A final rush with with Nebula carrying the gauntlet and the Guardians clearing a path would have been 1000 times better than her being in the movie at all.

And using all the stones, Thanos couldn't even beat Thor's hammer. If he didn't snap and run, he'd be dead even faster.

She hasn't been built up, she hasn't had a character arc, she just shows up and destroys everything and raises a bunch of questions in the process. Movie would have been better off without her.

Lex isn't comparable at all, completely different type of villain. Thanos is a powerhouse who beat up the HULK with ease. Carol being so much stronger means she could have easily resolved every conflict in the series had she been there but she wasn't because "there are other planets".
