All Watchmen continuations are mistakes. I wouldn't even bother trying to rank them since the premise is fundamentally wrong in all cases. And I'm not saying you should have to respect Alan Moore or that it's a sign of creative bankruptcy if you have to try dragging his old shit out over and over again in place of original ideas. I'm saying it's mistaken for the simple way in which the comic was intentionally designed as a self-contained one off story. It's complete. Nothing about it was meant to operate as an ongoing saga. It was already a deconstruction, you don't get anything out of it by trying to deconstruct it a second, third, or fourth time.
