Is the blu-ray for this movie any good? I heard some Disney blu-rays are shit but I'm interested in getting this one since it's my favourite

The Disney blu rays to steer clear of are Sword in the Stone and Tarzan. Hunchback is fine.

Thanks

Tarzan is fixed. The ones to add to the avoid list as well are The Aristocats and Robin Hood.

It sounds like Xerox Disney films have it the worst on blu-ray?

The ones for modern movies are probably fine since they were made digitally in the first place. It's ones made on film that had cheap, quick """""restorations""""" that you have to worry about.

What was wrong with Tarzan?

Cinderella's bad too.

How did they manage to fuck up Tarzan if it was already digitally colored?

The first print had some encoding issues, the newer ones have it fixed.

Yeah, my favorite Disney movie is also the one that rapes and butchers a literary classic just to make some shekels off little kids.

Look man, if you wanna talk about it, we can talk about it. It's not a perfect adaptation, but it's got a lot of good stuff still going on.

thats tragic

it's based on an alternative more commercial friendly version written by hugo himself for theatre audiences you baboon

Yo check this out

Reminder that Victor Hugo wrote an opera adaptation 5 years after he published Hunchback, called La Esmeralda and it's just as butchered.

Victor Hugo would have loved the movie because it still made people interested in the cathedral and it made money, he'd only be upset that he wasn't alive to get any.

I don't even like Ellis, but she's spot-on here.

All but the talking gargoyles are things that had been common in Hunchback adaptations since before the advent of film.

Sweet christ. Who gave the thumbs up to this?

why do people like this cuck movie?

I relate to Quasimodo. I too am a deformed cuck who was abused by a Christian man.

since its a disney film after Little Mermaid it had no grain originally, the issue however is that when they went back to the original CAPS files, they altered the linework to make it thinner, and used oversaturated redish colors in the first batch of home video releases on DVD and the Blurays had this overly purple and blueish and puke greenish colors
