Like, a lot of that shit I sympathize with (getting picked on, lugging around tons of books because hitting the lockers was too time consuming, tons of wasted time learning the same subject year after year, etc.) but you can really tell what his low intelligence resulted in.

I (and a lot of people like me probably) had very similar situations, but were smart enough/self centered enough to think themselves above their classmates, giving them superiority complexes. Of course, the real world eventually crashes in and you realize the benefit of socializing and manipulating people, but at that point you're just starting late with better skills/knowledge, not from leagues behind like this fucker. I'd say I pity him, but given the utter lack of any self reflection and meta perspective, combined with such arrogance with such failure, just makes me laugh. No it doesnt make him a mary sue. It depends on the writer, but generally he is depicted as someone who suffers for the sake of justice. To add to that, batman suffers from things people don't idealize (failing relationships, being stubborn, and being a general jackass)
Its pretty cool being a lone wolf, having your adoptive children die on you occasionally is not. Not to say he is always well written, just that he is flawed.
