I mean the character is a shape changer. It's not beyond the realm of possibilities that as she gets stronger and better at using her powers her "natural state" might be easier for her to slightly change to look more human

Her character arc in First Class is all about becoming proud of being a mutant, and this is thrown away because Lawrence was able to say fuck you, I'm not putting on makeup.

The number of boners I got to Rebecca Romijn's Mystique as a kid are reason enough to mock JLaw's cheap knock-off.

It might be the best that Jennifer Lawrence has looked as the character. It aaaaalmost looks good. It looks like they decided to do all the colors in post, and if they just tweaked the color a bit more it would look really good.

mystique is a regular looking lady with DARK blue skin. DARK blue. no weird scales, just yellow eyes.

The movies starting with First Class were supposed to be prequels to the first movies so she had to look the same, then DOFP threw a wrench into that, and now they don't really care about tying things together since it's the last one anyway.
I never complained about these movies' timeline because frankly I don't give a shit, but they really should have just rebooted the series with First Class.

Also Nightcrawler has those markings for... whatever reason.

The idea for the markings back in X2 is that they were supposed to be ritualistic scarring depicting angels, one for each sin. Apparently this was his way of atoning for them.

80's teenage Nightcrawler already has them so I think either they're implying he was already deep into the sin/atonement thing or they just completely forgot why Kurt had the marks to begin with.

I recall that, they replayed the movie on tv just the other day. But they had the perfect chance to ditch that stupid thing with the reboot, that's what I don't get.

The makeup bothers everyone which is just high standards based off the first films when originally from comics she just had blue skin so i don't care about the makeup.

What really bothers me is the fake ass party city hair, literally in every movie, all that needs done is tone down the brightness and make it darker and add layers of shifting transitioning colors to make it looks at least somewhat normal and natural. I also prefer no pupils especially no dumb yellow cat eye shit.

Overall she was better as a villain, i dont care for crybaby mystique.

She isn't even a villain in the original films. She's a mute henchwench who mindlessly obeys Magneto's every word when in the comics she would be sticking him with a plastic knife the moment she got bored with him.

There are alternatives that can be used. The beauty of cinematic make up is that you have at least a dozen different options to choose from if one doesn't work. She's being a primadonna.

The logic behind it was that it didn't make sense for her clothes to morph with her, so they had her nude and used scales so that she doesn't have straight up nipples exposed.

Not really. People have had to stop doing make-up intensive roles for health reasons before. If it were actually just some easy way to get out of doing part of your job, studio lawyers would be all over it.
