As long as it's not Captain Marvel

I'm up for it. He's the logical point man.

He's basically Captain America level H2H + leadership, with tech and resources that dwarfs Iron Man.

>nobody likes Captain Marvel

Literally every woman I know who has seen it loves it and most of them consider it to be their favorite MCU film.

Really OP? From the interviews I've seen Boseman comes off as indifferent or hating of being T'Challa. He always distances himself from the character when promoting other stuff. We all remember the "I don't know, don't ask me I'm dead" meme regarding Endgame.
I'm hope I'm wrong because I love King T'Challa and would love to see him be the new Captain America moral compass if Marvel for years to come

I can dig it. They’ll just have to change his personality up in the sequel to accommodate that. I think out of all the characters, BP has the most story and franchise potential to be the new lead.

Only if they don't skimp on CG budget again. Black Panther looked sensational in Civil War and then in his own movie they took ten steps back.

No, because his time is coming

Tom Holland has stated he is up for playing as Spider-Man for 20 more movies, so I would be completely fine if he was to lead the MCU for the foreseeable future (also considering the amount of grooming Stark had on him, it would be a surprise if he wasn't).

I wouldn't mind Black Panther leading the charge, but he just isn't that interesting as a character yet imo.

Being hesitant to bank on Spidey as the MCU's new poster boy is less about Holland getting sick of the role and more about Sony getting cocky and pulling him for their own SUMC.

True, but I'm secretly hoping that if they do that it will still be part of the MCU

I don't want him to lead either, his movie sucked ass and he's incredibly boring. No personality.

>He always distances himself from the character when promoting other stuff. We all remember the "I don't know, don't ask me I'm dead" meme regarding Endgame.
My dude just wanted to make sure the Disney NDA snipers wouldn’t get him. He knows how to protect himself.

He probably is tired of getting Wakanda Forever’d my every negro that meets him.

this, hes literally a non character with boring abilities

>My dude just wanted to make sure the Disney NDA snipers wouldn’t get him

Uh... he literally said that T'Challa is the bad guy in Black Panther, that T'Challa is "the enemy" and that he identified and sympathised with Killmonger.

>theverge.com/2018/2/28/17063218/chadwick-boseman-tchalla-enemy-black-panther

>“I actually am the enemy,” he says during a discussion with castmate Lupita Nyong’o and Marvel comics writer and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates at Harlem’s Apollo Theater on Tuesday. (The comments were transcribed and reported by The Atlantic and Rolling Stone.) “It’s the enemy I’ve always known. It’s power. It’s having privilege.” He characterizes T’Challa as “born with a vibranium spoon in my mouth.”

>Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t want to commit to the MCU fully as Doctor Strange
Source?

Interviews have Bandersnatch Cheshirecat saying he loves playing Strange and is in it for the long haul.

Plus the reason why he got the gig over Feige's first-choice Joaquin Phoenix is that he was happy to sign a multi-film contract while Phoenix was only game with doing the one solo movie.

>Forgetting about based Mackie and Captain Falcon

As long as they have a good scriptwriter, and its not too pandering, I wouldn't mind Mackie taking over from Chris Evans.

Outside of the Big 3, Scott fucking stole the show in Endgame. Wouldn't be surprised if he garnered more support after Endgame.

The one advantage Scott has over the remaining characters is that he's shown he can be actively involved with the Avengers. BP has to lead Wakanda, Doctor Strange has to lead the Sorcerers, Captain Marvel fucks off into space, and Spider-Man is still a teenage boy. With Stark's death, I wouldn't be surprised if Pym steps up to become the tech head for the Avengers and Scott becomes a full-time Avenger.

>Boseman, who hails from South Carolina and graduated from Howard University, says that like Killmonger, he’s felt the same sense of not fully connecting with African culture and history. He had to search for his own heritage like Killmonger did, and going to Africa for the film had been a chance for him to “reconnect to what I lost.”

>Boseman also says Killmonger has elements drawn from Ryan Coogler’s personality. The writer-director researched the film in part by traveling to London to visit African museum exhibits, just as Killmonger does in his first scene in the film.

>In the scene, Killmonger strolls into an African museum exhibit, poisons a museum guide, and steals back a Wakandan treasure, declaring, “Don’t trip. Imma take it off your hands for you.” When the guide says severely, “These items are not for sale,” he responds, to audience cheers during the initial French premiere, “How do you think your ancestors got these? You think they paid a fair price for it? Or did they take them like they took everything else?”

>The scene plays more like a heroic heist than a theft, and it would have been, if the film wasn’t based in such a good-and-evil-focused comic book world. To many commenters, the sides in Black Panther aren’t so clear cut. Both Killmonger and T’Challa are simultaneously heroes and villains. But Boseman’s acknowledgement that he sympathizes more with his character’s adversary is still a startling admission for a leading man in a superhero movie.

Just a reminder here he's talking about a character who is a racist racial-supremacist who has killed over a hundred people and it looking forward to genociding whites.

>Cumberbatch doesnt want to commit
wait what? he has a contract, I am pretty sure it will last for a while.

He would be a good leader if he wasnt King of a country.
Captain Marvel is proving less and less as a good leader for avengers. Strange isnt leader material but more of a head strong stratagist. Peter is no leader, and Captain Falcon is the best way to go.

Sam and Wanda are the best people to lead the team.

>Spider Man remains in Sony limbo

That MCU money is too hard to pass up. Besides, I think Sony will want to have their own cake and eat it too, what with the success of Venom and Spiderverse. Its like, they can MCU Spidey, AND spin-off Spidey.

>Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t want to commit to the MCU fully as Doctor Strange

The title of Sorcerer Supreme has been passed on to other. Loki was at one time, So was Brother Voodoo. Even Clea got to be it. I have faith in Mr. Cucumber but hey, keep options open

>Nobody cares about Ant Man

Hey, HEY. FUCK YOU.

Scott stole the show in Endgame! I could see Scott leading the Avengers in some way.

>Nova

Fuck, I really want a Nova movie. They already introdued the Corp, just do a goddamn Nova movie

Yeah, I have no idea where he is getting that from. While cucumber is doing other projects as well, so is almost everyone else?

>Nova is famously the last surviving member of the Nova Corps
>Thanos decimated Xandar and slaughtered the Nova Corps
It's all but inevitable.

What are the odds on this exact scene?

I think most black people can relate to the very most surface parts of Killmonger's character. The idea that your heritage has been stolen from you and wanting to take it back is very appealing. He was corrupted by America.

Any deeper than that and it's clear he's a piece of shit who either doesn't really understand the consequences of his actions or else doesn't care. He's angry and wants to take it out on the whole world.

Loki was faking being sorcerer supreme though

Man, this. I got excited for Black Panther's movie from his appearance in Civil War and trailer that showed the chase seen of him pursuing Klaw and running on the sides of a building hyped me, but the actual film itself didn't just fall short of my expectations, but went below my acceptable bottom-limit too. I can look over cringey characterss and mediocre plots, I've got that much good will in me, but at least give me good action scenes to make it not a total disappointment.

How long until they bring in She-Hulk?

The problem with the movie was that Black Panther was just reacting to everyone else. Okoye had more of a character arc than T'Challa. Shuri stole his science. Nakia convinced him to stop being an isolationist fuck. Even the villain influenced his decisions in the end.

Hopefully BP2 gives T'Challa more of a chance to be his own man.

T'Challa's really gotta get out from under the shadow of Civil War in his next movie. He can't just be the guy who was most compelling in somebody else's movie forever.

Granted, he was by far the best part of that movie, but, still.

They still don't have the licence back. It was sold to Warners during the fire sale twenty years ago.

They were never seriously considering any other actors though, Benedict was their first choice which was why they kept courting him and producing the movie around his schedule.

Only way is that he doesnt have Kingly duties. They really hinder him in terms of story telling

I can see it in one of many to make it work, create some drama, and keep the story in motion. Basically have him take on Dr.Doom or Namor

T'Challa rescuing those African prisoners in the beginning of the movie and the South Korea casino and car chase scene were fantastic though. Killmonger vs T'Challa on the waterfall was pretty good too. The only sham was the final fight cause IW sucked up all of Marvel's visual effects money.

I mean, this.
Boseman has charisma and played T'challa well.

>The only sham was the final fight cause IW sucked up all of Marvel's visual effects money.
Lameass mirror fights in MCU movies have been a problem since way before Infinity War was in production, senpai.

Movie went to shit as soon as he went over that waterfall. You could have just turned it off right there and you would still know exactly what happens. The action scenes get really fucking bad after it too so its not like your missing anything fun.

Fight being bad had nothing to do with Killmonger himself, it was just shitty CGI and awful, bland choreography. As was the actual battle with the hilarious rhinos and laser shields.

Yeah, I mean, I'm saying that they should've come up with something more compelling for Killmonger than "uh he's Black Panther but yellow?" That's literally an IM1-tier shit bad final bad guy and Killmonger deserved wwwwaaay better.

>Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t want to commit to the MCU fully as Doctor Strange
Really?

I wish he would've at least declared himself the "Golden Jaguar" as was intended if they were going for mirror fight.
And if they were gonna do a mirror fight for the final fight, they could've focused the whole movie on showing T'challa and Kilmonger's parallel journey. Civil War T'Challa was practically Kilmonger, even showing us how they shared the same pose and shot composition of holding their dead fathers. Movie never focused on T'Challa's character addressing this though. Feels like the whole film didn't take advantage of how fantastically Civil War set up his character honestly.

You mean Paramount.

The South Korea chase was pretty much the only scene I enjoyed.

I kinda liked the super spy thing they had going on for a little while. Then they throw it all away for woke shit and watching the most "advanced" society on the planet decide its ruler via two guys trying to brain each other with sticks.

Black Panther’s cool. Just have better CGI god damn

>Get her to wear the leotard and flirt with Petey and people will change their minds. Also, alcohol.
Just get Carol under a real writer. That's all she needs. I even trust Brie Larson to act it well. Just give the character an actual character.

Attached: 1551498251287.jpg (740x1000, 142K)

Once Strange is out I’m out desu. I’m only “in” because of him anyways

Wouldn't T'Challa get involved with the X-Men if they decide to make Storm his wife again?

This. Once again people just jumped to hate Captain Marvel. It's not any worse than the other mid MCU movie. Hell, the Skrulls storyline, Carol dealing with amnesia and finding her past plot thread, and 90s set piece were all so engaging on their own merit that all the movie needed was some better editing to bump it up a point or two for me.

Just get a writer who loves Captain Marvel on CM2 and focus on developing Carol's character, everyone will warm up to Carol immediately.

>were all so engaging on their own merit
I never complained and I never hated it, but I always cringe when I see anons like you overcompensate so hard like this. Sometimes it makes me wonder if you guys even actually like the movie or if you're deliberately pulling shit like this to try and make people like me hate it by association.

>It's set in the 90's so it's good!
t. Someone that wasn't even born during them

I'm just being honest bout the movie. Shapeshifting aliens, 90s prequel to MCU, and amnesia girl made brainwashed soldier were great ideas that held up the movie.

... That's pretty insightful and based, actually. Huh.

He's not wrong.

I wish I was like you
Easily amused

I couldn't even imagine writing a more casual post than this.

>A year later and he’s still mad

I would be if Fiege wasn't so damned determined to shove his waifu Carol down our throats

>Captain Falcon
He is in Disney+ now with Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier and Loki, they'll do Young Avengers or Dark Avengers next

I don't know if it was intentional, but they sure as hell did a better job selling him as the new Captain America than they ever did for Captain Marvel.

What?

Ηαve sex

But every woman I know(sister, mother, 3 separate co-workers, younger cousin who's into manga, my aunt who doesn't care but watched the movies because her godson wanted too) disliked her.
Except for that one cunt of my brother's wife, but her daughters hated her.

This.

>Get her to wear the leotard and flirt with Petey and people will change their minds. Also, alcohol.
This, the fanart is my only enjoyment of this character

>20 more movies
And this is how you kill your career.

Stupid Dick Riders

Despite white people like seeing good things happen for black people.
They don't want to see black people get it better than them.

I'd be fine with either him or antman honestly. i like they're characterizations in the MCU.

but i just want them to take a break from the MCU after far from home.

it could be a situation like hemsworth's where they just weren't fun movies to work on for him. but it could also be a situation like said and he doesn't want to fuck some NDA up.

Cosmic Marvel and Earth Marvel is going to be kept msotly separate in the MCU

Both of them are the enemy and both showed they have zero interest in helping africa

I totally forgot about that little girl that followed Drax around.
They should have had her snuck on the ship before they left

People also really like Wanda, but she'll never get a good push.

(You)

>>Chadwick Boseman wants to work with Marvel forever

Is the character popular tho? People seemed to care more about the supporting characters in his movie than about Black Panther himself.

The only good supporting character in BP was M'Baku. The rest were boring shitters.

I do agree with that, just saying what I saw. I also enjoyed Klaue but he is kill anyway

>CM is canonly a bitch
>BP is already a king
>Spidy is in high school
>Strange does magic shit full time and acts only as support
>Black Captain America has 0 hype, but is the most Avengery Avenger
>Thor said "fuck all of this shit" and left
>Antman is forever training, but has potential
>Hulk sucks now
>Hawkeye just wants to be left alone
>Wanda is a thing still, and people like her
>Nebula decided to go off with the GotG

New 3 would probably be:
Wanda -> Replace Thor as the OP problem solver
Antman -> Tech guy
Blacktain America -> Hero Soldier like CA
Not a terrible lineup given the actors, but would need more movies to set it all up

No user Richard reeds is the best, if only because he would put lady shazzam in her place.

Attached: 1557780320454.jpg (881x1326, 535K)

The CW suit was better too

No wonder he's the only actors okay with wearing his mask
Starlord and Cap barely wears there's

And then Infinity War and Endgame didn't take advantage of how overwhelmingly popular Black Panther was. Unfortunate side effect of all of these movies being in parallel development.

Weren’t the first reviews to give it a rotten by women?

I WANT A FUCKIN WAR MACHINE MOVIE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

He would be pretty good for coming up with heist and stealth plans. Him having an arc of learning to bring together larger than life heroes with him just being the everyman would be great.

So do I. Fuck superpowers, I want a good guy with a chaingun and missiles.

/thread

She will be THE central character in the next phase of the MCU. She will be beloved by fans, quirky yet down-to-earth, and will usher the next MCU arc to even greater heights of success.

I'm ready for a Namor film where he drowns Wakanda.

Same. I just want two and a half hours of gun porn.

Fantastic Four should be the face of the next phase. Not captain push, not BP, not Spidey. Motherfucking fantastic four. They can introduce Namor, Doctor Doom, Surfer and end in a big teamup Galactus movie.

Attached: fantstic-four-variant-covers-1110912-1280x0.jpg (1280x705, 153K)

They probably test the popularity of each characters in those series, if Mackie Cap is great received then they can confirm a movie for him

As long as she's actually interesting it's fine.
And they keep her dress.
This is important.

>thinking box office means people liked the movie
imagine being this much of a faggot

>10 minute screen time in Endgame
OH NO NO ON

People don't care about marvel characters, they respond to marvel movies and the marvel brand as a whole. Stop being autistic. Just like with Avatar, people don't get as invested as you think.

Yeah, people go to marvel movies for the bright red marvel text only, you really nailed it

The 2013 Marvel logo was better.

He has a lame stoic personality, what a great material for a front man
He's even worse than Rogers in his moralfagging moments
Ant-Man is gonna carry the next Avengers

I know this is Yea Forums, but that's shit tier reading comprehension, see Captain Marvel.

He was awesome in Civil War. Too bad his movie sucked

Yeah, I'm getting the same vibe. I really don't think Chadwick is interested in the long term superhero game

Still a fucking shame his movie emasculated his character

There wasn't much character there to emasculate. Guy is a blank slate. God that movie sucked

No it didn't, T'challa was just boring.

It sucked, extremely predictable, boring characters, awful fight scenes, bad CGI. It was a complete crapfest outside the visuals.

He had a great intro in Civil War

He did, then they pissed it away.

Alright I agree with the CGI, but I had a great time. Killmonger is one of the better MCU villains.

He started out decent but didn't get enough screentime to really do anything. Didn't help that the movie takes place over like one day.

>Killmonger is one of the better MCU villains.
Only if you are american. The entire movie was pure cringe.

holy shit based
