Pinpoint the exact moment a great cartoon went to shit
You said "a great cartoon" but I see Samurai Jack
While I won't argue that season 5 was as good as the previous seasons, it never did go to shit. It was all at least okay.
The Dark Avatar
>ripping off the ending of TTGL
>okay
No.
Even you user loves somebody sometimes.
When Amon was asspulled to be Yakone´s second son
Anything after this
EVERYBODY
Even me???
>Ashi seems like prime daughterfu material
>angry girl for Jack to train up and turn against Aku
>suddenly start fuckin'
Jack not aging doesn't make him not an 80 year old man screwing an 18 year old
>Jack ends up in a relationship with a girl whose he killed in someway all of her sisters. The ones who grew up with the sames traumas as her and could have got better like her.
The wings. You know the one I'm talking about.
When it went from being kino and Jack battling his consciousness to shipping. Honestly we didn't get enough samurai jack's mental illness.
>samurai jack's mental illness
This would've been rad as fuck, suicide jack was the best surprise character.
I don't have an image, but the moment that Marco found out his cape was a meat blanket. It's the kind of joke that someone on the Star Vs. team came up right after Battle of Mewni, and based several episodes of S3 on including the one where he breaks up with Jackie.
His break-up with Jackie was retroactively because he wore a meat blanket that he felt made him a hero in Mewni.
The show in a very essential manner performed a retroactive character assassination that they orchestrated deliberately so that they could make the joke about how fucking pathetic Marco is.
That's when a great cartoon went to shit. An exact moment, the very conception of that unfunny gag, permeating the entire third and fourth season.
Even earlier
When Korra kissed Mako in episode five.
This is still so surreal. Why did Gennedy feel the last season needed a romance on top of everything else? Having her be a friend who unknowingly sacrificed herself to save the world would've been much more satisfying. Though I suppose you couldn't have TTGL wedding scene without them getting together.
No it defintely went to shit.
Even earlier.
When Korra first spoke.
IIRC, the original pitch was to have Jack travel with a love interest from the beginning, but for some reason he couldn't do that until the last season.
well said, it pissed me off too, including just how cringy the whole return to mewni was,
as if the entire season was made to just humiliate marco and destroy starco, the dynamic between
marco and star was completely gone, and it still hasn't recovered, even though it was clear that they will end up together despite everything
even now, every interaction between them feels incredibly forced, star becoming a bitch also doesn't help
but then again, show went off the rails in many other aspects as well
No, I don't.
It didn't fuck the show inmediatly, but marks perfectly the point of no return
>mfw when the music played in the discussion thread
You fucking faggot. It's not the romance, it's the writing overall, especially at the end.
HOLY FUCK IS THIS REALITY
The inclusion of the act of female appropriation of the male vital fluids, his purity of essence, is the worst writing of all, it is a conspiracy to remove the strength of men and a true samurai warrior show should have NO GIRLS, for they have cooties.
I'm patently waiting to see if this'll happen in Dororo so all the "sibling" folks can get BTFO.
The context was different and you know it, fag.
There are S4 episodes better than some S3 episodes.
her entire character was shit and did not deserve all that screen time
This but unironically
Imagine believing this.
I don't think he was being ironic, just correct
You're right. TTGL had context that made it work and be appropriately emotional. SJ did not.
It’s the moment Garnet went to shit anyway.
Eh she's much better as of season 5 but I'll grant you S3 since she was barely there and most of S4.
This whole site went to shit the moment Reddit invaded the place.
"No."
Christ, I fucking hate Korra.
>Selling out
>Have you seen this snail?
>Lost matress
>Krusty Towers
Meanwhile in season 3:
>...ugh
>The sponge who could fly
I'm not saying that OVERALL season 4 was better then season 3, I'm just saying that season 4 had a few decent episodes.
It was a pretty solid 40 seconds of cartoon before that though
>If only you knew how bad things are going to be.
Jasper's first appearance was a gateway to the show becoming action packed and that got tossed so fucking far. Jasper was the best character simply because she is the only thing with promise the show ever had
After the episode where Jack kills all her sisters.
The first two were such bait to bring in an audience under the assumption it was going to be edgier.
Looks like someone hates his own actual generation.
>tfw not literally autistic and can actually digest and analyze media instead of making blanket associations with characters and moments
>understand that Samurai Jack S5 not only was generally a more accomplished work than the original series, but the show was good up until the final episode
People had problems with Ashi since the moment she appeared and those people are autistic. They wanted each episode to be silent and action only like the first 3, but they forgot what the actual show was like, and what S5 needed to accomplish to be successful. S5 failed less because Ashi exists and more because Gennedy didn’t move the plot enough in the first three episodes.
Still the cartoon of the decade.
We are talking about the show where Jack got over 50 years of trauma in the span of one conversation, right?
But we had so much fun when it aired
>Hating on Ugh and The Sponge who could fly
I bet you were bullied in school
THAT'S what you take umbrage with? Lmao. Nothing wrong with some age gap, you underage moralfag. Especially when the old man looks as sexy as Jack.
There are people that unironically would nonstop shit on episode 2 and 3 even though they are pure unbridled kino. Don't try to reason with the faggots.
We acknowledged this as revisionism the moment it came into existence. We already saw quality declining at episode 4.
It was just autistic head canon but I always thought Aku had the unspoken limit of only opening time portals into the future, This would make him powerful but not incoherently so.
I thought four was redeemed by the ending, a bit on the nose sure, but I felt it was the last highpoint of the season.
close but I'd say a bit further
That was implied in the original series more than once.
The whole thing was a rip off of Ronin, you're just splittit hairs
This happened
You were a small legion of autistic shitposters.
Are there really people this deluded on Yea Forums
Retard.
nope this is it, the exact scene
Purple Smart Unicorn?
