30 year DM/GM.
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5e.
Champions, Chill, Call of Cthulhu, Twilight 2000, Warhammer 40k. Blood Bowl, Gorka Morka, Mordenheim.
Other shit I'm sure I've forgotten this early.

My math incompetence and lack of friends that are into ttrpgs prevented me from doing so, the closest i got to playing one was once in school i had a friend who was into Vampire the Masquerade but he moved away before we could convince enough people to play with us.
I did read a lot of Dragonlance though i doubt that counts.

Me
Since i am a Flash fag i wanted to play a fast character. So i did the Tabaxi shit and became Berry Meawllen the fastest cat that can travel 1125 feet per round

That depends, why do you ask?

I'm running a champions campgain after my finals and it's a chance to incorporate all the ideas I've had in my head and was just wondering if any other Yea Forums dudes play TTRPGS, I mostly DM shit like Starfinder and Shadowrun but I've always wanted to do Capeshit

Well I'm game, but will likely not show up due to timezones. Good luck though

I remember when Yea Forums was new, before /tg/ existed and Yea Forums was used as the /tg/ board. To discuss dnd and other rpgs.

I have played some weeb TTRPG (we mostly fool around) and some WRPG’s.

D&D 5, Pathfinder 1, Anima.
Played for a couple of years with my group of friends untill I grew bored of how they always tried to con me into long campaings by promising short ones and how I always ended being front line tank because they always wanted to be magical/charisma/sneaky bullshitters.

Twice a week every week, I gotta say though I hate that Wizards won't release more content. Xanathar's is over a year old and the only content we've gotten since is the Ravnica stuff which amounts to a couple backgrounds, some monstrous race variants, and 2 Archetypes.

Since the late... 70’s.
Recently I’ve been doing WEG Star Wars; Basic Expert DnD in my own Mars setting (pic related) and ICONS.

hey /tg/ gotta question for ya: When the fuck are you going to stop sperging about WH40K and start discussing Heroclix?

Attached: heroclix.jpg (600x600, 44K)

Yes, made a Kobold Barbarian based off of Scappy-Doo
ended-up being more useful than I expected

Attached: Scrappy.png (700x494, 132K)

Let me tell you something, Wiz is fucking terrible at advertising this shit, on top of that Superheroes in anything but movies and Vidya is still a niche thing. I buy heroclix but mostly to rebase them and use them as minis for other games

Also forgot to mention that my local game stores seem to be stocking less and less of them and one of them just stopped stocking them altogether

Based boomer GM

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (680x585, 260K)

Played DnD for a year, planning on playing a Maztican Aasimar Vengeance Paladin in my next campaign.

Haven't played Warhammer since I was a teem, but I do wanna give Kill Team a try with some Dark Eldar I have gathering dust on my shelf once I find the time to.

Could you do a ttrpg based on a cartoon?

Yes there's a lot of systems out there that can do what you want, the medium isn't just dungeons and dragons

My friends and I played a Who framed roger rabbit type game
Fucking best game i ever played. It was toon force slapstick hero's vs gritty comic book villains

I played ONE game in 2015 with a group of old people at a comic book shop. It was so much fun and I liked playing with all these old men and women who had been playing for decades. One old woman gave me some extra dice for me to use since I didn't have any of my own. Alas the REALLY OLD fart who GM closed it off to outsiders after my one play session with them. I don't know why. I was very reticent about talking too much, or annoying other players. I'd like to play more but there are no games in my area. I'd have to drive an hour and a half to play. It's still a good memory for me though. I'd play again if I had the opportunity.

Do you have any peridot minis?

You can make paper minis using cardstock paper

Yes, many, started in 03 and despite having had a diverse experience of systems and games I still double down on D&D because I know I’m basic.

Vanilla Ice Cream basic.
Can I get a baconeggncheese basic.

I live in a population dense place and am a social butterfly who runs three games (a weekly, a monthly, and an every other month) with different friend groups and have options of more if I were to so choose because I know too many damn folks.

I larp, I used to organize an 80-100+ player 3 day parlor game annually for a convention until I was asked to leave because I clearly wasn’t dealing with the rest of my life falling apart.

I got too many games, and I wish I could share that wealth with those of you who have not...but offer Yea Forumsmrades that all you need do is ask a friend or start putting yourself out there if you are willing and able to reasonably do so.

If not, I roll for the day whence you can.

Fuck me and fuck the IP range bans punishing mobile posters. I have been trying to post this intermittently over the course of a road trip and my inability to contribute here is pissing me off.

Uuh, I've played a bith of Hero Quest when I was like 8, does that count?

I love pouring over the codexs and faction books for shit like Mordheim and Warhammer but I've never cared about actually playing the games.

>started a fresh campaign recently
>roll a Dragonborn Cleric
>have all that damage, all that Healing spells, all that support spells, all that divine AC of 19
>super proud of him
>get dropped down during an encounter
>roll three fucking 1s in a roll on my Death Saves
The DM threw me a bone and gave me a chance with that extra roll, but damnit, he died, now I’m playing a Wizard.

You go full Barsoom sword and planet?

Played Shadowrun back in school and University. Never had trouble getting a Group together. Something about Shadowrun and germans just seems to click.
I really there were comics or maybe even a movie. We came up with so much cool stuff.

Since Anno Domni 1980 -- Player & DM/GM.

I've played a few one shots and a super short dark heresy campaign. I want to get into it more but all the local places who host these things never get back to me when I ask

I'm DM for two groups of 11yo's at a school.

It's pretty fun.

I play and DM D&D 5e and play a very modified version of Vampire the Masquerade. Have also been trying to DM City of Mist for the latter group, but it isn't catching on.

Ive been trying to do this at the program I work at (for kids that grow up in the system if you understand what I mean). How do you prevent this age group from trying to change their class 10x a session and from getting wiped by guards constantly because all they do is try to mug guards and rob shops?

City of Myst is both fun but weird on how its all laid out. I really like how you make your logos and mythos but the vagaries of the setting without its own story is there.

Yeah, it's a mixed lot. The whole logos/mythos thing was cool and we managed to establish a pretty neat setting, but all of the different tags and bonuses were a little hard to keep track of an implement smoothly. (And my players are idiots, but that's on us.)

I mainly play D&D, I’ve tried some superhero games but the systems always leave much to be desired

Its one of the only PbtA games I like, I’m using it to run a weird kitbashed game.

Logos only CoM for the “real” world of the story and actual skills and abilities of the characters.

5E DnD to represent the abilities of their character’s avatars in an MMO they are totally getting trapped in...because I’m grabbing the narrative low hanging fruit.

I gather TTRPG= pen and paper?

There's a system called "Toon" or something like that, you'd get splatted by an anvil and just sit out of it for a few minutes.
There's some anime system like Big Eyes Small Mouth or OPERA, too.

Yeah, there are plenty of generic systems that could be used to do action shows and capeshit for sure. Other anons have mentioned “Toon”

There are also a plethora of games that exist because of cartoons.

Ghostbusters the RPG is pretty cool.
There was a Palladium made TMNT game.
And there’s a Pirates of Darkwater game

That sounds really neat.

Hope it is, first session is this week. Midway through the session they’re getting trapped and I begin their war with an Expy of Peter Molinuex and his distraction, an AI of a voice actor who used to DM now trapped in the avatar of a deathless villain driven mad by being trapped in the game

Yeah, that really does sounds like so much fun. Hope it works out as you want it to!

I play genesys, star wars FFG, and android.
>tfw no new friends to play tabletop games with

Attached: Space man.png (450x450, 162K)

yes genesys has you covered. Someone made a avatar game and its really fun to play with

youtube.com/watch?v=1ARU3cXVjWc&t=1s

I have only ever tried Dnd 5e, being a SEA monkey it is hard to find people to play with due to time zone. And i can only play "play by post" type too
