Avengers Endgame Spoilers

Here's my opinion on Avengers Endgame since I can't find the thread that mentioned it:

1. The movie sucked. Not because it was "capeshit", but because it just seemed like a rapid decline towards quality in the MCU in the midst of things.

2. Captain Marvel's role was largely underplayed. Especially considering how the previous film had her discussing planets with bigger threats in the likes of Thanos.

3. The timeskip and back to the future/time travel plot were just a giant fucking joke. Thanos getting killed off that easily and just having the stones crushed just seemed like a means to expand the plot out. Honestly, I didn't want Thanos to die like that, especially later on on what happens near the end.

4. Why did it take so long for Scott Lang to return back to Avengers HQ? Wasn't the need to have everybody back as shown in the trailer occur BEFORE the timeskip? Not all the time travel bullshit taking place?

5. What was Cliff Barton doing as Ronin in Mexico and Japan. What connections and significance did they make to the plot of the movie?

6. How did Bruce Banner regain control as the Hulk?

7. Although the Russos mentioned that Sif was erased, why not keep her during the events of Ragnarok and Infinity War so that she could help out the Avengers when necessary, especially when considering that Thor and Rocket went to Asgard to regain the reality stone before then (and why wasn't she present during the battle against Thanos at the end along with the rest of the other asgardians)?

8. Was Korg playing Fortnite and Thor gaining a beer belly REALLY that necessary?

9. If the Ancient One was present at the battle of New York and she was aware of the infinity stones concurrently taking place, then how does that explain the 4-year gap between then and when Stephen became Dr. Strange?

10. If originally Pierce and HYDRA were present after the battle of New York, then how only in previously traveling through time do we ever see them?

11. What were Hank Pym, Peggy Carter, and Howard Stark doing in Camp Lehigh anyway?

12. How did Past Nebula's implanted intercom predict Future Nebula's intercom? Like, how did the past gain access to the future? Plus, considering the laws of time travel mentioned before regarding future selves making different past selves, doesn't this already break the law of time travel in some way?

13. How come we only saw Ebony Maw out of all of the Black Order members present at the battle at HQ?

14. How did Spider-Man know about the 5-year gap that was also discussed by Dr. Strange when mentioning it to Iron Man?

15. How did everyone (who managed to be revived) manage to be immediately summoned at the most convenient time (i.e. having Black Panther's army the moment they're fighting the Chitauri, Asgard's, the Magicians, etc.)

16. How did Luis van not get destroyed when Thanos launched the missiles from the ship and so on?

17. If Captain Marvel knew about the pager she received from Fury, then how did she also know when the Avengers were being attacked? In fact, between the time traveling events and after she met with Widow on scouring for planets, where was she this whole time?

18. How did Iron Man die after using the Infinity Gauntlet?

19. How did Scarlet Witch know about Thanos killing Vision IF he only appeared AFTER dealing with Iron Man on Titan BEFORE he snapped AFTER being stabbed by Thor BEFORE she even knew where she was AND how Black Panther's army ONLY HAPPENED TO APPEAR THE MOMENT THEY'RE ABOUT TO CHARGE TOWARDS THE CHITAURI?

20. What happens to Star Lord and Gamora? Does the plot just ignore that despite what they've been through in Infinity War?

21. Where is Sif when Valkyrie is appointed as the new queen of New Asgard?

22. What happens to Bucky when Cap grows old and gives Falcon his shield after going dancing with Carter in the past? Is he still the White Wolf?

Honestly, based on the ending, I think the heroes were the real villains when you think about it. Thanos did nothing wrong and only wanted a quiet life. He didn't deserve to die, but between Iron Man and Captain America, Iron Man probably could've been saved for later had it not been for Robert Downey Jr.'s contract expiring.

>What was Cliff Barton doing as Ronin in Mexico and Japan. What connections and significance did they make to the plot of the movie?
His grief turned him into the Punisher, so he goes from place to place killing criminals.
>explain the 4-year gap between then and when Stephen became Dr. Strange?
Well he didn’t have that car crash until his movie.
Also, technically, he was already Dr. Strange, that’s his last name, and I doubt he only became a doctor 4 years after Avengers, but I think I know what you meant.

>His grief turned him into the Punisher, so he goes from place to place killing criminals.

That doesn't explain enough, though. Cliff purposefully became Ronin because he wanted to kill criminals to whom he thought didn't deserve to live after the decimation

>Also, technically, he was already Dr. Strange

Only under the medical and vocational sense, but it's really a matter of time between 2012 and 2016, especially on behalf of the Ancient One's sake when discussing with Banner regarding the timestream.

I'm sorry, user. After reading your blog I'm afraid I can only come to one conclusion: you're retarded.

There's no cure, but here's something I'm sure you'll enjoy

Attached: e70.jpg (854x949, 143K)

I feel like you only read the wikipedia plot synopsis of endgame and even then you glossed over entire paragraphs.

Pardon my interruption good sir, but I do believe you've missed the point entirely. All of your quibbles are easily addressed once you realize the deeper meaning to what is, in my expert opinion, objectively the best example of post-modern cinematic mastery.

What you've failed to grasp, whether owing to your myopic world view or a woeful lack of education, is that Avengers Endgame is a perfect allegory for the struggle between the corrupt power-elite and the heroic, yet unsung, masses. It is through this lens we see the sheer genius of the Russo Brothers and come to understand that both our top-heavy government and our maligned capitalistic systems need to be dusted.

I pity you for falling into the trap, set by others inflicted with your similar sense of ignorance, which blinds you to Endgame's unparalleled construction and higher truths.

This is the last I'll post concerning this topic; I shan't respond to any replies. I'm certain anything said in retort offers no more than the mindless bleating of farm animals. I pray you see the err of your ways and recant. Good day to you, daddy. I must now facilitate the ingress of a, no-less-than substantial, potato into my anal passageway.

There's a line between having genuine questions about a movie and not paying any attention like a fucking idiot and blaming it on the movie.
You definitely flew over that line OP.

>4. Why did it take so long for Scott Lang to return back to Avengers HQ? Wasn't the need to have everybody back as shown in the trailer occur BEFORE the timeskip? Not all the time travel bullshit taking place?

AM&TW takes place in San Fransisco. Avengers HQ is on the Northern East Coast

You try getting across the country after you’ve been LEGALLY DEAD FOR 5 YEARS in a Van that has been sitting in a lot.

Honestly dude it sounds like you were dragged to see Endgame and couldn’t do anything but nitpick and complain

23. Why the fuck did you expect quality from a cape movie?

Bruh did you even watch the film

>What were Hank Pym, Peggy Carter, and Howard Stark doing in Camp Lehigh anyway?
Science and SHIELD business.
>How did Past Nebula's implanted intercom predict Future Nebula's intercom? Like, how did the past gain access to the future? Plus, considering the laws of time travel mentioned before regarding future selves making different past selves, doesn't this already break the law of time travel in some way?
The best explanation I can come ip with is that it’s like the cloud, or something, so the implant has a transmitter, and since it’s technically the same implant, the frequency or channel or whatever is the same, so they connected since they were both in the same time, and Thanos decided to look through the future Nebula’s memory recordings. I know that raises more questions, but whatever.
>How did everyone (who managed to be revived) manage to be immediately summoned at the most convenient time (i.e. having Black Panther's army the moment they're fighting the Chitauri, Asgard's, the Magicians, etc.)
Magic. Or at least it’s called magic. And because plot convenience.
>How did Iron Man die after using the Infinity Gauntlet?
The MCU gauntlet/stones are more dangerous than they usually are in the comics, in that when all six are used together, it puts a massive strain on the user’s body, sorta like how the power stone desintigrated most people who tried to touch it. At the beginning, we see than Thanos, having snapped twice, once to half all life, and again to atomize the stones, has his left arm, and then some, fucked up, and Hulk’s arm gets fucked up from his snap too. Tony isn’t a big guy who can take that kind of damage.
>19
um, what? Please rephrase that question, then I will provide the best answer I can give.

I'm sorry but you have autism. Most of your nitpickings doesn't break the movie because it never contradicts anything. This is like complaining how convenient the Joker's plan was in the Dark Knight.

This

Foolish OP, you made the MCUDF angry.

It's almost like OP needs to be spoon fed every answer to questions which are easily answered by watching the movie with an ounce of attention.

Good for you OP, you've shit the bed good and well.

ITT: OP thinks he's smarter than the film, but only reveals himself to be dumber than the film

I thought a lot of the same stuff,,,, Justice League was so much better too. marvel should make there movies more like dc so they can up there game

The only question I have is, do the infinty stones do what you wish, or is their sole purpose to destroy half of life in the universe and/or bring them back?

In comics it's basically godlike omnipotence and thanos used that power to kill half of all people, but in mcu, it seems like all they are good for is killing half the universe or bringing them back, and not elevating the user to be a god

Dude half of these questions are clearly answered in the movie. Are you seriously this fucking stupid?

>Here's my opinion
Stop.
We don't give a fuck.

The rules aren't clear but you're assuming they can do whatever but will deal back damage to the user depending on the scale.

They do what you want, not just destroy the universe. Did you notice that after he got the reality stone, Thanos's dick was at least 1 inch bigger?

Jesus christ OP, are you literally pants on head retarded?

1. You're retarded.

2. Captain Marvel never says there are bigger threats, just similar things that are happening on Earth, general unrest etc.

3. If they don't expand the plot, the movie would be over in 20 minutes. Are you dense?

4. Did you miss the part where he was in the quantum realm and everyone assumed he was dead?

5. user, you must be retarded. The theme of the movie was dealing with grief and loss. This was setting up how Clint has dealt with his grief. He took it out on the bad guys he could get a hold of(Cartels/Yakuza) We'll touch on this again.

6. Who cares, doesn't matter to the plot.

7. Who cares? doesn't matter to the plot.

8. Yes, see point 5. It's about grief. Thor has retreated into drinking himself into oblivion and surrounding himself with comfortable childish things. did it need to be fortnite? no, but some sort of easily recognizable game. And yes, the beer belly is needed. Both for humor(you know what that is right?) and for illustrating the depths of his grief.

9. Are you pants on head retarded? It wasn't time yet. Strange still had his hands. It would be years before he was ready to accept the responsibilties.

10. probably because it was a small retcon dipshit.

11. Gee why are military and super scientists at a base devoted to cutting age military and super science?

12. They connected to the same network. Your wifi doesn't change addresses every day. If your phone is programmed to connect to your wifi automatically and you come back 5 years later and nothing has changed, you know what it'll do? CONNECT AUTOMATICALLY. It's not hard.

13. All the black order members were at the HQ? Did you somehow miss the other members dying? Wakanda lady stabbed one and Scott stepped on one.

14. They were brought back at the same place. Spiderman EVEN SAYS EXACTLY HOW HE KNOWS ya dipshit.

15. Dr. Strange knew what was going to happen and arranged for it.

>Marvel has to fix the giant hole it punched through it's own universe with time travel
>From now until the MCU becomes unprofitable, there will always be the dangling question of any plot of sufficient danger: "Why didn't they just use their non-time travel time travel to fix it?"

Attached: onioned.png (1643x1205, 1.77M)

23. Why did Steve get the super serum? He was a scrawny little weakling - it would've made more sense to give it to the best soldier

24. When did Tony get an Iron Man suit?

25. Why does Pepper Potts have a vagina? I just don't get it, what with the time travel

26. Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?

Attached: 20151014_235240_7661_770059.jpg (800x800, 253K)

16. Because plot. Are you autistic?

17. Fury was brought back too and clearly called her. Plus we see they have tech that can allow for interspace communication.

18. How? He burnt out. He took in too much energy, as has been explained in like half a dozen marvel movies.

19. What? She was standing right there when he killed Vision? She literally watched him do it? You must be retarded. IT's the only explanation.

20. You didn't watch the movie did you?

21. Who cares? I think you may be the only person in the world who gives 2 shits about Thors backup dancers.

22. yes, duh.

tldr. OP is pants on head retarded, probably autistic and clearly has the recall of a 4 year old if he even bothered to watch the movie.

sorry to hear about your autism, OP.

I am convinced we've all been trolled. No way OP is for real. For example:

>13. How come we only saw Ebony Maw out of all of the Black Order members present at the battle at HQ?
We DO see more than Ebony Maw. Pay attention.

>18. How did Iron Man die after using the Infinity Gauntlet?
Hulk clearly stated that he was the only one of them strong enough to withstand using the stones (being mostly gamma energy). Stark is merely human.

Are you kidding? She was alive before the snap and witnessed Thanos kill vision. Then she was revived from the snap with that memory.

>20. What happens to Star Lord and Gamora? Does the plot just ignore that despite what they've been through in Infinity War?
Are you kidding? Past-gamora is the one currently in the MCU which means she shared none of the memories/experiences with Quill. The "Gamora missing" projection implies that she peaced-out after the final fight because there was nothing keeping her tethered to Quill and the rest of the Guardians.

Don't spoonfeed retards please

honestly it sounds like op paid way too much attention to what's just a dumb popcorn flick manufactured to appeal to largest audience possible

It’s probably wish granting, but at the cost of fucking your body up in the process, and it’s just that most of the times the full set was used, it was either turning stuff to dust, or un-dusting them, but Thanos used the stones off-screen to destroy the stones, and Tony used them to wipe out Thanos and his army, not half of all life in the universe
Individually, they all have some kind of ability, and it’s possible to use two or more at the same time, but using all six at once is essentially a wish, but again, the body of whoever uses it probably won’t be fine afterwards in that case.

No it sounds like YOU ARE ALL FUCKING STUPID

>> 25. Why does Pepper Potts have a vagina? I just don't get it, what with the time travel
Are you fucking kidding. Girls have a penis and boys have a bagina!

. Why did Steve get the super serum? He was a scrawny little weakling - it would've made more sense to give it to the best soldier
Are you fucking kidding? THEY DID! They gave it to Captain America!

. When did Tony get an Iron Man suit?
Are you fucking kidding? It clearly states he had enough cereal box tops to redeem for the suit.

. Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?
Are you fucking kidding? Of Course They Had Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like With the Gauntlet!

youtube.com/watch?v=IRIsCRxfKC4

>honestly it sounds like op paid way too much attention
Not when he's asking questions like "Why'd Iron Man die from using the thing the movie repeatedly mentioned would kill anyone that's not Thanos/Hulk tier?"

What I don't understand:

1. What happened to Hulk's arm?

2. If there was only small amount of pym particles left, how did Bad Nebula bring over so many people to the present?

3. What was that sound at the end of the credits?

4. What was that sound during the movie?

5. Why did Captain Marvel cut her hair?

6. Why did Black Widow kill herself? I thought she and Ronin were dating at that point? Didn't they want to continue dating?

you have to have paid a lot of attention to the movie to come up with some of thsee really detailed questions though even if they don't make any sense. op is prob ably just trolling

>1, 3, 6

1. Hulk burned it after using the gauntlet

3. Iron Man banging Thor's hammer.

6. Because the stone needed a sacrifice.

1. Why didn't Tony Stark use the time travel to prevent Ned Stark from being decapitated?

why didn't doctor strange just kill thanos by cutting him in half with ap ortal

>What was that sound at the end of the credits?
m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y63i2NR9-LE
>What was that sound during the movie?
When?
>Why did Captain Marvel cut her hair?
To match how she looks in the comics.
>I thought she and Ronin were dating at that point?
No.

But who was phon!?

Terrence Howard

>m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y63i2NR9-LE

That was the animated show from the 90s and wasn't in Endgame. I think was more accurate when he said the sound was the sound of Iron Man making love to Thor's hammer Mueller.

2 A wizard did it

1. Why didn't Dormammu graphically rape everyone for the remaining two and a half hours of screentime immediately after Thanos reveals he destroyed the stones, which should leave the universe defenseless?

Attached: file.png (600x270, 214K)

You know what I mean.
>Mueller
???

Dormammu's voice actor had a scheduling conflict, I believe

He made a promise. Can't break it, gotta keep street cred, ya know? Also I hope Dormy will get his flaming his later.

infinity gauntlet basically burned the soul out of it as well as the flesh. think like in naruto with the snake dude
raided pym's lab
a hmmer, specifically a soundbyte from tony hammering out his scrapheap suit in the first iron man. it just means someone somewhere is forging their own armor. maybe doom. maybe riri. who knows
its pretty common to get a new haircut to symbolize getting a fresh start after making major changes to your life
they weren't dating.

But he's the same as the actor for Doctor Strange. Does that mean they got a look-alike for Banana Cucumber later in the film?

dormammu may be an evil interdimensial universe-consuming being but he doesnt' break his promises

No, they just had the rest of the movie filmed by the time Cordlessdrill was able to shoot any scenes, so it was too late to go with the Dormammu plan.

1. Same thing that happened to Thanos'
2. Russos explained Thanos' chief scientist reverse-engineered it
3. It was Tony making the mask for the Mark 1 in the 1st MCU movie, Iron Man. Not from TAS.
4. I don't know. It ruined the movie for me. I miss silent movie dialogue cards.
5. Because she's a dyke.
6. Because she had the courage to do what I pussy out doing every day.

Thanos says he "atomized" the stones. The substance of the stones still exist, it just that they are in an unusable state.

The Russos have said they had to reuse old, unused, footage of Bandersnatch Cumberbunt in Endgame because he was filming "Sherlack Holmps: The Case of the Rousing Watson" at the time.

>4. I don't know. It ruined the movie for me. I miss silent movie dialogue cards.
sensible kek

question i'm actually curious about: what are the next main mcu nexus movies going to be now that avengers is done? and who is going to be the next overarching villain?

BAIT THREEEEEAAAAAAD

Probably kang or galactus

>who is going to be the next overarching villain?
I could easily see them forcing us to re-watch past phase 1-4 scenes only to, now, realize the skrulls had long-since invaded (i.e secret invasion).

What killed it for me was the time travel.

It divided the cast so character interactions were hobbled, and it gave us a significantly less compelling version of Thanos for want of a big final boss.

Nebula was great, though. Did not expect her to steal her every scene.
Part of why I hated them splitting up the team. I wanted way more of her interacting with them.

galactus was already in a fantastic four movie though, not that it matters i guess

somebody has a crush on Nebula!!!!

Well, we know of 3:
Spider-Man Far From Home
GOTG Vol 3
Black Panther 2
We also know that (MAYBE barring small cameos) RDJ, ScarJo and Evans are done.

In terms of big bad villain, we could get Galactus, Kang, Annihilus, Dormammu,

Man what about some Celestials looking to tear shit up?

also they can't use kang because of the meme lol..

You do know there’s gonna be a Black Widow movie, right?

here's my opinion about this thread:

Skub > Avengers Endgame

Based retard

Well, now

I hope she's the leading lady of Guardians 3 instead of the very lame time-displaced Gamora.

yeah it seems kind of pointless now to give her an origin story when she's already dead lol. could/should've done it like ten years ago.

kekekekekekekek

those aren't nexus movies (as in bringing all of the characters together) in the way avengers movies are. maybe there will be "the new avengers" led by that black guy or something gay like that.

Of course there's going to be "nexus" movies.

Highly doubtful. I read a leaked early draft where the Falcon totally claims the mantle of Captain America and is offered a newly engineered super soldier serum. But after he takes it, he catches autism and posts 22 questions concerning Endgame plot holes.

Marvel is reportedly going to have a new Black Widow.

that's silly though. she doesn't have any superpowers or distinguishing characteristics other than being spy who's good at combat. why would there be a new one in the way there could be a new iron man or spiderman or something.

>new iron man
He’s done
>spiderman
There is

new spiderman=you get bit by spider and shot web
new iron man = you just wear the suit
new black widow = you're female and can fight

thought you meant a new character caleld black widow but i gues that s not your point

It's at least part of her comic backstory that she is a product of a Soviet/Russian espionage program that produced additional BWs.

i bet the new one's gonna be black

Faith Evans would be perfect for Black Widow 2

the new avengers are going to be that black guy who's the new captain america, black panther, shang-chi, captain marvel, the new black widow (who iwll be black), and also spiderman but he'll mostly be there for the others to shit on because he's a white boy

>captain marvel
and by this i mean the new black captain marvle ofc

Far From Home is the last movie of Phase 3, btw.

And we know that there's a Black Widow movie and an Eternals movie in production. We've also got Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Guardians 3, and Shang-Chi confirmed coming. Holland also said that Spider-Man will have a trilogy of films in the MCU during an interview, so I'd say that a Spider-Man 3 is a safe bet for Phase 4. And considering how much some of the cast and directors of former movies have talked about wanting to participate in it if it ever gets done, I'd be willing to bet money on a Thunderbolts movie possibly showing up as well.

Phase 4 already has 8 release dates confirmed for the next 3 years, and we honestly know what 7 of them will most likely be already.

nm actually she's a pakistani muslim which is even more hilarious

>Shang-Chi
I'm Half-Asian and I can't even get half excited for a Shang-Chi movie. WTF could they possibly do that would make that movie worth watching? Not even kidding.

well the mcu has featured the genres of lotr style fantasy adventure, star wars space opera, war film, thriller, harry potter magic school, and others, but still hasn't covered hong kong martial arts flick. so it's pretty much necessary

I hope they get ang lee or at least a director who knows how to make a Kung fu movie. Iron fist gave me little hope on how these things will turn out

Jackie Chan directs Shang-Chi.

So you think something like this, maybe?

May 1, 2020: Black Widow
November 6, 2020: The Eternals
February 12, 2021: Shang-Chi
May 7, 2021: Guardians of the Galaxy 3
November 5, 2021: Doctor Strange 2
February 18, 2022: Black Panther 2
May 6, 2022: Thunderbolts
July 29, 2022: Spider-Man 3

i'll probably just watch the next gotg and doctor strange movies and be done

We're all hoping for something like PIC RELATED right?

Attached: ShiangChi.jpg (660x371, 30K)

Please stop it with the spoilers, I haven't watched the Half in the Bag yet and I won't know what to think.

Quads mean we must obey.
But before we do, Captain Marvel picks up Thor's Hammer after Thanos cuts off Thor's arm.

just try to tell me that this isn't true tho lol

its a comic book movie

Is OP a nigger? That explains everything

Were you staring at your phone for three hours?
