cease to exist
Because killing half the population of the universe is fun
Let's be real here, how many Anons I said Anons, not s o y drinking faggots here would actually create infinite resources over giving everyone a coin toss for their lives?
They were determined to create a leftist eco terrorist out of Thanos and leftists never use logic.
Why didn't he use the infinity gauntlet to make infinite infinity gauntlets/stones so no one would ever want for anything again?
I’d create infinite resources
Why didn’t Thanos just use the time stone to save his planet?
Why did he dust everyone instead of just making 50% of the population sterile? Seems more humane.
Why didn't he just make everyone smaller?
This
cloning
Who the hell clones more people than they need?
Neither this, nor the "reduce by half" plan really work. Making more resources would require a lot more logistics, and more and faster uses of the gauntlet.
Reducing the populations by half would cause many animals to go extinct,no longer having the numbers to sustain themselves, cause ecosystems to completely crash. And if they could survive, our world population was at post snap levels in 19 fucking 70. Thanos would ha e to reuse the stones again on 50 years time and he fucking got rid of them.
Create a twin planet for every inhabited planet with nothing but plants and beneficial microbes and insects. Bam, 100% more resources for every civilization:
But why stop there? With a bit of fancy mathematics (I'm sure the Infinity Stones are capable of that) you can have two, three, ten, a hundred more co-orbiting planets.
Considering that Thanos has a motherfucking spaceship, he should know that.
Sadly, comic book writers know shit about astronomy and physics.
This guy got to 20-30 and he didn't even have an infinity gauntlet.
Why didn’t Thanos just challenge the Avengers to a dance off?
people who want families
OWIE ZOWIE
Why didn't he altered the memories of the survivors so that they would forget about his genocide and take things for granted?
Because he was butthurt about his planet not wanting the idea of killing 50% of the population.
He was pretty stubborn about it genuienly believing it was the only way.
Because he saw how that worked out for Ronin
Y'know, it must have pissed off Waifu Death to receive 3.5 billion people all at once.
He would die because its too much of a large escale thing. Killing half of the univ erse is LESS than creating infinite.
Like every character besides him died using the Gauntlet, and Hulk fucked his arm.
Then there is the shitload of small logidtic details: where tobout infinite resources? Which form they take? Whho is in charge of distribution?
It must've collapsed a few societies to get an extra 3.5 billion people added to their populations after 5 years.
Why do the not-Infinity Stones suck so muic in this universe?
>the MAD Titan
Especially since five years would be enough time for some societies to repopulate to their original numbers. Imagine a sudden increase of +50% when you had just finally made it back to 100%.
Because he didn't want to create infinite resources. He wanted to kill half of all life.
How did thanos know the stones would let him wipe out half the universe?
The weak die, the strong survive!
Or rather, I don't think Thanos really cares about animals going instinct? What's important for him is that sapient life learn not to ruin their planet or whatever. You're kinda overlooking what having half of everyone on your planet seemingly die would do psychologically to the survivors, and not everyone would really know about the exact cause for the disappearances. Someone is bound to take it as some sort of divine sign or whatever. Lots of people would die, sure, but the hell do you think Thanos would care about that for? People will survive regardless. As much as the movie showed you all the people who got depressed or traumatized by the incident, the world is still going well enough for kids to happily approach Hulk for a selfie and play Fortnite online.
Things would have been fine and the wheels on the bus would keep on turning. Even better, given Steve's comments about the whales swimming closer to urban areas now with there being "less pollution". It was never a question about whether life would be fine; it would have. Not for all, but sapient life would be fine, especially the advanced civilizations. The problem is that people were erased from existence and a lot of people were deeply scarred by that experience.
did the universe really NOT benefit from the snap? sure people who lost someone would be sad, but having half thr population must have had some positive effects. Less pollution, less crime, less wars etc.
Exponential growth and use. "Doubling resources" has always been a retarded argument. No, that would not solve anything. In fact, that would just accelerate decline as people's attitudes would not change. The greedy will grab for more. There's not going to be some "equal distribution" movement just because "resources" got doubled. You didn't even consider how pests and vermin could thrive even more, so who are you to go around with such a high-and-mighty attitude.
>He would die because its too much of a large escale thing
First you don't know that, you assume. Second, doesn't matter if he dies, he doesn't want to live anyway, he just wants to save the universe.
Time is a finite resource. It can easily run out before then or at this very moment.
Why did he try to do a snap a second time when he could have just dusted everyone the instant he was holding the glove?
>You didn't even consider how pests and vermin could thrive even more
Did I not specify that he's going to create those worlds with ecosystems that are already populated? Pests and vermin can't overtake the local population if it's better adapted to the local ecosystem.
Regardless, your argument cuts both ways. Reducing the population by half will create disorder that will cause wars, famine, plagues. In the chaos the powerful will grab even more power.
Adding more worlds prevents this. Look at the success of the first colonists of America. They had a "blank slate" (let's ignore the natives for a moment here) to create a better society, and they kinda did.
Creating another planet, or two, or ten for every sapient race will do far more good than killing half of all living things or half of all members of each sapient race.
Did Thanos remove half of the insects and animal life on Earth as well?
If so, that raises questions about how ecosystems were changed. For example, what if Thanos removed more of a preyed-upon species than its predator? The former would be hunted to extinction without the numbers to repopulate properly, and after some time the latter might die of starvation if that prey were their primary source of food.
Removing death from the story is outright retarded.
No matter how you look at movie thanos, his plans were fucking retarded.
What's even the point of culling 50% of the population if you don't keep control afterwards? The humans population can double in size in a century if there aren enough "resources"
Also not accounting for the species that are already way over 100% resource capacity and those thar arent even close. Why would both groups be treated equally?
He snapped and literally he himself and gauntlet fried. If erasing finite amount of resources fries him that much, how the FUCK does he can make infinite resources? You don't.
>Create a twin planet for every inhabited planet
COUNTER EARTH
HIGH EVOLUTIONARY
Why does a gardener trim a bush, or mow a lawn? It's just going to grow back anyways.
If that were the case, Thanos would have kept the glauntlet to keep "trimming" the population. Thats not the case.
>First you don't know that, you assume
It would because infinite resources need infinite energy.
Seriously nigga, why you think that Hulk got fucked up and Tony died? They couldn't hold the Gauntlet's power in that escale.
>Second, doesn't matter if he dies
His actual olan was to retire, and he is pretty aware that he wouldn' t have infinite strenght to create infinite resources, so he would die for nothing.
why did a single user respond to this thread?
okay well, its an infinity gauntlet, not the infinite power of christ. you saw what thor's axe did to it. it has limits.
RIGHT IN THE INFINITY STONES
I'm just saying if you have something that's literally a power glove that could warp/alter reality and the best thing that you can come up with is erasing half the universe that's just a lack of imagination.
