Thoughts on big mouth?

Coach Steve and the ghost of Duke Ellington are actual garbage, Morry is hit or miss and the autistic kid is 100% improved after season one. I'm glad the pillow fucking thing got put to bed in the Valentine's Day special but I'm not thrilled about Andrew becoming his father - another character that's only good in small doses. Overall a 7.5/10 show with the potential to be a 9 if they can cut the garbage.

I hope somebody makes a Source Filmmaker version of it with anime chicks so complaints about the art style stop.

Agreed. The portrayal of the Duke is actually outright offensive. Coach Steve and the female student voiced by Nick Kroll are just painfully mediocre.

Aside from that, really good voice acting and some genuinely funny character interactions. Unlike you I actually love Andrew's awful Jewish father. The sucking on peach pits thing was hilarious, how do you think of shit like that?

Honestly, if feels like the creators are trying to recontextualize their sheltered, suburban childhoods as normal when the statistically were far enough to the right of the wealth bell curve that there is no way in hell the message will resonate with a majority audience. Also, fuck me, the show is so ugly that it loses any charm the jokes give it. The art feels ironically bad, which is fine if it didn't take itself so fucking seriously, because that just otherwise makes it look cheap and tasteless.

It's a good show and the artstyle really doesn't bother me.
People who complain about the sexualisation of children when these characters are established as voiced by adults and breaking the fourth wall constantly just strike me as insecure.
