This nigga...

I haven’t read any DD since that one retarded hack Soule replaced Waid. Has it gotten any better? Is Murdock a defender again, or prosecutor? Relationships?

the "I dress like that because I'm blind" meme
never gets old

It has definitely gotten better than soule

Good, I’m glad to hear that.

Can a car door really be used as an anti-bullet shield?

No, it's basically just a sheet of metal, it won't stop shit. There's a reason why they tell you to take cover behind the engine block of a car if you get involved in a shooting/shootout.

I know that Iron Fist has killed before, but have Luke or Jessica been shown killing someone in the past?

>It's over. I'm spreading the word.
Since when is Spider-Man considered an authority figure in the superhero community?

Like I know I'm being pedantic, but who the fuck is Peter gonna call exactly? He's pretty much the only major hero at Marvel who still adheres 100% to the no-kill policy, and to be frank he's got no fucking room to judge Matt for accidentally killing someone when he himself fucking punched a woman's head off on accident once.

Since before Brand New Day happened. It's easy to forget since we've had a decade of shitty comics and dumb fans who think Spider-Man should be a joke.

>hey guys, so, Daredevil is done. if you see him, beat the crap out of him
>fuck off, Otto

So, does War of the Realms happen before or after this story?

Spider-Man taking a leadership position, get the fuck out of here.

can't Matt get someone with actual authority to chastise him.

I wish that Spider-Man and Daredevil knew each other's secret identities again. Especially the fun conversation when they both realize they used to know them.
>So how'd you make everyone forget?
>Doctor Strange used the same spell that made everyone forget about the Sentry, you?
>The Purple Man's children used a machine to command everyone on Earth to forget that I was Daredevil.

the writing is pretty mediocre but the art is gorgeous

I mean, what even would he tell them?

>Hey Avengers, Daredevil killed a guy on accident so we've gotta go gettem!
>"Every member of the team has killed at least once, and most of us did it intentionally, kid. Call us when there's an actual problem to deal with."
>Defenders! Daredevil's gone too far and accidentally killed someo-
>"We know and we don't care"
>Hey Wolverine, Daredevil's gone too far and accidentally killed someone, we've gotta sto-
>"Didn't my friend manage to trick you in to punching her to death that one time?"

>Whiskey is called Danny Ketch
top kek

that reminds me when are we going to get a Wolverine and Spider-Man team up, have they interacted in War of the Realms?

Best Buds reunion can't come fast enough.

Does Spidey know that Strange straight up murdered people before?

>>"Didn't my friend manage to trick you in to punching her to death that one time?"
That's probably the accidental murder that Spider-Man mentioned this issue.

Remember how the defenders straight up said “you can’t keep us in a prison, so bye bitch” after the events of the order?

Who did Peter kill?

Charlie, a friend of Wolverine who wanted to die, so she pretended to sneak attack him, knowing full well that Spider-Man would think that he was punching Wolverine and thus wouldn't hold back.
>marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Spider-Man_Versus_Wolverine_Vol_1_1

>his guy's
Jesus, this is the very first balloon
>Devin Lews, editor
My ass

I'm surprised that Marvel didn't even try relaunching the Defenders after Bendis left.

They had a "The best defense" mini with the OG4

Luke has definitely killed guys -- in the "Early days of Batman" sense, where a dude "falls" off a building or into a vat of industrial lye, or, you know, he slugged them so hard that their necks broke, or something.

Attached: l8IWBiA.gif (432x428, 3.07M)

Basically no one did besides himself and Rintrah

Nah, they were innocent

Peter needs to get off his fucking high horse before he cracks his tiny little noggin'.

bUMP

>Hey guys, you know the local ninja that once managed to make a zombie pagoda of other ninjas appear in Hell's Kitchen? He's getting shit-faced now on whiskey and painkillers before going out to stop crime. Keep an eye out.

Vastly superior to soule, he’s kinda between jobs right now but he’ll probably go back to a Defense Attorney position now that this arc is over.

I liked it, it's been a while since I stopped reading DD.

I always figure out Zdarsky was just a meme writter.

Not at all. It’s a common misconception in fiction that cars are bulletproof- they aren’t, most calibers rip through them like butter.

Nah, the sandman arc of his run on spectacular genuinely surprised me with how fantastic it was.

A few people, on accident mostly, but still.

>Matt quits....AND THIS TIME IT'S TOTALLY, SERIOUSLY, FOR REAL!

Yeah yeah. I love this series and it is one of the few who so far has had a pretty consistently good run but this is getting annoying. Thanks for the story time OP.

I love how Checchetto draws Spidey.

Zdarsky just has a meme personality, he's actually a surprisingly competent writer.

tiny, spider hands.

>I always figure out Zdarsky was just a meme writter.

That's mainly cause his rise to fame was being funny at comics places. You can see the change when he was doing Spectacular Spider-Man.

so, how come he's never confronted Cap or fucking WOLVERINE over this same shit?

When was even the last he appeared?

In Daredevil's case, it seems to be more that he is no longer in physical or mental condition to keep it up, he's sloppy.

He showed up in Dan Slott's FF, along with every other character who has ever been in the FF.

Yeah, it’s basically an intervention for his sake.

that's middle days of Batman in the early days he was a straight up psychopath machine gunning niggas down. There's a famous issue (one of the first btw) where he simply hangs a dude in the batcopter's rails and flies around until the criminal's neck breaks.
I mean at least SnyderSupes is quick and painless.

His issue isn't that Matt killed, his issue what Matt did afterwards. I swear some of you can't read dialogue.

So Zsdarsky is on fire right now it seems.

>I swear some of you can't read
Just leave it at that.

This was a heavy issue, but that third panel made me guffaw.

They aren’t in obvious mental and physical duress.

Is Waid really that much better tho? Couldn't stand his run, at least compared to Soule's.

Bumpo

It started out fantastic- then it went to shit hard.

Waid started out great, but he ran out of ideas just over halfway through and it gradually went from meh to shit

Haha, I would argue that's what Soule's run felt like. Waid's run just failed to grasp me at all, except a few certain arcs like The Purple Children, and Ikari. The majority of it was just bleh, and all I hear is people loving his run and I have no idea why.

yes, Soule fucking sucks

Soule's run started shit and ended worse, like a long snake of constipated shit that's really sharp at the tailend.

RIDING OFF THE RAILS-

there are people after this who still think zdarsky shouldn't be writing amazing spider-man

Peter acting like a grown up superhero for a change?

Peter is now acting like a grown up superhero for a change over being his single ladies man dude who lost his memories of a family with MJ?

Are you okay?

I haven't really read much Marvel outside of Alias/Jessica, Luke Cage, X-23 and their stints in Avengers and X-men respectively in over a decade. Which heroes are actually still heroes and operate as vigilantes who rescue people and fight the lower level scum? Spidey seemed to stop for a while, I know that's where Daredevil basically lives, but I'm drawing a blank otherwise.

These. Fucks sake guys. Read the text in little bubbles.

Stick to street level characters, Mrs Marvel (kamala khan), moon knight, Punisher, Moon girl, older venom books. Also Champions.

He was

He finally started to write serious on his 5th issue of Spectacular Spider-Man and the acclaim gave him the confidence to keep doing it

>it's another "Matt quits" arc
Daredevil really does only have three or four stories.

EDGY CHARACTER
CONSTANT PAIN
DEAD GIRLFRIENDS
NO DEVELOPMENT

sad that Luke Cage and Iron Fist don't even have a book right now

Jessica had Carol take the Purple Man and throw him into the sun. So yeah, they've all killed

Based.

thanks, I liked this one a lot

Peter should have retired a while ago too

Attached: peter-hits-mary-jane.jpg (465x512, 107K)

I know it won't last but I wouldn't mind Matt in a mentor position from now on. Blind Spot could be his first student

Honestly I see this as kind of a bad moment in a way.

Do you know how many times Peter has ABSOLUTELY fucked up in the worst ways, killed or otherwise, been framed for murder, and just plain sperged out and gotten into random insane fights that he shouldn't have after he did it?

Do you know how it would look if Cap or someone came up to him after those times and went "Give it up"? This is almost peak hypocrisy. Peter has had almost more chimp out and fuck up royally and keep fucking up right after that moments than any other hero out there. And no other hero ever had the right to tell him to give up despite that.

He does have Shadowland

>smilesawkwardly.jpeg

That wasn't Purple Man tho.
PM had Carol think she threw him at the Sun.
He's still out there;)

Accientally, a spy called Charlemanee see this.
On purpose? Morlun. Dock Ock once used his body to murder Trauma and before that, he once threw a gy and his bombs to the Hudson River in order to stop him. That guy never appeared after.
That guy was a mutated cannibal monster. He later locked up all of these monter in a room so they eat each other. Hugo Strange was behind this, IIRC.

>tf when you turn into a demon unprompted and then grow a shitty beard, only to never mention it again
It’s an abstract, but relatable kinda feel.

>Zdarsky does an entire story arc on something Matt's done before

Matt killed Nuke's handler in Born Again, and he was willingly ok with killing Bullseye at least twice before.

That is insanely out of character for Matt, to an insane degree. Matt isn't that much a naive child, he simply hates men like Punisher who murder as an answer to everything. He has fought alongside people who have killed before, but could at least find some common ground in the meantime, and would make them promise not to kill anyone while with him.

This whole arc is the writer not understanding the character.

>Earlier Spidey/DD relationship: "Hey man, I know what it's like to lose someone, and staying on the right path is hard, but I'm here for you"
>Current Spidey/DD relationship: "Man fuck you I can't be around you anymore"

Is this supposed to make a case for him? Because it doesn't.

I somehow feel like Peter wouldn't make a case that Daredevil is going to hurt superheroes, but should be more concerned with his wellbeing.

Just seems like Peter being a dick.

Attached: 1548461569022.jpg (200x199, 10K)

we know that he should since Spectacular

To me it's funny considering the Sin Eater story. Reading it recently along with this just reminded me of what a fucking shitshow OMD and BND did.

Defenders doesn't work and the TV show proved that (tho the characterization was off for Luke and Danny) and Bendis' run as well.

You either go Heroes for Hire with Luke and Danny or have them appear as guests in DD's comics like Bendis' old DD run. Jessica Jones throws the whole dynamic off.

The show wasn't well-received at all (and part of me thinks Bendis saw the writing was on the wall with that and the Netflix shows, and that might've been a part of why he left Marvel months later).

>left
if your contract ends and no one is willing to renew it, you don't have that much of a choice.

Just bring old Defenders back, the new one sucked from conception

You forgot:
JESUS VS THE WORLD

Ech, one could claim that Daredevil is having a mental breakdown or something.

How come Hank Pym is always meme’d as a wife beater yet everyone forgets this?

Because Spider-Man is a popular character and Hank Pym isn't.

Tsk he only confused a person with another one, that was all. In fact the story is shit, what he simply said it in a soft way.

Because cape writers are hacks.

It’s pretty obvious if you read that dialogue- dude sounds like he’s having a manic episode.

If Matt had stayed with the Defenders they could have defended him against Pete there.
