>China forbids movies about using time travel to change the past.
This kills the Flashpoint movie harder than Marvel beating them to Hypertime/Multiverse concepts.

Wait wot
Then how was Avengers Endgame not banned?
Also you already made this thread on Yea Forums
Yet Endgame was the highest grossing movie there...I don't think China is to blame, user
China also banned ghosts and skeletons and still allowed Coco.
Honesty WB and the DCEU have bigger fears. Like, making sure American audiences actually watch their movies AND now scheduling their movies near movies like Avengers Endgame (seriously, did they expect Detective Pikachu to kill Avengers Endgame?)
Wasn't their just recently some big time travel movie with the Asian from Rogue One?
Why is the Chinese government afraid of time travel being portrayed in media? Are they afraid some Chinese citizen will get inspired to create a time machine, go back in time and kill Mao?
>AND now scheduling their movies near movies like Avengers Endgame (seriously, did they expect Detective Pikachu to kill Avengers Endgame?)
The scheduling of their recent films has been so stupid, Pikachu dropped 60% in it's estimated opening because of Endgame and Shazam just got destroyed.
They did Suicide Squad which wasn't released in China, wonder why
exactly
The didn’t change the past for themselves
>China forbids movies about using time travel to change the past.
Fucking what now?
>it's real
Amazing
They didn't change the past at all, just created alternate timelines.
>They did Suicide Squad which wasn't released in China, wonder why
Because of Katana
Most of the stuff you read about China/Russia/North Korea/Venezuela/Iran/Syria banning something or killing X functionary is usually propaganda.
>mfw I get to watch the Back to the Future and the bugmen don't
Just came from a quora thread where one guy said
>I live in China, but I never heard about banning on time travel movies.Instead, there are lots of awful movies and TV series about time travel, Palace (TV Series 2011– ) , Scarlet Heart (TV Series 2011– ) , The Myth (2005).One of the outstanding Chinese time travel movies is A Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box (1995) .I also watched Interstellar, Source Code and some else time travel movies in cinema.Actually, there are few excellent movies or TV series on time travel in China.
and another person said,
>Fiction based on Time travel is allowed in China as long as it doesn't question the authority of The Party, in fact one of the most anticipated upcoming movie in mainland this year is based on time travel, Donnie yen's ‘Ice Man'
and another said
>On the other side, realistic movies reflecting current unfair societies may pass the censor as long as they don't challenge the bottomlines of the CCP. They must be constructively reflect the country and keep optimistic to the future. They can curse and unveil the evils of middle lever officials but they must praise the righteousness of the top leaders. Bottomlines are bottomlines. You can feel when you watch TV and sufficient movies.

How is that a thing? Why would they ban something like that... how did Endgame her a pass?
Why the fuck would you even want Flashpoint?
Because it didn't affect China's political system
I don't, but Warner and Ezra Miller do.
Best way to reboot the universe
>China also banned ghosts and skeletons and still allowed Coco.
Because Coco had the whole respect and honor family angle and it was less about spoopy shit and more about "muh familia" Mexican shit which the Chinese could relate to. Also it made the Chinese censors cry so they accepted it.
No, fuck off, it's best just to plow ahead and not reference what happened. I'm not sitting through 2 fucking hours of a post apocalyptic Flash fuckup with Aquaman and Wonder Woman at war just for a do over and so you all can jerk off to Thomas Wayne.
Flashpoint being adapted was back when they wanted to just retool and retcon out poorly received elements of Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice and contingent on Justice League being a success.
Now they're probably planning to use a Doomsday Clock movie to reboot the universe.
And that's a good thing.
why would you bump this garbage thread?
Fuck off, don't ruin my thread
They're fucking retarded. Ezra especially.
BECAUSE ENDGAME TIME TRAVEL DOESN'T CHANGE THE FUCKING PAST
THE MOVIE TELLS YOU THIS
THE ENTIRE MOVIE IS ABOUT THIS.
THIS FUCKING THREAD ALREADY TELLS YOU THIS
FOR FUCK'S SAKE
Ignoring this?
I really don't get the CCP censorship board's weird mentality towards a lot of this shit.
Like, I get the animosity towards supernatural shit to a degree since it basically boils down to them seeing religion (Christianity in particular; Xi Jingping is noted to be extremely paranoid about Catholicism getting a foothold and spreading in China) as a political threat, but just the stuff about light sexuality like how even kissing in a loving way between married couples is discouraged, and homosexuality being taboo is just weird. The time travel one in particular is just kooky.
Because time travel shit is made up by OP and watch Police Story if you think that "kisses and light sexuality" are forbidden
The opposition to faggotry stuff is because displays of homosexuality fall under their anti-pornography laws.
